Chapter 6 - New Pokémon

Whitney stepped forward, tilting her head up to look at Crimson. "So… is it true? The rumors say your son has Pokémon from the East."

Ethan's voice echoed in his own head, confused. 'From the East? Dad has Pokémon I don't even know about?!'

Crimson glanced at the young girl, then at her mother, a small smirk tugging at his lips. "Yes," he said calmly. "He has that Fire/Ice type."

Ethan blinekd as he went o his Grandfather. "What Fire and Ice Type".

Ethan was very confused, because as far as he remembers, there was no fire and ice type Pokémon in his past life.

Crimson chuckled as he spoke. "For that my Grandson, you will need to ask your Dad, anyway, we will going now".

Kitsu runned to Crimson side as she hold his hand, as they started to leave.

Ethan then stopped and looked at Whitney. "Let's play some other time ok".

wave. "You got it! But next time, I'm bringing snacks, so don't you dare run off early!"

Ethan chuckled awkwardly and nodded before jogging back toward the mansion. His mind, however, was already running laps.

Fire and Ice type…? That shouldn't even exist. The only Pokémon I can think of even close to that typing in my past life was—no, even that wasn't the same.

He opened the front doors and stepped inside, immediately catching sight of his father sitting in the lounge, sipping tea like he hadn't just dropped a multiverse-shaking mystery into his son's lap.

"Dad," Ethan started, crossing his arms, "we need to talk."

His father raised an eyebrow but set the teacup down. "Oh? What about?"

Ethan leaned forward, eyes narrowing. "Grandpa mentioned a Fire and Ice type Pokémon".

He spoke in his head. 'That… isn't possible. Not in my timeline. So either I'm missing something… or you're hiding something.'

For the first time, his father's calm expression cracked into a sly smirk. "Ah. So he told you." He leaned back in his seat, eyes glinting with a mix of amusement and warning. "Then I suppose it's time you learned about… The Frostflame Project."

Ethan looked at his dad as he spoke. "Frostflame Project?".

Shinku looked at his son as he spoke. "Sense your still too young, I can't go to full details, let's say, when expanding our Company to other Region, we went to the east, near the end of the east, was Land of pure snow, and ice, this Region in the Map is only know as the Artic, many believe that this where All ice Types cane from"

Ethan raised an eyebrow as he spoke. "And this Pokémon is the Frostflame Project".

Shinku looked at his son as he continued. "This wasn't made by us, but it was discovered, and will, due to its Aggressive Nature, only a handful of Professors, trainers, and champions know about it?".

Ethan raised an eyebrow as he spoke. "Then why do you have it".

Shinku sighed as he looked up at the marble ceiling of the Mansion. "I was once a very Young and Adventurous Man, so I caught this, but let's go outside".

Ethan nodded. Once they were outside, it was decided that the Whole family should be there. Hence, Crimson, Ethan, Mom, Ethan's sister, all 6 of them, Akagi, Asagi, Outa, Midory, Violet, and Kitsu were also there.

Akagi looked at the whole Family then her father. "So, you're showing him, aren't you?".

Midory clapped as she spoke. "Oh we get to see him, it's been so long".

Violet put down her book, as she spoke. "I hope this time he lets me take notes".

Asagi chucked as she spoke. "I wonder if it still has the same fire from when we were little, Right Akagi".

Kitsu looked at Ethan as she spoke. "What are they taking about?".

Ethan just spoke back to her. "Dad is gonna show us one of his Important Pokémon"

Kitsu blinekd and spoke In disbelief. "Wait dad actually has a Pokémon?".

Shinku, cleared his Voice as he spoke. "Will, I hope you all are ready".

His Wife spowl for all of them, as hee rainbow hair followed in the wind. "We are honey, maybe the Younger onces will not handle that well".

She looked at her two youngest Kid, Ethan and Kitsu, as they looker back at there Mom.

Then there dad pulled out an Ultraball, as Crimson moved to his coat where his PokéBall were, just in case.

"Come out, Abismodible"

The Pokéball went out, as the Pokemon no the creature that cane out shocked Ethan and Kitsu

Ethan stared, his mouth slightly open. 'The Pokémon before him was… impossible.'

The creature loomed like a living contradiction — a towering elemental juggernaut that looked like it had crawled out of both the heart of a volcano and the depths of a glacier. Its body was an armored fortress of crystalline ice, sharp edges glinting like freshly cut diamonds. Yet, in every crack and crevice, molten fire pulsed, glowing like liquid gold veins running through stone. Heat shimmered in the air around it, but instead of melting, the ice seemed to weep slowly, droplets hissing into steam before freezing again in a heartbeat.

