Chapter 17 - Emergent Fire

Space became very unstable and he started to Phase-Out. It started slowly, until its effects enlarged as negative gravity increased. He knew better than to wait till he scattered and experienced quantum breakdown.

Black holes compress the structural integrity of stuff, so naturally, white holes—their temporal opposite—are expected to repel the structural integrity of stuff. And they did just that.

Haki was currently experiencing such an effect. The device he was under had two effects: BlackholificationandWhiteholification.

One could already guess who came up with such unoriginal names, then slap their forehead in frustration.

It did exactly what it sounded like it would do—Increase gravity and decrease gravity.

But not just that alone, it would also expand time or collapse it—time dilation or time acceleration.

If he left himself to any of these conditions till extremity, he would naturally be compressed into a black hole himself, kissing a singularity till eternity—or would have his bits and pieces all over the place.

Those trillions of atoms of Grava Stars given to him by Hamman—it was time to use them.

He needed a way to have the effect of time dilation or acceleration without his structural integrity being affected.

"Why are you wasting time now? We all know this won't work," Hell was the one who said it this time around.

"I just wanted to experience being space-time vomit again," Acca replied Hell, flipping the page he was reading.

"Alright, can we use the atoms now? Acca, what do we need to do again?" Kevide said while yawning.

Acca waved his hand. Haki's brain waves, if decoded, would look something like this:

[A material that can anchor the warp geometry]

[A stable substrate to handle negative curvature construction]

[Crafting inverse field geometry with the help of yoctobots.]

Grava star atoms, being from collapsed ultra-dense mass, are ideal for crafting inverse field geometry with the help of yoctobots.

"Grava 'atoms' it is," Haki muttered, raising a palm.

The fragments pulsed faintly within his space ring—scraps of a dead star, older than memory. Denser than sense. Jokes aside, it was unnatural.

And now, they were his Yocto-machines' playdough.

Kevide watched as Yoctobots erupted from Haki's wrist like silver smoke. Within milliseconds, they danced through the atoms—disassembling and rethreading through space-time itself.

"We'll need a field bubble with repulsion gradient inverted across a null-time shell."

Acca thought so loud it burned across the others' minds like a code injection.

"I literally understood nothing," Hell said, blinking.

"It means we push space and time away like they stink, just like they tried to vomit us moments ago," Kevide translated flatly.

The process began.

Yoctobots constructed a triply-inverted shell around Haki's body. Every nanosecond, they realigned the atomic structure into something non-physical.

It needed three properties to be considered practical:

Time-transparent

Gravity-repulsive

Causality-slick (meaning the laxness of the law of cause and effect)

The air around Haki cracked.

[SYSTEM STATUS: INVERSE FIELD GEOMETRY — 34% COMPLETE]

[NEGATIVE CURVATURE REACHED — LOCALIZED TIME PRESSURE RISING]

"Warning! Space-time resistance increasing. We're 'pissing off' the universe," Acca said with a grin.

"U mean galaxy?" Hell snickered.

"Argh! Whatever," Acca shot back.

"Good," Haki replied, his eyes now glowing with pulsing blue circuits. He activated his Yocto-optic eyes.

"I'm done obeying its clock."

[You are under -9,800,000,000,000x gravity]

The area he was in snapped into place with a hollow sound.

THUD

Then, it happened… he could see it…

Time outside came to a crawl—leaves froze mid-fall, a breeze halted mid-whistle. Inside, Haki's heart pounded 365 times faster, relatively.

But he wasn't strained by any law. He was …free.

[SYSTEM STATUS: INVERSE FIELD GEOMETRY — 100% COMPLETE]

[You are under Whiteholification: TIME RATE 365:1]

[WARNING: Absolute Isolation Achieved]

[Space-time Rejection Field Active]

Kevide smirked, scribbling something on a notepad that didn't exist.

"So… we've basically turned ourselves into a pocket universe?"

"We'll get a year's worth of thinking while others blink," Hell added.

"Damn. I should've brought more training equipment."

Meanwhile, inside the shell, Haki opened his arms to the silence.

"Now," he whispered. "Everyone... quiet."

At that moment, his inner council knew it was time. Time for integration

It had been quite a while since he had done this…he'd been very busy lately.

He had all the time in the world now. He sat cross legged and tried entering his perfect state of mind…

'Aren't you being delusional, as old as you are, still living in fantasies…?'

