Hokage Building.
Right under the Great Stone Faces which overlooked the village was a red building with the word Fire carved at the top, the place where most of the important decisions of Konoha took place.
Arriving outside the building, Isamu was led inside by an Anbu already stationed outside, waiting for him.
Knock!
"Come in."
After knocking on the office door, Isamu didn't have to wait long as a calm and collected voice from the office allowed him to enter.
As soon as he entered the office, Isamu found a gaze lingering on him, seeing the Second Hokage Tobirama slightly leaning back on his seat with his red eyes focused on him completely.
"Lord Second!" greeted Isamu and bowed a little as well, not forgetting the necessary etiquette.
Tap! Tap!
Isamu saw Tobirama just quietly gazing at him while tapping the desk before him with his fingers, for a while absolute silence in the office.
"I'm curious, how did you manage to come up with that ninjutsu? I want to know what inspired you to create it." asked Tobirama with his eyes focused on a report before him, on it all the life trajectory of Isamu till now but nothing there that could link Isamu to seeing something that inspired him to create a jutsu so similar to that.
Isamu's face didn't show any abnormality at this question as he seemed to have expected it already, showing a wry smile on his face and speaking.
"What other than survival could inspire a man who had lost his father due to his lack of strength? Like most of the shinobi in the village, I could only depend on myself and tried to think out of the box, this ninjutsu is a product of that."
"Is there some problem with my jutsu, Lord Second?" asked Isamu calmly, throwing a question back at Tobirama.
There was a long silence once again, eventually Tobirama breaking it with a slightly less serious look in his eyes than before.
"It's really a waste for someone like you to stay at the academy and teach brats. Do you want to join the Anbu Black Ops?" Tobirama changed the subject completely and didn't press further on the matter of his rasengan's inspiration.
"I'm really honored, Lord Second, but I don't think I'm ready for it, at least not yet." Isamu didn't want to dive into danger immediately after finding a way to improve himself. Now all he wanted was stability and as much time as possible.
"Well~ it's up to you, but try not to take too much time." Saying that, Tobirama put away the report of Isamu before him on the desk and began to go through the other documents on the side.
But after a while, Tobirama raised his head with a confused look, gazing at Isamu who was still in the office and hadn't left yet.
"I would like to offer my jutsu to the village, Lord Second." told Isamu, as at his words Tobirama's brows wrinkled for a second before showing an interesting look on his face, his lips curving into a rare smile.
"Interesting~ what do you want?"
The sun had almost set when Isamu walked out of the Hokage Building, in his hands a thick scroll which contained what probably would help him the most in the pirate world.
Senju Tobirama's personal notes on his research on Water Style and a few of his invented Water Release ninjutsu were in the scroll also.
Arriving back home, the first thing Isamu did was take a long and relaxing bath, and after that, changing into comfortable clothes, made himself dinner—tonight having grilled beef with rice and corn soup.
After dinner, Isamu spent two hours reading another popular novel in the shinobi world and then finally, changing into his shinobi attire, urged the chakra in his body. On his right forearm appeared a mark.
With a thought, Isamu activated the mark on his arm completely as immediately he felt the world around him spinning, everything going dark and then familiar towering trees coming into his view.
"Right at the spot where I disappeared from, huh." muttered Isamu as he looked at the burnt snake head with its huge body lying at some distance, some small but dangerous animals scavenging on it already.