Its head was a block of glacial rock crowned with a mane of wild, hungry flame. That fire danced and curled like it wanted to burn the world, casting flickering shadows over a jagged grin of molten gold. Above it, furnace-bright eyes burned with unblinking intensity.

Massive arms of frozen boulder ended in obsidian claws, each twitch radiating raw power. Sparks leapt from its icy shoulders, sizzling against its own body in tiny bursts of steam. Each step it took left behind a patch of slush that refroze almost instantly, as if even the ground didn't know whether to burn or freeze beneath it.

The strangest thing was… it wasn't unstable. Fire and ice weren't fighting for dominance — they had reached a brutal, unspoken truce. A balance born not from peace, but from pure willpower.

'Holy Arceus…' Ethan's thoughts tumbled over themselves. 'That's… that's a Fire and Ice type. This shouldn't even be real.'

Beside him, Kitsu's brown eyes were wide, her usual smirk nowhere to be found. "That… is the coolest thing I've ever seen," she whispered, her voice trembling between awe and fear.

Midory clapped her hands like an excited child. "Oh, it hasn't changed one bit! Still as terrifyingly beautiful as I remember."

Violet had already produced a small notebook from her pocket, her pen scratching furiously across the page. "Its temperature balance… fascinating. The combustion rates alone—"

"Don't get too close," Shinku warned, his voice suddenly heavier. "Abismidible doesn't take kindly to strangers."

The Pokémon's eyes flicked toward Ethan, narrowing slightly. Heat rolled off it in a slow wave, and Ethan had the very distinct feeling that the creature was… sizing him up.

Crimson subtly shifted his coat, his hand brushing the Poké Balls inside. He didn't look nervous, but there was a readiness in his posture that Ethan recognized — the stance of someone who'd seen what this Pokémon could do.

Shinku smiled faintly at his son. "Ethan… meet Abismidible. My most dangerous partner. And one day… maybe yours."

Ethan blinked, his voice barely a whisper. "Mine…?"

The flames on Abismidible's head flared higher.

Ethan didn't take his eyes off the molten glare staring back at him. His voice came out low and uncertain.

"Um… I don't think I'll ever be ready for this type of Pokémon."

Shinku chuckled — not mockingly, but with the knowing laugh of someone who had once felt the same way. "I said the exact same thing when I first met him."

"That was you," Ethan said, taking a small step back. "You're… you. I'm just—"

"—my son," Shinku interrupted, his tone firm. "And one day, you'll understand that being a Harmonia isn't about power. It's about knowing when to hold it… and when to let it loose."

Abismidible tilted its head at Ethan, the ice along its arm crackling as molten fire bled through the fractures. A low, rumbling growl escaped its jagged chest — not a threat, but a sound that carried weight, like it was… testing his resolve.

Kitsu nudged her twin with her elbow. "Go on, pet it."

Ethan shot her a glare. "I'd like to keep my hand, thanks."

Midory giggled while Violet scribbled something in her notebook, murmuring, "Interesting… it's holding back its heat output around the children. That means it's aware of—"

A sudden CRACK interrupted her. A nearby tree branch snapped and hit the ground in a spray of steaming snow. Everyone's eyes went to Abismidible — who was still staring at Ethan.

Crimson gave a slow, almost imperceptible nod. "It likes you."

Ethan's jaw dropped. "That's liking me?!"

Back in their shared room, Kitsu sat cross-legged on her bed, watching Ethan as he lay flat on his back, eyes fixed on the ceiling. He hadn't said a word since they'd left the courtyard, his mind clearly still somewhere else.

"Hey, bro," Kitsu finally asked, tilting her head, "what's wrong?"

Ethan blinked and turned his head toward her. "Nothing… just thinking about that Pokémon."

Kitsu's eyes sparkled instantly. "I know, right? Abismidible was so awesome!"

Ethan gave a dry chuckle, shaking his head at her boundless enthusiasm. "Yeah, sure… awesome in the way a thing looks when it probably eats Snorlax for breakfast and gives Dragon-types nightmares for dessert."

Kitsu grinned wider. "Exactly. My kind of Pokémon."

Ethan sighed, realizing his sister had completely missed his point — or maybe she just didn't care.

Ethan glanced at his twin, a small smile tugging at his lips.

"Will, if you're that excited about it, maybe once Dad gives it to one of us… you can have it."

Kitsu blinked in surprise. "Wait—you'd really let me?"

"Yeah."

Her face lit up instantly. "You're the best brother ever!" she squealed, leaping onto him in a hug. The sudden tackle sent Ethan tumbling back onto the bed—even though he'd already gotten up.
