Two brilliant beams of light descended from above, enveloping Alice and little Klee.
A moment later, the glow faded.
A card had appeared in Alice's hand.
Both sides of the card displayed the image of a balloon.
Meanwhile, in Klee's hand was a red object resembling a flashlight.
"Boss, my reward is a card?"
After examining the reward in her hand, Alice stepped forward curiously and asked.
This was her first time receiving a reward, so she wasn't very familiar with the process.
"That's a Camping Balloon. It contains multiple rooms inside and comes fully equipped with all daily necessities.
Whenever you want to use it, you only need to think about it."
Han Feng smiled and explained.
"So that's how it works!"
Alice suddenly understood.
So this was how rewards were used!
Still, the fact that her reward wasn't the Anywhere Door left her slightly disappointed.
But after thinking about it again, a Camping Balloon actually sounded pretty nice.
Back when she traveled and adventured, aside from occasionally staying at inns across the Seven Nations, she mostly camped outdoors.
Although she didn't really mind, who wouldn't prefer better living conditions when possible?
And according to the boss, the inside contained multiple rooms along with all kinds of necessities.
Once she brought Klee to Inazuma later, this would definitely come in handy.
"Hehe, thanks Boss! I really like this reward!"
Alice grinned happily before turning toward her daughter.
Only then did she notice Klee playing with the item in her hands.
"Klee, what's that thing you're holding?"
"Mommy, I think it's the lamp from the manga!"
Klee scratched her head as she replied.
Since she had just read the manga, she still had some impression of it.
"A lamp?"
Alice blinked and quickly took the item from Klee's hands to inspect it.
It was shaped like a flashlight.
The handle was red, with a green switch mounted on top.
"Th-This is the Enlarging Light, isn't it?!"
Klee couldn't quite remember, but Alice recognized it immediately.
Her memory was much better, so she remembered many of the gadgets from the manga.
"Yes, it really is the Enlarging Light. It can enlarge the size and weight of objects, and another use will restore them to normal.
If you don't manually restore them, the enlarged effect lasts for one day."
Han Feng explained.
"As expected of my daughter—your luck is incredible!"
After receiving confirmation from the boss, Alice instantly became excited and repeatedly rubbed Klee's head.
This kind of troublemaking gadget perfectly matched her tastes.
She liked it even more than the Camping Balloon.
"Little Klee, stand still! Let Mommy try the Enlarging Light!"
Looking at her adorable daughter, Alice's eyes suddenly lit up with an idea.
"You're going to make Klee bigger? Yay!"
Klee jumped excitedly.
She had wanted to grow up for a long time already.
But for some reason, she had always stayed this size.
Now she finally had a chance?
"When the switch is set to 'Enlarge,' shining it on Klee will make her bigger. When switched to 'Restore,' shining it again will return her to normal."
Seeing what Alice intended to do, Han Feng explained how the Enlarging Light worked.
"Alright, let me try!"
Alice eagerly got to work.
Following Han Feng's instructions, she turned the switch to the "Enlarge" side, then pointed the Enlarging Light at Klee.
As the beam illuminated her body,
Klee's size visibly began increasing.
Before long, she had grown to the size of an adult.
Seeing this, Alice quickly turned off the light.
"Mommy, I really grew bigger!"
Looking at the counter that now suddenly seemed much shorter than before, Klee looked thrilled.
She had finally grown up!
"Yeah! Now you look just like Mommy!"
Looking at her daughter's appearance, even Alice felt astonished.
If not for the childish innocence still visible on Klee's face, the two looked almost identical.
Especially since their outfits were already so similar.
This Enlarging Light was truly incredible!
"But using this thing just to enlarge people feels too wasteful. What should it actually be used for?"
Alice silently began pondering.
Enlarging buildings?
Enlarging ships?
Neither seemed like a particularly good idea.
After all, the effect only lasted one day.
There wasn't much practical value.
Might as well use it on bombs instead—

Alice's eyes suddenly lit up.

She could enlarge bombs!
According to Boss Han, the Enlarging Light could increase an object's size and weight.
Maybe it could increase the power of bombs too!
And unlike enlarging people, explosive power wouldn't have any time-limit issues afterward!
"I'm a genius! I'll test it out once I get to Inazuma later!"
Just imagining the scene made Alice excited.
While she was busy thinking,
Klee suddenly ran over to Han Feng's side.
"Big Brother Han Feng, do you like how Klee looks now?"
Klee hugged Han Feng's arm as she spoke.
Although her body had become larger, she was still a child mentally.
So many of her habits naturally remained unchanged.
She still instinctively acted spoiled and cute.
"Cough cough… not bad. Both versions are adorable."
Han Feng coughed awkwardly.
For some reason, looking at Klee's face now made him feel as though Alice herself was acting spoiled toward him.
The sensation was incredibly strange.
Alice had clearly realized this too.
She hurriedly pulled Klee back and used the Enlarging Light to return her to normal size.
"Mommy, Klee wants to stay big!"
Seeing herself turned small again, Klee puffed out her cheeks adorably.
Before, she had never had a choice.
But now, she wanted to become a "grown-up."
Even if it only lasted temporarily.
"Cough cough, little Klee… Mommy will make you big again later."
Alice crouched down and gently comforted her.
"But why not now?"
Klee blinked, completely confused.
"Well…"
Alice's face reddened slightly.
How was she supposed to explain this?!
Was she supposed to say that seeing enlarged Klee acting spoiled toward the boss made her feel as though she herself were doing it?
That was simply too embarrassing.
If Lumine knew what Alice was thinking, she would absolutely give her a thumbs-up!
Earlier, when Paimon transformed into Lumine's appearance and acted spoiled toward Han Feng, that was exactly how she had felt too!
