In the aftermath of the Threll attack, in the ruins of New York, the Empire State Building has been destroyed, along with other buildings, and the Statue of Liberty is down in the water, but not sinking. The aliens' weapon is closing up as the wind blows. In the Threll mothership, Martin looks down in sadness, thinking her son has been killed in the destruction. Krylla looks at the destruction with Prague.
Krylla: Very impressive. I am well most pleased at this. Prague, prepare the Harvester for descent.
Prague bows.
Prague: As you command, my queen.
In Parker Tower, around the ruins of New York, Donnie, Whitmore and other police officers hand out blankets, food and water bottles to human and Enhuman survivors. In the oceans of New York, Caspian, Keera and Neptune pop their heads out of the ocean and are in shock of the destruction.
Keera: My god....
In the Raven, Quantum, Dragonfly, Sun Sorceress, The Owl, Neon-Ghost, Genesis, Scarlett, Red Dragon, Snake Bite, V.O.X and Mammoth are in the bridge, listening to V.O.X. speak.
The Owl: V.O.X.?
V.O.X: Reports are unclear, but from what I'm hearing, New York, Los Angeles and Washington are left in ruins.
The Supers and Purifiers are all shocked at this as they all look at each other. Sun Sorceress then attempts to contact Neon Crane, Power Surge, Thermo and Phantom.
Sun Sorceress: Trisha? Do you copy? Joseph? Alex? Jessica?
The Owl shakes his head.
The Owl: Nothing.....just static.
Quantum looks down, thinking his team has been killed. Dragonfly touches his shoulder.
Dragonfly: Dad....they might've made it.
Meanwhile, with Air Force One, it's flying in the air, with two F-18's in the air with it. Inside, David covers his face as he sighs. Vickers is with him.
David: All those people....gone....just gone. Mom would've evacuated the cities hours ago. A lot of people died today. Too many people; both human and Enhuman. We were so worried about exterminating the Enhuman threat....now an even bigger threat is here.
In the ruins of Washington D.C., in a destroyed sewer tunnel, Neon Crane, Power Surge, Thermo and Phantom climb out of the destroyed exit door. The four all walk through the destroyed tunnel, and they come to the exit and outside, is the ruins of Washington D.C., everything is destroyed. The four heroes look around in shock and devastation.
Thermo: My god....
Phantom: What the hell happened?
Power Surge: I don't know.
The four heroes look up to see the giant saucer over the ruins of Washington D.C.
Neon Crane: If those things are capable of this, this is a war we might not win.
Suddenly, over their heads, the F-18's counter attack is starting against the saucer over Washington D.C. In Air Force One, David, Hawkins, Blake, Vickers and Lowe are in a control room onboard the plane, as they're about to start the counterattack.
David: Alright, ladies and gentlemen, we're on.
Officer: General Hawkins....
David: Vickers?
Vickers: All satellite, microwave, and ground communications with the cities have been cut off.
David: How about the boys? Where are they?
Hawkins: All systems go. ETA to target, five minutes.
David nods, and they all look at the monitor. Meanwhile, the Raven detects the counter attack in Washington D.C.
Neon-Ghost: John....they're launching a counter attack.
Quantum: What? Do the humans know what they're going up against?!
Genesis: No....they never do.
Dragonfly: V.O.X....give me an image of all the cities.
V.O.X. presents holographs of the destroyed cities of New York, Los Angeles and Washington D.C.
V.O.X.: This is what I'm getting....
The Owl: And the Tower?
V.O.X.: The shields were able to protect the entire building from the blast as well as everyone inside. There were a few people who made it in, before the attack.
Sun Sorceress: My god.....this is insanity....How could Mom do this?
Quantum shakes his head, knowing that a lot of people are dead.
Quantum: I shouldn't have let the kids try to save everyone.....this is all my fault. Goddammit!
Quantum punches the wall of the Raven, before sighing.
Quantum: You were right....all of you.....it's not her.....It's not my wife anymore. It never was.
In Washington D.C., the plane pilots look ahead as they enter a cloud and they exit the cloud. Ahead of them, is the alien ship as it's flying over the ruins of Washington D.C.
F-18 Pilot: Holy shit.
F-18 Captain: This is it, boys. Prepare for combat. Lock and load, boys!
Back in Air Force One, the officers are listening on their headsets.
Officer: Roger that. Washington D.C. attack squadron has missiles locked on target.
Officer: Washington squadrons are reporting lock on.
Hawkins: Fire at will.
Officer: Fire at will. Fire at will.
They all watch the monitor and see the planes approaching the ship. Back with the attack, the planes are now ready.
F-18 Captain: Titans, we are red and free. Titan 1, fox 2.
The F-18 Captain fires his missile.
F-18 Pilot: Titans, Titan 8, Fox 2.
The missiles head straight for the ship ahead. In the control room, they're tracking the missiles, and attacks heading for the ship.
Officer: Missiles have been fired.
The heroes in the Raven are watching the attack as well while in Air Force one, they watch the monitor and see them heading for the ship. On the ground, in the ruins, Neon Crane, Power Surge, Thermo and Phantom watch as they prepare to see the missiles and attacks hit the ship hard, but as they get closer to the ship, something stops the missiles and the attacks. It's a blue light around the hull that stops the missiles and attacks and they explode on impact. In Air Force One and the Raven, they watch as something stops the missiles and attacks.
Neon-Ghost: What the hell?
Dragonfly: Something stopped the missiles from hitting the ship.
Snake-Bite: Are they not getting through?
V.O.X: No, not one.
Scarlett: That's odd.
Back at the attack, the four heroes look at something stopping the attack.
Thermo: It didn't go through.....
Power Surge: Oh, no....
The F-18 Captain decides to do something else.
F-18 Captain: Command, Titan 1. Command, Titan 1. Switching to sidewinders. Closing in.
The F-18 Captain takes six others with him and they all dive down. The planes dive down.
F-18 Pilot on radio: Titan 4, love 40.
The planes are now flying in closer to the ship, flying behind the planes. The planes fire their missiles on the ship again as the other planes also fire too, and they head for the ship. Everyone watches.
F-18 Captain: Titan 1, Love 30.
F-18 Pilot: Come on, damn it. Come on.
Power Surge: Hit! Hit!
The missiles and attacks are once again stopped by the bright blue light, and they explode on impact. Everyone watches as it shines at them.
The Owl: V.O.X, what's happening? Why can't they punch through?
V.O.X: It's some kind of barrier.
Dragonfly: Energy shield....they have a energy shield.
The F-18 pilots realize what it is as they fly towards the ship.
F-18 Captain: It looks like they got some protective shield over their hull.
F-18 Pilot: We're flying towards the shield! We've gotta pull up!
F-18 Captain: Shit! All Titans! Pull up! Pull up!
The pilots all pull up as hard as they can as they barely pull, and are now flying straight towards the ship.
F-18 Captain: Titan 4, pull up!
Titan 4 is still heading for the shield, barely pulling up.
Titan 4: Controls are not responding.
F-18 Captain: Pull up, goddammit!
Everyone watches as Titan 4's plane crashes into the shield and his plane explodes on impact and his screams are heard on the radio before it goes silence.
Power Surge: Damn it....
Neon Crane: Wait....what's that up front in there?
Up ahead, they are now seeing something coming out of the ship from the inside. To their shock, thousands of Threll attacker fighters are coming out of the ship to fight the planse.
F-18 Pilot: Alien attackers, straight ahead!
F-18 Captain: Blow through em! Blow through em!
F-18 Pilot: There's too many of them!
The planes all fly straight towards the attackers and fly through them to avoid getting hit or rammed into them, but one plane crashes into one, and it explodes from crashing. The pilot inside screams as he is incinerated. The Threll attacker he crashed into is protected by a shield too as it spins around. Back in the control room of Air Force One, they see that two planes go down.
Officer: Another one's down, sir.
Everyone watches with frowned looks on their faces. In the Raven, the Supers and Purifiers stare at each other with worry. Back at the battle, the F-18 fighters are being chased as they fire at them. They continue chasing them as they shoot at them. One of the F-18 pilot gets a lock on the attacker and fires a missile at it. As the missile hits them, shields appear around them, protecting, but are knocked aside.
F-18 Pilot: Shit! They got shields, too.
Over the ship, the Threll attackers blast at the F-18 fighters, trying to avoid the blasts. The battle continues as the F-18 fighters losing many fighters.
In the Raven, the Supers watch the battle.
Quantum: They're losing planes fast.
Genesis: Damn it. Why can't the humans take a hint that their weapons won't work?
On the ground, Neon Crane, Power Surge, Thermo and Phantom watch the battle.
Power Surge: They're losing planes fast.
Neon Crane: No kidding, Joseph. They're all getting killed out there.
Phantom: We've gotta do something, you guys.
Neon Crane: But how? Their shields are protecting them from our attacks with these damn strong defenses.
Back at the control room, everyone is watching the planes losing the fight and a lot of planes are going offline.
Officer: They got another one sir. Five more just went down. They're dropping bad.
Officer: We're losing them.
Hawkins: Mr. President, we're going lose all of them if we don't get them out of there.
David: God, I can't watch this anymore. Pull them out.
Officer: Alright. Squadron leaders retreat to fall back positions. Abort mission. I say again; abort mission.
In the Raven, The Owl hacks into Air Force One's control room coms.
The Owl: David's calling for a retreat.
Quantum: It's a smart choice.
Red Dragon: Is it?