Time passed- no, flew.

Haki had thoughts roaming through his mind, as he thought all these through, he realized his existence alone was interacting with the world in some way.

The wind, the sun's rays, the oceans silent rumble, the ever present Andromeda's backdrop—approaching silently. The world was him, he was the world.

'My body is a universe, a universe within a universe, a universe within a universe within a universe…'

'I dare not take the sacred moniker of infinity. I am unimaginably unworthy.'

He didn't know what was going on, his thoughts weren't intentionally driven in that direction, he just… Thought.

After a while, the epiphanies stopped coming, he stopped seeking passively. He was going to actively decipher what he was. How? Using the Universal Runic Language.

Unfortunately, he was too weak—for now— to use something that requires sophisticated mental function, only an augmental could do this effortlessly.

He waved his hand and a body landed on the floor beside him. This body then shot out away from Haki's perimeter due to the repulsive force still in effect around Haki. The repulsion seemed slow In Haki's yes though, he was in a 365:1 time zone after all.

He simply connected his mind with the Clone. Its eyes jolted open, as it stood, the effect of the whiteholification was completely negligible on his skin. Haki looked at his cross-legged self through the clone. Activating the program…

[Q-BasicSeries]

[The Universal Runic System]

That was all the system displayed. Anything Haki's clone looked at would suddenly be displayed in various data types have words, texts, and code, mumbled and jumbled all together in front of it. The constant change in subtle temperature, air and vapor pressure, humidity etc., all changed the values in front of the clone's eyes in real time.

The clone directed his Gaze once more towards the cross-legged Haki and scrutinized him. All that was displayed was UNDEFINED

"Hmm, the undefined property is something that happens when it is directed towards a person, quite normal, but why…" The voice came out from Haki's Clone "Why? Are humans not considered as part of the Universe? If so, why?"

More time passed…

Instinct: [Five in, seven out…]

Haki's breathing pattern changed and his shoulders relaxed, he started having flashbacks about himself, the last time he had a breakthrough… even further back, his time in debauchery, the time people said all he knew how to do was 'repeat', his first betrayal, his first love, his first heartbreak, The moment the world tore off its mask… he remembered everything, and instinctively, he began to speak…

"They dragged me into darkness. Stripped me of everything I was. Left me to rot in the pit—the pit they dug for me."

"They wanted me to wither. To vanish. To become just another forgotten name in the wind."

"But I didn't kneel. I didn't break."

"Because I was never meant to be buried."

"I was meant to conquer…"

As he continued speaking, he started entering into deeper states of mind, connecting with himself on a deeper level, one connection in particular was becoming very strong, too strong… but it was too late to stop now…

"I was meant to rule." He didn't notice it but the once UNDEFINED reading on the Clone's scanner started morphing into something, as if waiting for something more...

"And now—I'm back. And I did not come alone." He continued speaking in this trance-like state…

"I brought the storm."

"I brought the fire."

"I brought the wrath they tried so hard to extinguish."

"I brought the nightmares that haunt them."

"The shadows that whisper my name in fear."

"I brought the hell they thought they had escaped—because hell was never beneath them."

"HELL WAS ALWAYS WITHIN ME."

RUMBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haki's surrounding's shook like an abyssal beast was about to emerge from the depth of the earth.

...The last echoes of the blast faded, swallowed by the air that now trembled with a pressure not born of physics. It didn't affect matter at all, unlike gravity, this was a pressure on a different level, a different… REALM!!!

From behind Haki... slowly, a silhouette began to emerge.

Plastered on its face was a face splitting Grin. A smile stretched from ear to ear. Eyes narrowed—so tight they were nothing but thin, glowing horizontal slits. Each of his step forward was like reality refusing to register it until it was too late.

HELL DAVE.

Not a thought. Not a voice. Not an imagination. HIM

He was there.

Completely black, from head to toe, the shape—indistinguishable from Haki's own frame.

But where Haki wore shadow, this one was the shadow.

His body was a void—a black so pure it devoured light, yet from his eyes burst contradiction—White Holes, violently glowing, repelling back the very light his body had consumed.

The embodiment of Anti-form. His very Core was a paradox. This was him—The devil born of man.

Then—

Two panels flared into existence…

Haki didn't even bother looking at the panel, he was focused on the second panel for now, and He looked at himself again through the clone:
