Chapter 153 - 153: Aether: “Are you kidding me? That crazy Dark Yugi look — you guys actually think it suits me? Huh… okay, fine, it’s kinda awesome.”

At that moment, the system notification refreshed.

[Customer Aether has finished reading Yu-Gi-Oh! and received the reward — Dark Yugi Outfit Set.]

[Dark Yugi Outfit Set: includes hairstyle, clothing, and a Millennium Puzzle accessory.]

"…What the—"

Han Feng's lips twitched.

Was the system… bullying his brother-in-law on purpose?

This reward didn't just cosmetically change someone— it was a complete transformation from head to toe!

Was Teyvat about to get its own version of Dark Yugi?

And to make matters worse, the Millennium Puzzle wasn't even the real deal— just a decorative accessory!

Still…

as ridiculous as that hairstyle was, Han Feng had to admit—Dark Yugi's whole look was damn cool.

He remembered when Yu-Gi-Oh! first came out— aside from collecting cards, everyone used to imitate Dark Yugi's poses, especially that confident stance when he pulled off a perfect draw.

He wondered whether Aether would like such a "reward."

WHOOOM!

A dazzling light enveloped Aether's body.

Both he and Dainsleif tensed up—

Aether was hoping for a powerful monster or a god-tier card, while Dainsleif was secretly praying his old friend would get something completely useless.

When the light faded, standing before them was a man dressed in a black uniform jacket,

a deep blue cloak, a golden Millennium Puzzle hanging on his chest, and a five-pointed, red-and-yellow spiked hairstyle that defied all physics.

Dainsleif: (⊙_⊙)

Holy Archons… who is this guy?!

Other than the familiar face beneath the wild hair, everything else—the outfit, the accessories, the aura—had completely changed!

Just what kind of reward was this?!

"Thank the heavens I didn't read that manga…"

Dainsleif silently celebrated.

If he had gotten that look, he'd probably have died of embarrassment on the spot.

"Sist—no, I mean, Boss Han, what's going on with me?!"

Aether asked, feeling his hair brushing his shoulders in weird angles.

He could feel the weight of the outfit, the strange accessory on his chest…

there was no mistaking it.

"That's the Dark Yugi look from Yu-Gi-Oh!,"

Han Feng said, suppressing a laugh.

Honestly, though— his brother-in-law actually pulled it off.

The outfit was sharp and regal, and surprisingly, the aura suited him.

After all, in the manga, Dark Yugi was the soul of an ancient pharaoh, a king who ruled over a civilization three thousand years ago.

And Aether?

He was the Prince of Khaenri'ah, a kingdom destroyed five hundred years ago.

If you thought about it…

their fates really weren't so different.

"A reward that transforms you into a manga character…"

Aether muttered, his mouth twitching.

He glanced at the Dark Yugi figurine beside the counter— the resemblance was uncanny.

"Seriously? I get this?

I'd rather have gotten the duel disk!

At least I could use that to summon monsters or something!

What am I supposed to do with this look?!"

He sighed dramatically.

"Some brother-in-law you are, Boss Han…"

When I reunite with Lumine, I'm so telling her about this.

"Remarkably similar!"

Dainsleif exclaimed after comparing Aether with the figure.

"Aether, I actually think this look suits you—suits your identity."

For once, Dainsleif was teasing.

The heavy air between them had lightened inside the manga shop.

"You serious?" Aether frowned.

"You actually think this… thunderbolt haircut suits me?"

"Of course," Dainsleif nodded solemnly.

"I wouldn't lie about something like this."

Sure, Aether was royalty— but his usual outfit never looked particularly princely.

This new look, though…

Even if Dainsleif didn't understand the context of Yu-Gi-Oh!, he could sense the commanding aura it carried.

The hairstyle wasn't a flaw—

it actually amplified the kingly vibe.

Aether suddenly looked like someone who could command destiny itself.

"Boss Han, do you agree?"

Aether asked uncertainly.

Even if his friend approved, he wanted to hear his soon-to-be brother-in-law's opinion too.

After all, Han wouldn't lie to him… right?

"Dark Yugi was the king of an ancient civilization, dignified and powerful.

In that sense, yes—it really does suit you,"

Han Feng said seriously.

And he wasn't lying this time.

He genuinely thought it fit.

What others—like the Abyss Order—might think, well, that wasn't his problem.

"Take a look for yourself."

With a flick of his fingers, Han Feng conjured a shimmering mirror of light.

"That's… me?"

Aether stared in shock.

The reflection was almost identical to the figure— Dark Yugi, down to the sharp gaze and spiked hair.

He leaned in closer.

"Actually… it's kinda… badass?"

When he narrowed his eyes, the reflection exuded authority and presence.

Aether couldn't help but nod in approval.

"Huh. Guess they weren't lying after all."

After a few poses in front of the mirror, he started to enjoy it— the regal posture, the mysterious aura.

Just moments ago, he'd wanted to get rid of the outfit entirely.

Now… maybe he'd keep it for a while.

Han Feng and Dainsleif exchanged silent looks.

Was this really the same Prince of the Abyss?

He looked more like a guy admiring his new haircut in the mirror.

"(⊙o⊙)…"

Aether noticed their stares and coughed awkwardly.

"Ahem. Dain, let's… check your reward next."

Hearing that, Dainsleif suddenly felt a bit uneasy.

He'd been relieved when Aether didn't get something too overpowered— but that ridiculous hairstyle had shocked him enough.

As long as he didn't get something equally insane, he figured he could handle anything.