Genesis: Yes, it is.....
Back at the battle, more planes are going down. On the ground, Thermo shakes his head.
Thermo: I can't watch this anymore. I'm not going to sit here and watch these men die.
Thermo walks off as Power Surge, Neon Crane and Phantom.
Phantom: Alex, what are you doing?
Thermo: Evening the odds. Missiles can't get through those shields, but maybe super powers can!
Thermo bursts into his flame form and flies up to the battle.
F-18 Pilot: Sir, you seeing this? It's an Enhuman!
F-18 Captain: What the?
Switching into his ice form, Thermo shoots a ice beam at a Threll fighter, causing it to freeze and crash into the ruins. Thermo laughs.
Thermo: Hell yeah!
On the ground, Power Surge, Neon Crane and Phantom cheer on.
Phantom: Yes!
Power Surge: Nice, Alex!
Switching between his flame and ice form, Thermo manages to take down a few fighters with his ice powers, freezing the fighter with the pilot still alive inside. In the control room, the White House staff sees Threll fighters going down.
Officer: Sir, they got one.
David: What?
Officer: They got one.
Vickers: How?
Officer: It wasn't one of ours.
Officer: Sir, there's an Enhuman in the battle.
Blake: What?!
In the Threll mothership, Prague turns to Krylla.
Prague: My Queen, the humans have got destroyed one of the Threll fighters in Washington, D.C.
Krylla: What?!
Braka: How is that possible?!
Prague: The humans' weapons can't penetrate our fighters!
Krylla: Their weapons can't....but Enhumans powers can.
Prague: The Supers.....
Braka: If they're alive then so are the Purifiers....
Martin: You're going to lose.
Krylla looks back and growls at Martin. In the Raven, V.O.X speaks.
V.O.X.: Master Parker, I'm detecting an Enhuman signature in the battle.
Sun Sorceress: What? Who?
V.O.X.: It is Master Miller!
Quantum gives a sigh of relief.
Quantum: Thank God.
Dragonfly: They're alive! They freaking made it!
Neon-Ghost: What about Trisha?
V.O.X.: I'm detecting three more Enhuman signatures on the ground.
Arachnica: It's gotta be Joseph, Trisha and Jessica!
Scarlett: What about Monger and Bloodlust?
V.O.X: I'm not detecting them...
Quantum looks at Genesis, who looks down in sadness.
Genesis: They didn't make it.
Sun Sorceress: V.O.X, can you communicate with them?
V.O.X: Their coms are still down. I can try.
In the battle, Thermo continues fighting and blasting Threll fighters, at one point, flipping over two Threll fighters, causing them to crash into each other. On the ground, Quantum contacts Power Surge, Neon Crane and Phantom.
Quantum: Josh! Trisha, can you hear me?!
Power Surge: John! Yeah, we hear you! We made it!
Neon Crane: We're looking at the fighter fight right now. These guys are losing badly.
Phantom: Shit, they just lost two more planes.
Quantum: Guys, you need get out of there right now.
Neon Crane: What?!
Power Surge: But we have to help these guys!
Quantum: Get the hell out of there now!
Thermo: Screw that! I'm not letting these men die!
Power Surge sighs.
Power Surge: Alex, John's right. We have to abort.
Thero: But we can't just let them die.
Phantom: He's right, Joseph. We can't....
Neon Crane: Alex, listen to John here. David's already given the retreat order!
Thermo shakes his head.
Thermo: Damn it!
In his flame form, Thermo flies down to get away, but an attacker flies after him.
Power Surge: Alex, you got one behind you!
Thermo: I see him!
Thermo flies down the ruins as the attacker blasts at him, trying to get him, but they miss. Thermo flies away, and heads into the ruins.
Phantom: Alex!
Back at the control room, the officers are trying to contact the planes to get them to retreat, more planes go offline.
Officer: All planes, retreat! Abort mission!
Officer: F-18 Leader, do you read?!
David: Goddammit, can't you make this go faster! Get em out of there!
Officer: I'm trying, sir!
Everyone then sees the monitor is going crazy as it goes static.
Lowe: Whoa, whoa, whoa, what happened?! Where's the picture?
Officer: We've lost the satellite.
Hawkins: Well, fix it, goddammit!
Officer: Sir, we're trying, but it's not working.
Everyone looks in silence, and David sighs. In the Raven, V.O.X detects nearby Threll fighters.
V.O.X: Master Parker. Master McGregor. We have incoming.
Quantum: What?
V.O.X: I'm detecting two incoming aircrafts on our position.
Dragonfly: Is it two F-18's?
The Owl: V.O.X?
V.O.X turns to the Owl.
V.O.X: No....
In Air Force One, in the control room, the incoming bogeys are detected.
Officer: Sir....we have incoming.
