The night air hummed with restrained violence.
Bode's black SUV rolled to a stop in front of the den — an abandoned factory that now pulsed faintly with energy, the scent of metal and wolves thick in the air. The window hummed down, and one of his lieutenants, a tall man with streaks of gray in his hair, stepped forward.
"The pack is ready to move, sir," the man said, voice low but firm.
Bode nodded once, his eyes hard and focused. "We leave at once."
The lieutenant bowed slightly and turned away, barking orders into a small communicator.
Bode rolled the glass back up, resting his arm on the window edge. The engine's growl deepened as the SUV began to move forward. Behind him, the pack followed — a sight that could make even monsters tremble.
A long, endless line of black motorcycles, their engines roaring like thunder, cut through the night. Behind them came the convoys — SUVs, off-roaders, trucks, and armored jeeps, all painted matte black, headlights dimmed to slits of red.
From above, it would have looked like a serpent of shadows winding down the empty highway — the pack of Bode Ajibade, an Alpha of the City Wolves, moving like a storm toward one small town that had made the mistake of taking his daughter.
Inside the SUV, Bode's phone vibrated. Asha's last words echoed faintly in his mind: "It gives you a window, not an answer."
He touched the bracelet on his wrist, feeling the faint hum of power beneath the metal, then muttered under his breath, " I hope this is enough, I'm coming ore."
The convoy thundered through the night — silent, deadly, and unstoppable.
---
Tolu's consciousness stirred — faint, disoriented.
Every muscle in his body burned, and his veins felt like fire. He tried to move but couldn't; the cold bite of metal dug into his wrists and ankles. The smell hit him next — wolfsbane. Thick in the air, mixed with rust and damp stone.
His eyes fluttered open. The world swam for a second before coming into focus.
Chains. Walls. A faint flickering bulb above. And beside him — Ore, still unconscious, her head slumped forward, faint traces of bruises on her arm.
"Ore…" he rasped, voice cracked and dry.
He turned slightly — the motion felt like lifting a mountain — and saw two men standing by the far wall, both armed. One leaned lazily on his rifle while the other glanced at Tolu and frowned.
"You're not supposed to be up," the guard said, stepping closer.
The second one scoffed. "He's already full of wolfsbane. Leave him—"
But before he could finish, the first guard pulled a syringe from his pocket, the liquid inside a sickly shade of violet. "Orders are orders."
He walked over, grabbed Tolu by the chin, and stabbed the needle into his side.
Tolu's veins lit with pain — sharp, spreading, suffocating. His back arched, teeth clenched as a growl built in his throat but never escaped. The other guard shifted uneasily.
"That's too much. He might die."
"Then he dies," the first replied coldly, tossing the empty syringe aside.
Tolu gasped, his vision flickering — Ore's faint form, the walls, the guards — all dissolving into blackness.
His last thought before the darkness swallowed him whole was a faint, bitter whisper in his head:
I'm m still too weak
---
Dust rose faintly as the long line of dark vehicles rumbled down the narrow road toward Jide's mansion. The sound of engines grew louder, heavy with the presence of power and purpose.
Inside the compound, guards stood on alert. One of them, panting, rushed toward the veranda where Ige and Tade were already waiting.
"Sir—" he said breathlessly. "A long line of vehicles… they're heading straight this way."
Ige's eyes narrowed. He turned his gaze toward the main gate, feeling the vibration beneath his feet as the convoy drew closer. Tade folded his arms, glancing sideways at him.
"What do you think this is?"
"I don't know," Ige muttered, "but I can take a good guess."
Moments later, the line of vehicles came to a halt in front of the mansion gate — black motorcycles, SUVs, and off-road cars, all glinting faintly under the setting sun. The air felt charged, like a storm about to break.
Ige and Tade walked closer, stopping a few meters from the gate as it creaked open. Ige leaned slightly toward Tade and whispered, "Let me do the talking."
The door of the lead SUV opened with a soft click. From it stepped Bode — tall, calm, but radiating quiet fury. His sharp eyes scanned the area before locking on Ige. The silence stretched for a few seconds, heavy and tense, before he finally spoke.
"Let's talk."
INT. MANSION MEETING ROOM — NIGHT
The air in the room is tense. A long polished table separates the two men — Ige and Bode. Behind them, faint murmurs of wolves waiting outside echo through the thick walls.
Ige leans back in his chair, his eyes narrowing as he studies Bode.
IGE:
I can sense them — more than three hundred wolves. And every one of them carries your scent… your aura.
He pauses, almost in disbelief.
IGE (CONT'D):
You really turned them all yourself. I used to think you were just another city wolf chasing money. Who would've thought you had enough strength to build a force big enough to challenge every pack in the country?
Bode gives a small, humorless smile.
BODE:
You're not wrong. I wasn't interested in a pack when I was younger. I only wanted power, money, and a quiet life. But after a while, I realized — why keep a part of myself caged when it could make my life easier?
He leans forward, voice steady but heavy.
BODE (CONT'D):
I started small. One wolf at a time. Transferring bits of my energy, my essence, into each new one. It was hell, I won't lie. Most nights I felt drained, weak… almost human. But I kept going. Years later, it paid off. I built my empire — not here, but in the city.
Ige studies him quietly, the weight of what Bode says settling in. He knows too well that creating wolves so quickly could have left Bode vulnerable — any other alpha would've died trying.
IGE:
So why are you here, Bode? Men like you don't march back to the wild without a reason.
Bode's eyes darken, his voice dropping low.
BODE:
They took my daughter. And whoever's behind it… will regret ever touching my blood.
He stands, fixing his gaze on Ige.
BODE (CONT'D):
I know you've got unfinished business with them too. That's why I'm here — to ask if you're interested in settling it once and for all.
