Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 - Please Stop Glowing

I didn't mean to start a magical epidemic.

But the librarian was glowing now.

And the vending machine.

And for some reason, our microwave.

"This is getting out of hand," I whispered, standing in the middle of the campus library while trying very hard not to scream.

"Yuna," Rikuya said beside me, calm as always, "you need to stop channeling energy when you're emotional."

"I was just trying to check out a book!"

Kael appeared from behind a shelf, holding a glowing history textbook.

"This one's glowing too," he said.

"Not my fault!" I cried.

He flipped the book open. "Actually, this one's reacting to your seal. I think it belonged to the original caster."

I blinked. "You're saying this random old book is connected to a curse prince from another dimension?"

Kael just stared at me.

Rikuya looked away like he knew something.

"Okay." I rubbed my temples. "I need snacks. I think better with snacks."

Back in the dorm, I opened the microwave to reheat some leftovers. It lit up bright blue and sparked.

It was now officially possessed.

I screamed and slammed it shut.

Rikuya peeked in. "You're banned from using kitchen appliances for one week."

"I'm starving!"

"Use the kettle."

"IT'S GLOWING TOO!"

Later that night. Kael dragged in a whiteboard (where he got it, I don't know), and drew three stick figures.

"This is you," he said pointing to a very sad-looking stick girl with sparkles.

"This is the seal," he pointed to a glowing angry blob.

"And this…" He circled a figure with a crown and a frown. "Is the reason Rikuya can't sleep."

I stared. "Are you teaching me magical history with…cartoons?"

"Yes."

I blinked. "I love it."

Rikuya groaned from the couch.

Apparently, the glowing wasn't just random.

Each time I got emotional—or even thought about something connected to the curse—it leaked out. And the curse? It was tied to memories.

My memories.

Not just mine, actually—someone I might've been before.

"I'm not saying reincarnation," Kael muttered.

"I am," Rikuya said grimly.

I choked on my juice.

We spent the rest of the night trying to "stabilize my aura," which mostly involved me holding a glowing stone while Rikuya yelled things like "Focus!" and Kael drew more cartoons.

At one point I laughed too hard and accidentally turned the couch purple.

"Seriously," Rikuya said, rubbing his temples. "One normal day. Just one."

I nodded solemnly. "Tomorrow, I promise."

The next day..

I woke up floating three inches off my bed.

The dorm cat was glowing.

And Kael kicked open the door shouting, "Yuna, someone just got marked on campus—and they don't even go here!"

So… yeah.

About that "normal day."
