Chapter 8 - Chapter 7 Part 2- Link Up Rex Via Gate of Undead

The sky dimmed as the second wave approached.

Seventy-five undead, twisted by the DAGE03 virus, marched toward the fortified walls of Forvil. Their groans echoed like broken horns, their eyes hollow with corrupted memory.

Rex stood atop the battlement, his armor gleaming in the dusk. The Trirex suit pulsed—red plating fused with pink triceratops glyphs, glowing like a divine beacon.

He didn't wait.

"Rex Blitz. Tricera. Let's go."

He leapt from the wall, landing in the center of the horde with seismic force. The ground cracked beneath him.

Then he moved.

One undead struck from the left—Rex smashed it with a spinning elbow.

Another lunged from the right—he countered with a reverse kick.

A third rose behind him—he knocked it upward.

A fourth charged—he knocked it out cold with a downward strike.

Then he clicked his belt.

"Rex Drill-Up Smash!"

The suit surged. A spiral of energy erupted from his boots, drilling into the earth and releasing a shockwave that flattened the remaining undead in a single divine burst.

Silence.

Rex turned to the guards.

"Take them to the infirmary. They're healed."

Rex exhaled. The suit dimmed slightly.

"Let's take a break. Ten minutes.

I want to meet your general."

The guards nodded and led him through the golden corridors of Forvil. Banners fluttered overhead—orc warriors etched in bronze, half-human, half-pig, symbols of strength and survival.

Inside the war chamber, a tall orc with emerald tusks stood waiting.

"I'm General Vistovin," he said, voice deep and steady.

"Thank you for saving our people."

Rex nodded.

"I'll handle the waves. Don't worry."

System Update – Wave 3 Incoming

Suddenly, the system pulsed again.

Wave 3: Activated

3 Brionic Controllers

Warning: Lich is not a virus-infected monster.

It is a pure anomaly.

Objective: Clear all and send to infirmary.

Reward:

High-Level Memory Orb

Expansion: Previous Gate World Accessible if Defeated

Rex froze.

"A Lich… not infected?"

The chamber fell silent.

The saga was about to shift.

The third wave loomed beyond the horizon—

a mass of corrupted bodies, dragging blades and bones,

led by three Brionic Controllers and a floating Lich anomaly.

Rex stood atop the wall, silent.

The wind shifted.

His belt pulsed.

He reached into his side pouch and pulled out three glowing orbs—each humming with ancient memory.

The first: a silver orb etched with claw marks.

Memory of the Wolf.

The second: a violet orb feathered with glyphs.

Memory of the Raven.

The third: a blazing red orb, pulsing like a heartbeat.

Memory of the Minotaur.

One by one, he pressed them into his belt.

The system roared to life.

System Update: 3 Orbs Activated

"Rex… Rex… Rex…"

The transformation began.

Chimera Trirex Form – Equipped

His left arm surged—

Wolf claws extended, tipped with drilling nails.

His right arm ignited—

A blazing Minotaur hammer formed, its edge fused with drill plating.

From his back, raven wings unfurled—

Dark, sharp, and ready to slice the sky.

A Minotaur tail coiled behind him—

Balanced, armored, and reactive.

The armor shimmered—red and pink fused with black glyphs.

The helmet glowed with a triceratops crest, now crowned with raven feathers and wolf fangs.

Chimera Trirex Set: Equipped

Link Level: Not Yet Set

The guards stared in awe.

One whispered:

"Wow…

Awesome looking, Mr. Rex Hero."

The third wave had arrived.

One hundred and fifty undead surged across the barren field, their bodies twisted by the DAGE03 virus, their eyes hollow with ancient corruption. Behind them floated the anomaly—an armored figure cloaked in black mist, untouched by infection. The Lich.

Rex stood at the edge of the wall, his armor glowing with fused memory. The Chimera Trirex Form was fully active—wolf claws on his left, a blazing Minotaur hammer on his right, raven wings spread wide, and a coiled tail ready to strike.

He didn't hesitate.

With a roar, Rex launched forward, his boots cracking the stone beneath him. He struck the Lich first—one brutal blow that sent the ancient entity flying backward, crashing into the far wall of the battlefield.

Then he turned to the horde.

Tail Smash!

His Minotaur tail whipped through the air, striking the ground with seismic force. The undead were lifted—airborne, suspended like broken puppets.

Wolf Claw – Drilling Rush Combo!

Rex's left arm surged. The claws spun with divine torque, slicing through the air. He dashed through the floating undead, one by one, each strike purging the virus and restoring their true forms.

Humans. Elves. Orcs.

They fell gently to the ground—healed.

Rex turned to the guards.

"Take them to the infirmary.

I'll handle the Lich."

