Kin looked at Zavrion with a lost expression.
"I don't know… I couldn't even see his face," he whispered.
Vixen's face turned tense, worry clear in his eyes.
Kenny quickly held Kin's hand and said with a trembling voice,
"Brother Kin, Brother Vixen… I don't want to lose you. I already lost my parents… I lost my boyfriend too. You both are all I have left. Please, I can't lose you."
That night, Kenny's dreams were filled with memories of his lost lover, Megas. He could almost feel his warmth again—his touch, his smile. But suddenly, in the middle of the dream, Megas's face twisted into that same dark shadow. The shadow leaned closer and wrapped its hands tightly around Kenny's neck.
Kenny tried to scream, tried to fight, but no sound came out. His lips moved as he silently began to chant sacred words, praying desperately to the Gods for help.
Meanwhile, Zavrion was awake late into the night, playing his games. He stretched, rubbing his tired eyes.
"It's already 2 a.m. … I should check on Kenny. He must be asleep by now," he thought, smiling to himself. "Maybe I can tease him a little before I sleep."
He shut down his game and walked happily toward Kenny's room. A soft grin tugged at his lips.
But as soon as he knocked, the door creaked open.
Zavrion stepped inside—and shocked.
Right above Kenny's bed, a dark shadow was leaning close to Kenny's face. It looked like it was feeding on him.
Fear clutched Zavrion's chest, but he didn't step back. With all his strength, he released his sacred Enigma pheromone, filling the entire room with its protective force. In a blink, the shadow disappeared into thin air, leaving only the echo of its presence.
Kenny gasped awake, his body shaking violently.
"Kenny!" Zavrion rushed to him, holding his trembling shoulders.
Without thinking, Kenny clung tightly to Zavrion, his fear spilling out through every shiver. His voice was stuck in his throat, tears glimmering in his eyes.
Zavrion gently helped him sit up, gave him water, and rubbed his back.
"It's okay… it's gone now," he whispered. "I'm here."
Kenny still couldn't speak, his fear too deep.
Zavrion brushed his hair softly and said,
"If you want… I can stay with you every night, just to protect you. Don't worry—I promise I won't touch you unless you ask me to. But I'll stay, so you'll never be alone again."
