Chapter 29 - 29. everything is ok

( first kiss arc)

The thugs kept beating Haruki raining kicks and punches down on him. Their boss had Hina's mouth covered trapping her cries in her throat. She could only watch helplessly tears streaming as the man she loved was mercilessly beaten. What else could she even do?

Haruki's clothes were drenched in blood his face and head cut open blood dripping from his lips In a broken, fading voice, he could only whisper "Please… let her go.

That's when the third thug slammed his fist hard into Haruki's face and snarled"Shut your mouth!

The fourth thug pressed his boot down on Haruki's face while another stepped forward, a knife gleaming in his hand. Haruki tried to break free but his body had already given up on him he could barely move.

The moment Hina's eyes fell on the knife her heart sank. Panic surged through her. She struggled desperately to escape but her fragile body didn't have the strength. Still in that moment of fear, she did the only thing she could she bit down hard on their boss's hand with every ounce of strength she had and screamed "Leave him alone! I… I'll go with you!

Haruki froze stunned at her words. His bloodied eyes widened in disbelief.

The boss enraged by her defiance, swung a brutal punch across her face. "You bitch!"

The boss's punch landed square on Hina's cheek knocking her to the ground. Even as she fell, her eyes never left Haruki—bloodied, broken, lying helpless before her. All she wanted was to save him, no matter the cost even if it meant sacrificing herself, even if it meant her dignity. But now, all that remained in her gaze was despair, the silent terror of losing him forever.

Blood trickled from her lips, and her body went limp. She collapsed into unconsciousness.

Seeing her like that Haruki couldn't believe his eyes. His vision blurred, his heart felt as if it had been ripped apart. His wide, trembling eyes reflected nothing but shock and grief.

And then, with every ounce of strength left in him, he screamed, voice breaking in agony

"Hinaaaa!"

One of the thugs frowned and asked their boss "Boss she was ready to come with us… then why did you hit her?"

The boss held up his bitten hand rage burning in his eyes. "That bitch dared to bite me.

They all broke into laughter, mocking the sight of Haruki—curled up, sobbing like a child. But then, amidst their laughter, another sound slipped into the air. A low chilling laugh.

The thugs froze, their amusement cut short. Their eyes turned toward Haruki. His body was drenched in blood, his face battered and bruised… yet he was laughing.

But it wasn't an ordinary laugh. There was no joy in it. It dripped with rage, with a hatred so sharp it felt like knives in the air. One by one, the thugs fell silent unsettled.

Haruki's laughter faded. His bloodshot eyes burned as he spoke in a calm, steady voice

"You shouldn't have done this.

The boss snorted, sneering as he stepped closer"Looks like he's finally lost his mind.

But then, in a sudden burst Haruki sprang to his feet. The thug who had his boot pressed against Haruki's face was thrown off crashing to the ground. Before anyone could even blink Haruki's blood-soaked body moved with terrifying speed—two of them were kicked so hard they flew across the ground

Their boss lunged forward with the knife aiming straight for Haruki. But Haruki didn't flinch. He raised his hand into the strike, the blade piercing clean through his palm. Blood spilled, yet his expression never changed. It was as if pain no longer existed for him.

With a roar, Haruki slammed his fist into the boss's face, sending him staggering backward. Pulling the knife out of his own hand, he glared and growled, "It's not your turn yet."

The sight of him now eyes burning, body trembling with a monstrous aura—made the others shiver uncontrollably. Their hands, their legs, their very souls quaked.

Inside, the boss could only think in horror "A moment ago, he was just some weak kid getting beaten… but now… how did he suddenly become this strong? This terrifying?

The thugs charged at Haruki in a blind frenzy, but no matter how wildly they attacked, not a single blow could touch him. He slipped past every strike with ease, his movements sharp, fluid, and almost inhuman.

Dodging effortlessly, Haruki smirked and taunted"You guys are slower than turtles.

In the very next breath, he spun around and delivered a brutal 360-degree kick to one thug's neck. The man's head slammed against the wall with a sickening thud before he collapsed, unconscious.