Suddenly, two Threll fighters appear, taking out the two F-18 fighters protecting it, before taking out the engines of Air Force One, causing it go down.
Air Force One Pilot: We're going down! I repeat Air Force One is going down!
The Owl: Shit!
Sun Sorceress: Oh, my god!
Quantum: James with me! V.O.X.! Open the hatch!
V.O.X: On it!
V.O.X. opens the hatch as Dragonfly and Quantum jump out. The two then fly down and attempt to catch up with descending Air Force One. Suddenly, the Threll fighters are on their tail, firing at them.
Quantum: Damn it!
Dragonfly: We don't have time to take them on....
Genesis sighs as the Threll fighters continue firing at Quantum and Dragonfly.
Dragonfly: They're getting closer! Dad!
As the moment seems bleak, Genesis suddenly appears and takes out one of the Threll fighters, drawing the attention of the other one.
Genesis: Go! I got this!
Quantum: Charles, descend right below Air Force One!
The Owl: You got it!
The Owl and V.O.X take the Raven right below the falling Air Force One. The Threll fighter chase Genesis while Quantum and Dragonfly reach Air Force One, breaking into the plane.
Quantum: David! Mr. President!
David manages to reach Quantum's hand, before grabbing his hand.
Quantum: First off; let me apologize for what I'm about to do.
David: For what?
Quantum then tosses David into the air as he falls, but then Dragonfly grabs and tosses David, who is then caught by a web shot by Arachnica and pulled towards Mammoth in the Raven and set down.
David: What the hell?!
Mammoth: You're welcome, Mr. President.
In the ruins of Washington D.C, Thermo continues to fly around the destroyed buildings while being chased by a Threll fighter.
Thermo: Damn it! These things won't quit!
Power Surge, Neon Crane and Phantom attempt to locate Thermo and the Threll fighter. At Air Force One, Quantum and Dragonfly do the same evacuating procedure with Hawkins, Blake, Lowe and most of the surviving White House Staff.
Lowe: Damn! You people could've been a little more gentle!
In the Raven, V.O.X turns to the Owl.
V.O.X: Master McGregor, the plane's going to blow!
The Owl contacts Quantum.
The Owl: John! Air Force One's going to blow!
Quantum: Got it!
Quantum prepares to exit, until he hears a voice from inside the plane.
Vickers: Hey! Help! Help me! Please! Don't leave me to die!
Quantum: Damn it!
Quantum then reaches his hand out to Vickers.
Quantum: Come on! Take my hand! Reach! Reach!
Vickers attempts to reach up to Quantum, struggling.
Vickers: I can't! Please! I can't!
Suddenly, Air Force One explodes, killing Vickers and blows Quantum into the sky.
Dragonfly: Dad!
Dragonfly flies down and manages to grab Quantum.
Dragonfly: Dad, you okay?!
Quantum sighs, then shakes his head as he looks down at the crashing Air Force One.
Quantum: There was one more....I could've....I could've saved him.
Back in Washington D.C., Thermo flies down through the ruins, with the Threll attacker behind him.
Thermo: Come get me, sucker!
The Threll attacker blasts at Thermo, trying to him, but keeps missing. The attacker continues chasing Thermo, but keep missing their shots.
Power Surge: Alex! Get that thing down low!
Thermo: Got it!
Thermo flies low, then switches to his ice form and covers the entire Threll fighter with ice, blocking the alien's view inside.
Thermo: All yours, Joseph!
Power Surge shoots electricity at the Threll fighter, before Phantom uses her invisibility powers to crash the Threll fighter into several buildings. Thermo lands on the ground safely, before Neon Crane, Power Surge and Phantom rush up to him. The four heroes then see the attacker on the ground, crashed.
Thermo: Son of a bitch.
Power Surge: You got him, Alex. You got him.
Phantom: Did we?
Neon Crane: Well, let's see.
The four heroes reach it, and climb on the fighter, looking for the hatch on it. Phantom and Neon Crane then find the hatch and they open it as steam and smoke come out of the hatch, then sees tentacles. Then, a huge Threll creature comes out of the smoke, screeching at them. Thermo and Power Surge then share a look, before the two glare at the Threll, then Thermo activates his fire fist and Power Surge uses his electricity fist. The two heroes then lean down and punch it hard in the face, the combined punch knocking the Threll creature cold.
Thermo: Welcome to Earth, bitch.
Power Surge: Hope you enjoy your stay.
Neon Crane: Nice punch, guys.
The four heroes sit down, and relax, then all look down in the smoke.
Thermo: You know; if we live through this, we need raises.
Neon Crane: I know that's right.
Phantom: You said it.
Power Surge: Seriously. We don't get paid enough for this shit.
Phantom looks back at the knocked-out alien.
Phantom: So, which one of you boys is going to carry the alien?
