When the festival was over, three of them returned to Arios's dorm later that evening, they were still riding the mood of the festival. Liza walked in first, balancing the armful of prizes she had won from the game booths, her grin wide as she dumped them across the bed like a pile of treasures.
"See? I told you I was unbeatable. Every single one of those stallkeepers underestimated me." She held up a stuffed fox triumphantly. "This one was supposed to be near impossible, but I nailed it on my second try."
Lucy rolled her eyes and sat down on the floor, folding her arms. "You just got lucky. Anyone could throw a ring onto a bottle if they wasted enough points." She huffed, then added, "And let's not forget who nearly burned her fingers off frying dumplings, but still managed to serve something good enough that people kept coming back for seconds. I'd say my performance today deserved more credit."
