Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 : A Clash of Titans: Sword vs. Hammer

From upstairs, Yuan Longxuan and Ah Yin watched the spectacle with amusement.

"Yuan Longxuan," Ah Yin asked softly, wrinkling her nose,

"what are they doing? They ate the food, and now they're breaking dishes? That's so rude."

He snorted. "Just a pair of petty clowns. You'd best stay away from thugs like them in the future."

She nodded quickly, her ice-blue eyes filled with disdain. "Mm!"

They hadn't lowered their voices. Everyone nearby could hear their words.....including Tang Hao and Tang Xiao.

Downstairs, the waitress.....Xiao Lan, one of the restaurant's senior staff....handled the situation smoothly.

Yuan Longxuan's voice drifted down from upstairs, calm but absolute:

"Lan-jie, don't bother with them. Forget their bill. .

A hundred gold soul coins won't ruin Juxiang Pavilion. Just put the Clear Sky Sect on the blacklist."

Xiao Lan bowed slightly toward the commotion below. "Yes, Boss."

Turning back, she smiled politely at Tang Hao and Tang Xiao. "Since the owner has spoken, your bill is waived.

Please, take your leave. But in the future, we ask that you not return."

Her words rippled through the crowd.

"The Clear Sky Sect?" someone gasped suddenly. "I remember now...they're the two geniuses of the sect!"

"Right! Tang Hao and Tang Xiao!"

"But so what? The so-called Twin Stars of the Clear Sky Sect can't even behave in public. What geniuses? More like common bullies."

Murmurs spread quickly, and soon the hall was filled with criticism.

The faces of Tang Hao and Tang Xiao turned dark, then pale, then dark again.

From upstairs, Yuan Longxuan merely sipped his tea, eyes gleaming with amusement. In his eyes, even two Contras were no different from ants.

Tang Hao slammed a hand on the table. "Hmph! It's just a hundred gold soul coins! You think I can't pay?"

He pulled out a pouch of coins and shoved it toward Xiao Lan.

But Xiao Lan shook her head firmly. "I'm sorry, sir. The owner has already exempted your payment.

You won't be charged. However, as he said, please don't visit us again in the future."

The rejection struck harder than any insult. Tang Hao's pride was in tatters.

He had only wanted to stir up trouble, to humiliate the boy upstairs and win over the girl.

But now, instead of intimidating anyone, he had become nothing more than a petty rogue...a man who ate without paying.

"No charge? You put us on your blacklist instead?!" he roared, his voice like thunder.

But Xiao Lan stood her ground, her composure unshaken. She was, after all, a Soul Ancestor herself, and more importantly, she was the front hall manager.

"Sir, we are just a small establishment. We cannot withstand the pressure of great powers like the Clear Sky Sect. So if you don't like our dishes, we'll waive your bill. But please don't trouble us again. You said yourself the food was unfit for humans, yet you finished every bite. You refused to pay, but now you insist on paying. Such contradictions make things very difficult for ordinary people like us."

Her words, delivered with politeness yet firmness, struck the brothers harder than any slap.

The hall erupted with hushed laughter and scornful glances.

Upstairs, Yuan Longxuan reclined in his chair, his smile calm and playful. To him, the so-called geniuses of the Clear Sky Sect were nothing but fools dancing in his theater

Xiao Lan spoke carefully yet sharply, pretending to misunderstand while fully aware of what was happening. She was just an ordinary worker, relying on her skill and talent to earn her living. If everyone acted like Tang Hao—yelling, throwing tantrums, and acting recklessly—she would never enjoy her work.

"No! You have to accept this money!" Tang Hao shouted urgently. His pride could be lost, but the reputation of the Hao Tian Sect—reputed as the strongest sect in the world—must not be tarnished.

Ah Yin, standing beside Yuan Longxuan, looked puzzled.

"Fu Ye… I mean Yuan Longxuan, didn't that man just say the food was bad and refuse to pay? Why is he now forcing the lady to take the money?" she whispered.

Yuan Longxuan shrugged. "Maybe he didn't find the money at first. Who knows?"

Their conversation was overheard by other diners, who quickly started snickering among themselves. "Refuses to pay because the food is bad… then forces payment… maybe he just didn't have money at first," some whispered.

Tang Hao and Tang Xiao's faces twisted with embarrassment. As the famed "Twin Elites of Hao Tian Sect," they weren't used to being humiliated publicly.

Before Tang Hao could release his Soul Power, which was at the Soul Fighter level, the young man who had just paid Xiao Lan suddenly radiated a powerful aura, not weaker than Tang Hao's at all.

"I come here often," the young man said, rising slowly. His gaze was like a sharp sword aimed directly at Tang Hao. "I like the food and the prices here. If you don't, you can leave—no one is forcing you. But if you plan to smash this restaurant, I, a loyal customer, will not allow it."

Tang Xiao sensed the overwhelming Soul Power and instinctively stepped in front of his brother. Yuan Longxuan raised an eyebrow, noting the system had just given him the detailed information about this man.

"Swordmaster Chenxin."

Chenxin's Profile:

Age: 60

Status: Only surviving heir of the War Soul Sect, current inheritor of the Seven Kill Sword Soul, formerly the strongest Weapon Soul in the continent

Level: 89

Soul Weapon: Seven Kill Sword

The tension between the two sides was palpable; diners dared not even breathe. Tang Hao's eyes, however, flicked to Yuan Longxuan, who was watching the scene unfold from the second floor. There was a cold glint in Tang Hao's gaze.

"If you want to fight, take it outside. Don't ruin this restaurant's business," Yuan Longxuan said calmly.

Swordmaster Chenxin didn't waste words. He had been idle for a while, and now, meeting two Hao Tian Sect Soul Fighters causing trouble in his favorite restaurant was a perfect opportunity. He had long wanted to reclaim the prestige of the Seven Kill Sword, which had been overshadowed by the Hao Tian Hammer.

"Hmph! I'll leave the money here. I, Tang Hao, am not someone who can't even pay for a meal!" Tang Hao slammed the money on the table. Xiao Lan, however, ignored him. She completed the transaction for Chenxin and moved on with her work.

The other waiters didn't bother with Tang Hao either. They were too busy trying to improve their lives, buying homes, and achieving financial freedom. Besides, stealing or misbehavior would get them immediately fired.

The diners witnessed a comical scene: six or seven waiters on the floor all ignored Tang Hao completely.

"Wow, it's rare to see the Twin Elites of Hao Tian Sect humbled!" someone whispered.

"Twin disasters, more like!" another laughed.
