The grand training hall was silent, every eye was fixed on the center stage as two figures, a professor and a king's marshal, strode forward. Professor Vaelian had done his part, now it was up to the combatants to prove a point. The air, already thick with the nervous energy of the students, seemed to grow heavier with the combined aura of the two duelist.
Instructor Bale, a man of refined and elegant martial arts, bowed his head slightly. "Chief marshal. It is an honor to share the stage with a legend of your caliber," he said, his voice a calm counterpoint to the anticipation in the room.
"The honor is mine, Instructor Bale," Eldrich Lionsheart replied with a simple nod. "I've heard tales of the Reverend Blade of the Elite Academy. Let's see if those tales do you justice."
