The question came too easily...Too smoothly, that Soren's eyes flickered just slightly before he smiled.
"Ah," he said, as if remembering something amusing. "So that is what this is about."
Daeron did not respond immediately, only watched him with steady patience.
Soren continued, voice relaxed. "Why do you ask?" Soren asked with a smile on his face.
"I have noticed something unusual brother," he continued. "You have always taken a peculiar interest in her. Even when she was still under the curse, you were… consistent in your curiosity.
I recall you asking questions—very specific ones—about her condition and about our brother. About whether she had been… bedded yet by him."
A faint silence stretched and Soren tilted his head slightly, gaze sharpening.
"It almost sounded," he added lightly, "as if her situation of physical intimacy with the king, mattered to you more than it should have."
