It was a warm evening as Lucy and Liza sat on the floor of Arios's dorm. Liza, ever the pragmatist, had brought a deck of cards. "Alright, let's get this over with," she announced, fanning the cards out with a practiced flick of her wrist. "We're going to play some cards, and we're not going to talk about Professor Vaelian, the student council, or anyone's unfortunate expulsion." She cast a pointed look at Arios.
Lucy, ever the optimist, immediately brightened. "Ooh, cards! What are we playing? Card Go? I'm great at Card Go!"
Liza quickly sighed, "No, Lucy, we're not playing Card Go. We're playing something with a little more strategy. We're playing 'Deception,' a card game I invented myself. The goal is to deceive your opponents into thinking you have a better hand than you do. It's all about bluffing."
"Bluffing?"Lucy said. "But I'm terrible at bluffing. My face always gives it away."