The Lich Speaks – Benty of 3CE

From the shadows, the Lich rose.

His voice was calm.

Ancient.

"So… you're the one they call Rex."

He stepped forward, sword drawn.

"My name is Benty.

Age: Thirty thousand years.

Era: 3CE.

I am the oldest Lich in this world.

I am also… an Awakened One."

He raised his blade.

It pulsed with black glyphs.

"This is my Patriot: Undead Awareness.

I am a Lich Swordsman.

Let us begin."

The Duel Pact

Rex nodded.

"This is a challenge.

If you win, I'll become your assistant.

If I win, you'll become mine.

No kill rules.

Just honor."

The Lich smirked.

"Arrogant human hero…

Come.

Ready your fight."

The wind stilled.

The duel was about to begin.

The wind stilled.

The duel had begun.

The Lich, Benty, raised his hand toward the floating grimoire beside him—his Patriot, the sacred book of Awakeners. Its pages shimmered with cursed glyphs, hovering in midair like a divine judge.

Benty spoke with calm authority.

"Open Page One—Sanctuary: Undead Frenzy."

The Patriot obeyed.

A dark sanctuary unfolded across the battlefield.

The ground cracked open, releasing a wave of black mist.

In the center stood a single red monoprismatic blade, glowing like a cursed beacon.

From the shadows, undead soldiers rose—

Their eyes hollow, their armor rusted.

They knelt before Benty.

"King… we awake."

Benty raised his hand again.

"Page Two—Skill Page."

The Patriot turned.

The glyphs shifted.

The air pulsed.

He gripped the monoprismatic sword and stepped forward.

"Rex… let me show you awakened power."

He cleaved forward—

A blur of motion, no wind, no sound.

"Page Two Skill: Chaos Sword Art I – Cleaveless Slash."

The blade moved like a whisper.

No arc. No trail.

Just impact.

Rex didn't flinch.

He spun once—

His Minotaur tail extended, absorbing every strike.

The cleaveless slashes met the tail's spiral armor and dispersed.

Then Rex reached behind him—

Plucked a single raven wing feather.

It shimmered violet.

He held it forward.

The feather transformed—

A blade of light and shadow.

Rex smiled.

"Let's continue."

The Lich Benty raised his sword again.

The Patriot turned its page—glyphs flared in red and black.

"Page Three: Chaos Sword Art Style II – Spacexcross Slash."

He slashed forward.

The blade tore through space itself—

Reality cracked like glass.

The rift struck Rex.

His body convulsed.

His suit shattered.

He collapsed.

From the fragments of his armor, a new form emerged—

Kiota, the true identity beneath the Rex shell.

His allies appeared beside him:

Rex Bolt, the lightning striker.

Triceratops, the armored guardian.

Kiota rose slowly, eyes glowing.

"Wow… I will win this, Mr. Benty. See now."

Rex Bolt nodded.

"Okay buddy—rebattle."

⚡️ Transformation Sequence Initiated

Kiota placed his hand on Rex Blitz's head.

The AI responded:

Kiota transformed.

Clad in a red cybernetic suit, glowing with divine tech—

The Cyberverse Hero had awakened.

Benty repeated his move.

"Page Three: Chaos Sword Art Style II – Spacexcross Slash."

Space cracked again—

But this time, Rex raised his hand.

He touched the fracture—

Rotated it.

Rex Smash.

The cracked space shattered like a mirror.

Rex surged forward.

He met Benty head-on.

Sword met fist.

Parry met parry.

Rex Smash.

Lich Benty stepped forward with sudden force—

A swift kick to Rex's chest sent shockwaves through the arena.

"It's game over, kiddo."

The Patriot flared again.

Page Four opened—glyphs burned crimson.

"Chaos Sword Art III – Straight Wright."

A beam erupted from Benty's sword—

Pure, linear destruction.

It tore through the air like a divine verdict.

Rex didn't flinch.

He reached to his belt—

Inserted a glowing orb.

Link-Up Sequence: Wildy Mode

The AI voice echoed through the battlefield:

"Rex… Rex… Rex… Rex…"

"Link-Up REX – Charge: Wolf."

A howl split the sky.

The ground trembled.

Rex Blitz roared.

"Link-Up REX – Wildy… Ready."

Link Level 9: Set.

Rex surged forward—

Straight into the beam.

But his body moved in wolf techniques—

Fluid, primal, untamed.

He slashed with clawed hands—

Twice.

"Wild Slash!"

The strikes landed.

Lich Benty's armor cracked—

Fragments scattered like cursed glass.

The Lich staggered.

His eyes narrowed.

Frustration surged.

The air thickened with tension.

Lich Benty roared, his voice echoing across the battlefield.

