Julian's pov
The morning sun filtered through the dense canopy of trees as I scoured the pack's records for anything that could link the wolves from the stakeout to the pack's politics. I couldn't shake the memory of the two shadowy figures discussing their plans to separate Pecan from both Paul and Liam. Their voices,gravelly, secretive, and filled with malice,still lingered in my mind like a haunting melody.
Hours of digging finally bore fruit. A name on one of the records caught my eye,Thomas Reynolds. I recognized him as one of the wolves involved in the stakeout. What chilled me to the bone was the footnote under his name, listing his affiliations: one of which included Stella's inner circle.
"Stella," I muttered under my breath, the name burning my tongue like venom. That woman had always given me bad vibes, but if she was directly involved in sabotaging Pecan, this was bigger than I initially thought.
