~Annalyn POV~
Ezra had gone to where he kept Camila locked away. When he arrived, he heard a noise inside before he even opened the door. He rushed in and found her thrashing on the bed, eyes wide, her voice breaking into screams as if invisible hands were striking her.
"Camila!" Ezra's shout cut through the air as he leapt onto the bed and shook her shoulders.
She shrieked louder, tears rolling down her cheeks, until his voice pressed harder. "Look at me, Camila! Look at me!"
Her eyes finally focused, trembling, and she whispered, "She was here… beating me… beating me!"
Ezra frowned. "Who?"
Camila raised a shaking hand and pointed at the wall. Her lips quivered. "She… Annalyn's adopted mother, she kept coming back! Ezra, please… please take me out of here!"
Ezra narrowed his gaze, suspicion filled his voice. "Are you doing this just because you want to be freed?"
"No!" Camila sobbed, clutching at the sheets. "I'm not lying, she was here. Help me, Ezra, Please…"