"Page Five—Open!"

The Patriot hovered beside him, pages turning with crimson light.

"Chaos Sword Art Style IV – Sword Dance."

Benty began to rotate—two steps at a time.

With each turn, red blades materialized around him, orbiting like cursed satellites.

He slashed one by one, each movement mirrored with eerie precision.

The blades flew toward Rex.

But Rex, in Wildy Mode, met each strike with primal grace.

His wolf claws spun and parried every blade.

He grinned.

"Wow… fun idea."

Then Rex reached for his belt—

Pulled out a violet orb and inserted it.

⚡️ Link-Up Sequence: Feathery Mode

"Rex… Rex… Rex… Rex…"

"Link-Up REX – Charge: Raven."

A raven roar split the sky.

Rex Blitz roared back.

"Link-Up REX – Feathery… Ready."

Rex spread his wings—

Lifted into the air.

He summoned a storm of feather blades—

Each glowing with violet edge.

He launched them downward—

The blades sliced through every red sword in Benty's orbit.

The Lich rotated again—

Summoned twenty more blades.

Rex responded mid-air—

Launched ten feather blades to the ground.

They rebounded—rising higher—

And shattered all of Benty's summoned blades.

Then Rex took a single feather—

Held it forward.

He dashed.

Each strike was parried.

Each movement mirrored.

Until the final blow—

Rex's feather struck true.

Benty staggered.

His cloak flickered.

He was knocked out—briefly.

The Lich now stood in silence.

Tension rising.

Lich Benty raised his skeletal hand, eyes glowing with crimson fury.

"Now I will win."

He turned to the Patriot Codex.

"Page Twenty-Five—Open."

The codex shimmered.

"Chaos Sword Art Blossom III – Piercing Chaos Burst."

From every direction, blades erupted—

Infinite slashes spiraling toward Rex, designed to defeat any target within range.

The air trembled.

But Rex was ready.

He took the orange orb from his belt.

"It's time."

He inserted it.

Link-Up Sequence: Horned Mode

"Rex… Rex… Rex… Rex…"

"Link-Up REX – Charge: Minotaur."

A mino roar thundered across the arena.

Rex's form shifted—

A mino tail extended behind him, and a blazing mino hammer materialized in his grip.

The infinite slashes came.

Rex parried each one—

Using his tail like a whip, slashing every sword mid-air.

Then he rotated—

The blazing hammer spun with volcanic force.

He smashed forward—

Each blow echoing like thunder.

Lich Benty staggered—

Rex's smash power continued.

Until finally—

The Lich fainted.

Rex turned to the orc guards.

"Job complete. Take Benty to the infirmary. Feed him calcium—to reappear the bones he lost."

The system chimed.

The Gate of Worlds began to close.

A countdown appeared:

⏳ Five minutes remaining.

"Please return to Ikora before the gate closes—with Lich Benty as ally."

A Cyberverse Train waited nearby, humming with portal energy.

Rex turned to the guards.

"Give me Benty. I'll heal him at my home. Time to say goodbye to this world—Mecara World."

Rex boarded the train.

The gate shimmered behind him.

He arrived home.

Placed Benty gently in his room.

Before sleeping, Rex opened the Lich's mouth—

Inserted calcium tablets.

Then curled up beside him.

And slept.

Lich Benty stirred.

His floating Patriot hovered beside him, pages fluttering softly.

He sat up, eyes scanning the unfamiliar room.

Then he saw the mirror.

He froze.

"What…? My injuries… healed?

How is that possible? I'm made of bone.

How can bones heal?

Where am I?"

Kiota walked in, sipping coffee.

"You're awake. Good.

Take this calcium drink. I already had my coffee."

Benty blinked.

"Where are we?

We were in the middle of battle.

Why is my body healed?

Where are my old cracks?

I look like a new Lich.

What did you do, human?"

Kiota turned to Rex Bolt.

"See what he's saying?

He doesn't even remember the battle."

Rex Bolt chuckled.

"Oh, Lich—you lost."

Triceratops added:

"Yeah, you lost.

And now you're healed by calcium tablets.

They improve bone.

It's all thanks to my buddy."

Kiota smiled.

"Okay, buddies—go play."

He turned to Benty.

"And Lich, according to our duel, I won.

So you're my ally now.

This is your home."

Kiota grabbed his bag.

"I've got a part-time job now—news anchor.

Need money for food.

Be ready tonight.

We're heading to Zebta World."

Benty looked confused.

"So… I work here? What do I do?"

Kiota laughed.

"Simple.

Cleaning.

Playing with my little buddy bots.

Watching TV.

Learning about our world.

If an emergency call comes, just tell Rex Bolt to reach me."
