Daily Life of Vegeta and Bulma - Page 2
Yamcha had shed the restlessness of his youth, replaced by a more mature and steady demeanor. Upon his return, he headed straight to Capsule Corp, claiming he wanted to visit his long-time friend. He brought along several rare mineral samples collected during his travels, hoping to discuss their technological applications with Bulma. Bulma, naturally, welcomed him warmly given their past history. The two of them spent the entire day in the lab, chatting happily and occasionally reminiscing about their old adventures.
All of this was witnessed by Vegeta, who had come to bring Bulma her dinner. Standing at the laboratory door, the insulated lunch box in his hand began to deform slightly under his grip. At that moment, Yamcha laughed and reached out to brush away a stray strand of hair from Bulma's shoulder. Bulma didn't pull away; instead, she said something with a smile that made Yamcha laugh even harder.
Vegeta saw every detail clearly from outside. A faint, flickering aura began to rise around him, causing the laboratory glassware to vibrate with a subtle hum. Suppressing the rising fire of his rage, he pushed the door open impatiently and walked in.
"Bulma, eat," he said, his voice cold enough to freeze someone instantly as he struggled to contain his anger.
Bulma turned around, her eyes lighting up when she saw him. "Vegeta! What are you doing here? I was just discussing these mineral samples with Yamcha. Come take a look, these might actually help improve the gravity chamber devices!" Bulma said excitedly.
Yamcha stood up as well, nodding at Vegeta with a smile. "Long time no see, Vegeta. How have you been? Bulma is still the same as ever—once she starts talking about research, she just can't stop," Yamcha said cheerfully.
However, Vegeta didn't respond to Yamcha. He merely shot him a cold, knife-like glare that seemed to cut through the air. He then placed his hand on the back of Bulma's chair and said with growing impatience and a hint of fury, "Bulma, I told you to eat. Did you not hear me?"
Bulma froze for a moment, finally sensing that something was wrong with his mood. She quickly turned to Yamcha and said apologetically, "I'm so sorry, Yamcha, he's just like this. How about we take a break for dinner and chat again later?"
Yamcha, sensing the tension, nodded understandingly. "Sure, I'll head out first then. I'll drop by again when I have time. Bye!"
"But if I catch him laying a finger on you again, I'll break his limbs. Is that clear?" Vegeta muttered, his voice low and brooding.
Bulma couldn't help but chuckle. "I got it, my Saiyan Prince~" she said dotingly.
