Chapter 11 - Being Hokage is Hard Too

"How could this happen?!"

Tsunade's voice suddenly rose, her anger reaching its peak in an instant.

The girl's flushed face spoke volumes.

Anger surged within her with nowhere to vent, Tsunade glanced around and then punched a tree trunk, tearing the tree, which was thick enough for two people to embrace, cleanly in half.

"I clearly told Teacher to be careful!"

"Hmm?" Toki abruptly looked up.

From Tsunade's words, it seemed she had anticipated this? And had even warned Hokage-sama?

Toki's voice brought Tsunade back to her senses; realizing she had just let something slip, she immediately walked out the door.

"Teacher, where are you going?"

"To the Hokage Office. You go take a bath obediently. For dinner... buy something to eat outside."

After giving her instructions, Tsunade left without looking back.

"Hey! Then how... am I supposed to get in?" Toki couldn't hold back. At least carry me into the bathroom before you leave!

"Forget it, I'll do it."

Kushina skillfully carried him on her back and walked towards the bathroom: "Can you manage by yourself?"

Toki assessed his physical condition. If not for the sudden incident at the dango shop, he would have been able to undress and get in by himself, but now...

"I think so," he replied, lacking confidence.

Kushina sighed softly, lowering her head slightly, using her bangs to hide her burning cheeks.

"I'll do it."

"No need, Jushinnai-jie jie, I can do it," Toki immediately refused.

Teacher Tsunade was one thing, after all, she was an elder. But Jushinnai-jie jie was different; she was a girl of the same generation as him, so he had to be careful.

Kushina paused, her voice as faint as a mosquito: "I... have experience..."

"Huh?"

This was the second time Toki had let out an exasperated sound today.

What did she mean, 'had experience'?

Kushina tightly pursed her lips, and it was a long while before she spoke: "When you fainted before... it was always... always me who helped you undress."

Huh?!

Toki's eyes widened abruptly, and he subconsciously retorted: "Wasn't it Teacher Tsunade?"

"Jushinnai-jie jie was boiling herbs, or... doing something else, anyway, she was always busy."

Toki couldn't help but complain: "She did it on purpose, didn't she?"

"Probably..."

Kushina couldn't explain the exact situation, but Tsunade always managed to find enough reasons to convince her.

"Since that's the case, then Jushinnai-jie jie doesn't need to do this anymore. I can manage by myself."

"Actually... I'm already used to it."

After saying this, Kushina couldn't help but cup her cheeks, feeling the heat emanating from her palms.

Teacher Tsunade, you're truly the worst!

Toki's composure completely broke. He finally understood that Tsunade was clearly trying to set him and Kushina up. It was probably because he and Kushina were the only two Uzumaki descendants left in the entire Konoha Village.

Honestly, Toki asked himself, he was by no means a saint; being greedy for money and lustful were basic attributes.

And since he had transmigrated, who wouldn't want to open a harem?

But only after truly transmigrating did he realize that lustful thoughts were predicated on having enough to eat. Moreover, in this world with supernatural powers, only if your strength was strong enough could you silence everyone who wanted to stand on moral high ground and point fingers at you.

Kushina slightly raised her head, only to find Toki in a daze, his face full of 'hesitation', and she immediately became annoyed.

"Stop dawdling! I haven't even said anything, and you're already being so indecisive. Why are you acting like that sissy!"

Kushina gritted her teeth as she finished speaking, then simply gave up thinking and acted directly.

"Hey, hey, hey... wait a minute!"

Toki was willing but powerless, mercilessly pressed to the ground by Kushina, looking instead like a helpless little girl.

When will I finally not have to train until I'm completely exhausted every day!

...

Meanwhile, at the Hokage Building.

Tsunade showed Hiruzen Sarutobi no respect, directly kicking open the door to the Hokage Office.

"Teacher! Can you explain what happened with Sakumo Hatake?"

It had come.

Hiruzen Sarutobi sighed, waving his hand to signal the Anbu who had just appeared to withdraw, while also instructing: "Close the door on your way out."

Tsunade snorted coldly, waiting for the Anbu to exit before continuing to question: "I clearly told you that this matter needed to be kept secret, secret! Why is it now being spread all over the streets?"

Even before she was reborn, Sakumo Hatake had already carried out this failed mission.

But at that time, it was wartime, and no one would hold Sakumo Hatake accountable. Every Ninja in Konoha was working together to overcome the difficulties. Logically speaking, as long as the secrecy of this mission record was maintained, and then Sakumo Hatake was punished privately after the war ended, this matter would have been perfectly resolved.

However, what Tsunade didn't expect was that as soon as the Second Ninja World War showed signs of ending, Sakumo Hatake's matter suddenly leaked, exactly the same as before her rebirth.

How could this not make Tsunade furious!

This was clearly intentional!!

Hiruzen Sarutobi remained silent, merely lighting his pipe and taking a deep puff.

"Hoo—"

"This is my responsibility. I will thoroughly investigate this matter and find out who is behind it."

However, Tsunade didn't fall for it and directly exposed him: "The mission Sakumo Hatake carried out at the time was highly classified. Only a handful of people in the entire Konoha could access that information. I'm afraid that even if you investigate it, Teacher, you wouldn't dare to act."

"You, as Hokage, are probably getting worse and worse!"

Hiruzen Sarutobi narrowed his eyes slightly, raising his hand and slamming it on the table: "How am I getting worse?"

"I've been through so much over these years. Don't just make wild accusations with your eyes open. Being Hokage is hard too."

"Yes, I acted emotionally," the sneer on Tsunade's face became even more pronounced, with a hint of disappointment in her eyes.

"The key now isn't to thoroughly investigate this matter. Even if you find out, what then? Sakumo Hatake's mission information was leaked; he wasn't framed. And..."

Tsunade paused, hesitating whether to speak her next words.

Hiruzen Sarutobi exhaled a puff of white smoke and said: "Go on."

Tsunade took a deep breath, suppressing the various emotions in her heart, and said seriously: "Sakumo abandoned the mission to save his comrades. If this matter is not handled well, it will greatly affect Konoha's Will of Fire, and may even shake the very foundation of Konoha's existence."

"Grandfather's original intention in establishing Konoha was to protect comrades, and the essence of a Ninja's existence is to carry out missions. If Sakumo Hatake's matter could have been kept secret, this contradiction would at least not have been brought into the open. But now... Hmph! The mastermind who publicized it has given you a difficult problem."

"Respected Hokage-sama, take your time thinking about it."

Tsunade snorted coldly and slammed the door shut as she left.