Another thug's focus wavered for just a second one second too long. Haruki pounced on the opening, driving his knee straight into the man's nose. The crunch of bone echoed blood bursting out as the thug dropped to the ground knocked out cold.

After putting every last thug down Haruki turned his blood-soaked steps toward their boss.

The man's bravado shattered instantly. His eyes widened in terror and he began shrieking like a madman "D-don't come near me! Stay away from me!" He grabbed handfuls of dirt and flung them desperately at Haruki, as if that could stop him.

But Haruki stood tall, unmoving like an unshakable mountain. Before him, the boss was nothing more than an insect, trembling at the edge of being crushed.

Shaking, stammering, the boss begged, "P-please… forgive me I won't do it again I swear! Just let me go!

Haruki's eyes blazed with the same fury he had carried since the moment Hina fell unconscious. His voice was cold merciless each word like the strike of a blade.

"You should have thought about that before.

The boss collapsed onto his knees his pride shattered into dust. Just minutes ago he had been boasting, strutting in front of his men yet now, with all of them lying broken on the ground, he was nothing but a pitiful shell, begging for his life

"Please… let me go,whimpered, his voice trembling.

Haruki's lips curved into a cold smile. His tone was calm, but every word dripped with suppressed rage.

"She begged you the same way, didn't she?"

The very same man who had laughed at Hina's suffering was now the one crawling for mercy.

Haruki's gaze darkened as he reached out, grabbing the thug's wrist—the very hand that had struck Hina. His voice was ice

"This hand this is the one you used to hit her, isn't it?

Before the man could react Haruki twisted his arm back slow at first savoring the fear that spread across the thug's face. The boss screamed, "No! No, please—stop! Don't do this!"

But Haruki showed no hesitation. With a sharp merciless snap he broke the man's arm. The thug collapsed to the ground writhing and screaming in agony, his cries echoing like a warning in the silence.

Haruki released the man's broken hand.his face once again hardening with fury. His voice was low, cutting like a blade.

"So… you wanted to spend the night with her, didn't you?"

"N-no… no!" the thug sobbed tears streaming down his face.

Haruki stepped back slightly planting one foot behind him, his tone cold and final

"Then tonight… will be the night you never forget.

"No, don't! Please, stop—!the thug wailed, but Haruki didn't hesitate. With all his strength, he drove his foot mercilessly between the man's legs.

A guttural scream tore through the air. The thug crumpled, writhing in unbearable agony until the pain swallowed him whole and he passed out cold.

Breathing heavily, his body swaying from exhaustion Haruki staggered toward Hina. Blood streaked down his face, but his arms were steady as he knelt and pulled her into his embrace. Tears welled in his eyes as he held her tightly, his chest shaking with silent sobs. He kissed her forehead, his tears spilling onto her pale face.

And then, suddenly Hina stirred. Her eyes fluttered open, and she found herself in Haruki's arms. For a moment she thought it was a dream. Startled, she pulled back staring at him in disbelief.

His face was covered in blood, yet he managed a faint, reassuring smile

"Don't worry… it's over now Everything's fine.

Tears burst from her eyes as she cupped his face with trembling hands.

"Is it really you… Haruki?"

He nodded softly.

Hina's composure broke she threw herself into his arms clinging to him as if she'd never let go.

"Harukiii!"

Haruki stumbled back from the force of her embrace his back hitting the wall with a dull thud. Pain shot through him, and he winced"Ahh…

But Hina didn't care she cried like a child in his arms, trembling. Haruki gently stroked her hair his voice tender, soothing like a Lullaby.

"Hey… It's okay now. Don't be scared. Everything's alright.

Hina suddenly covered Haruki's battered face with desperate kisses all over his face, clinging to him as fresh tears spilled down her cheeks. She hugged him tighter her voice breaking "I thought… I thought I lost you.

Haruki stroked her hair gently forcing a soft laugh despite the pain in his body "Silly… I'm fine. Nothing happened to me.

She pulled back just enough to wipe her tears, her gaze scanning his bloodied face "You don't look fine…

Haruki leaned his forehead against hers, his voice low and steady"It's over now. The danger's gone. Let's go home.

Supporting his weight against her shoulder, Hina nodded through her tears. "Yes… let's go."
