Chapter 73 - Chapter 70 : Xiao Wu's Calm, Tang Chuan's Storm

Outside the warmth of the kitchen and the classroom, the world carried on.

Life moved forward, growth continued, and bonds were strengthened.

Xiao Wu had successfully transitioned from a simple pet to a powerful young master, Tang Chuan had learned the weight of loss and emotion, and Tang San continued to navigate the delicate balance between mischief, loyalty, and brotherly duty.

This day, marked by torrential rain, bloodshot eyes, and unspoken truths, became a pivotal moment for all of them....a moment where strength, emotion, and human connection intertwined.

Even the reincarnated God King, though fallen to the ground, understood one truth clearly:

some things, no matter how much power one holds, cannot be seized by force.

And with that understanding, Tang Chuan finally allowed himself to rise, drenched in rain, but not defeated.

The night storm raged, lightning splitting the heavens as if echoing the madness inside Tang Chuan's heart.

He staggered into the courtyard, rain plastering his hair and robes against his body.

His eyes glowed with a wild scarlet light, the veins in his neck bulging. Then, with a guttural cry, he fell to his knees in the mud.

"My Xiao Wu… my Wu Ling… my everything…" His broken voice cracked, half drowned in the thunder.

Tang San rushed forward, worry etched across his face. "Brother, come inside, you'll fall ill!"

But Tang Chuan shoved him away violently. "Xiao San, leave me! I don't want anyone here!"

The gathered students finally snapped. Years of frustration spilled out in angry shouts:

"Even if you're the boss, you can't block the door every day!"

"And stop shouting about girls that don't exist! There's no Jingjing here!"

Their voices rose against him like a tide. Tang Chuan's chest heaved, his gaze feral, but before he could explode, Tang San locked his arms around him, dragging him back.

The students dispersed reluctantly, grumbling.

Tang Chuan shook with rage, eyes blazing as he turned on his brother.

"Why? Why do you stop me, Tang San? Are you even my brother anymore?!"

Tang San's voice was low, pained. "Brother, you've changed.

Back in Holy Spirit Village, you weren't like this.

I thought you gave me the Lone Bamboo Spirit Ring to make me suffer, but then I saw you risk your life for the Evergreen Tree Spirit Ring.

I knew then....you did it for me. But now…" He clenched his fists. "Why are you like this?"

The words tore Tang Chuan apart. His knees buckled, his hands gripping the soaked earth. His voice cracked into a scream, raw with anguish.

"Xiao San… you don't understand. You'll never understand!"

His howl rose into the storm.

"AHHHHH! Why?! Why do this to me?!"

The heavens answered with nothing but rain and thunder.

Inside Yuan Longxuan's home, the storm's fury dulled into a distant murmur.

Wu Ling nestled against Xiao Wu's side, still shaken.

"Master… Tang Chuan's eyes were so red. He scared me…"

Xiao Wu gently stroked her disciple's hair. "Don't be afraid, little one.

If you want to know why, you can ask your master-in-law later. He knows things I don't."

Wu Ling bit her lip, sneaking a glance toward the tall figure in the kitchen.

Yuan Longxuan's presence was steady yet heavy, like a mountain pressing down.

"But Master-in-law feels… scary," she whispered.

Xiao Wu smiled softly. "I once thought so too. But in truth, he's the gentlest man alive."

Wu Ling's eyelids drooped, her small body relaxing in Xiao Wu's embrace.

"Master… you're so pretty. No wonder he loves you…"

Her voice faded as sleep claimed her.

Later that night, the house was quiet, save for the whisper of rain against the roof.

Xiao Wu stood at the doorway to the bedroom, her cheeks flushed, heart pounding wildly.

Yuan Longxuan turned as he finished dousing the last candle, the faint glow of moonlight tracing the hard lines of his face.

"Xiao Wu," he said softly, his voice carrying warmth even in its depth.

She hesitated, fingers knotting in the hem of her robe. "Longxuan… I… I want tonight to be different. I want to be with you. Truly."

His gaze softened, and he stepped forward, brushing a damp lock of hair from her cheek.

"Are you certain? It's your first time. I don't want to cause you pain."

Her lips trembled, but she nodded, gripping his sleeve as if afraid he would step away. "I've never been more certain."

Yuan Longxuan smiled in amusement at that, and he then took off his clothes one by one as he walked over to her on the bed.

You really can't wait to become a woman, Xiao Wu?"

When Yuan Longxuan was already standing on the side of her bed, Xiao Wu immediately came out from under the blanket.

She sat on his lap, wrapped her arms around his neck, and spoke with a pout.

Since your women are getting more and more, I'm really impatient to become your woman."

All right, then." Yuan Longxuan immediately kissed Xiao Wu's lips, and his hands held her waist.

Xiao Wu returned his kiss right away.

After she had often done it with Yuan Longxuan, and Erlong had also taught her a lot about kissing, she became increasingly proficient in kissing. "Mhn-"

Since when did Xiao Wu become good at kissing? It seems that Liu Erlong taught her all this.

Yuan Longxuan inwardly muttered as he kissed her passionately, and his hand began to caress every inch of her smooth white skin.
