The breeze strengthened ever so slightly, carrying with it the fragrance of wildflowers as it swept across the endless meadow. It slipped through Vaelric's reddish-blond hair, stirring the loose strands across his forehead before dancing past him as though it possessed a will of its own.
He barely noticed it.
His attention remained fixed on the man standing before him and on what Caelion had just revealed.
The God of Wind had spoken only a few words, yet they had already answered a question Vaelric had carried since leaving the River of Memories.
The wind god knew. He knew he had returned to the past and he also knew he was changing events from the timeline that didn't sit well with him.
Then came another question...If Caelion knew...then what of the other gods?
