Chapter 1 - chapter 3

(TheMysterious Past)

Greta's thoughts were consumed by Alexander, and she couldn't help but wonder what his intentions were. Was he genuinely interested in her, or was there something more to his curiosity? As she worked at the café, she found herself glancing out the window, hoping to catch a glimpse of him.

Days turned into weeks, and Alexander became a regular at the café. Greta grew accustomed to his presence, and their conversations became more relaxed. He would ask her about her interests, her favorite books, and her dreams. Greta, in turn, found herself opening up to him, sharing stories and laughter.

But despite their growing connection, Greta couldn't shake off the feeling that Alexander was hiding something. She would catch glimpses of a darker side to him, a side that seemed to lurk just beneath the surface. His eyes would flash with intensity, and his voice would take on a menacing tone when he spoke about certain topics.

One evening, as Greta was closing up the café, Alexander appeared at the door, his eyes locked onto hers. "Can I walk you home?" he asked, his voice low and smooth.

Greta hesitated, unsure if she should accept. But something about Alexander's gaze put her at ease, and she nodded. As they walked through the quiet streets, Alexander told her about his business ventures, his passion for art, and his love for classical music.

Greta listened, entranced, feeling like she was getting to know him better with each passing minute. But as they approached her apartment, she noticed a figure watching them from across the street. The figure was shrouded in shadows, but Greta could sense their eyes on her.

She felt a shiver run down her spine, and Alexander noticed her unease. "What's wrong?" he asked, his voice low and concerned.

Greta pointed to the figure, and Alexander's eyes narrowed. "Don't worry about them," he said, his voice reassuring. "They're just... associates of mine."

Greta wasn't convinced, but she didn't press the issue. As they said their goodbyes, Alexander leaned in, his lips brushing against her cheek. "Be careful, Greta," he whispered. "There are people who might try to hurt you."

Greta's heart skipped a beat as she watched Alexander disappear into the night. Who was he, really? And what kind of world had she stumbled into?

As she entered her apartment, Greta couldn't shake off the feeling that her life was about to change forever. She felt like she was standing on the edge of a precipice, staring into an unknown abyss.

Little did she know that her past was about to catch up with her, and the secrets she had been keeping would be revealed in ways she never could have imagined.

Meanwhile, Alexander watched Greta from afar, his eyes locked onto her apartment window. He knew that he had to protect her, to keep her safe from the dangers that lurked in the shadows. But as he turned to leave, he was confronted by a figure he knew all too well.

"Alexander," the figure said, their voice low and menacing. "We've been looking for you."

Alexander's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with possibilities. What did they want, and how would he protect Greta from the coming storm?
