As we exited the dilapidated fort and I looked upon the canyon of dead vines a pang of saddness washed over me but a comforting squeeze of my hand by Kana brought a smile to my lips as we continued our exit.
The suns were now well past their zenith as we entered early evening. So plenty of day light left to make some progress back towards the plains could be made. As we walked a thought suddenly struck me. "Oh shit I forgot to ask did we pick anything up from those two goons that attacked you?"
Looking back at the two girls I could see Amanda trying to hold back a laugh as Kana had a look of sudden realisation. "Ohhh nooo I completely forgot to check them! Wait here I'll be right back!" And before anyone could say anything Kana dashed back towards the fort, thankfully we had only just exited the valley entrance at this point.
