"Uh, we've been fighting for quite a while. I'm getting hungry—how about we wrap this up quickly and go grab something to eat?" Choji suggested. Fighting wasn't really his thing; he'd rather spend that time eating.
"What if we decide it with one final move?" Gan Jui eagerly proposed. "I just so happened to learn a powerful new jutsu shortly before coming to the Chunin Exams. I haven't used it in battle yet, but today seems like the perfect opportunity to test its strength."
"Sure," Choji agreed, taking his battle stance as chakra began flowing out from within his body.
Earth Release: Rock Golem Goren
Gan Jui took a deep breath, his chakra surging intensely through his body. Slowly, a small colossus made entirely of rock began forming beneath his feet.
As Gan Jui's chakra stabilized, the rocky figure had already grown over five meters tall. Covered entirely in solid stone, it looked incredibly sturdy and strong.
"This is my current limit—I still can't match my teacher's level—but this should be enough, right?!" Gan Jui said, panting heavily from the chakra strain. Yet his eyes sparkled with excitement. This was a secret technique passed down by the Tsuchikage of Iwagakure. Although he could only produce a downsized version of the Rock Giant, in his mind, it was more than sufficient to deal with Choji.
"Wanna play big or bigger?" Choji said seriously, as large amounts of fat on his body began converting into chakra, causing his frame to rapidly swell outward.
[Super Expansion Jutsu!]
Using the basic Expansion Technique alone would only allow Choji to grow to about three meters tall. However, even when his chakra supply became insufficient, his expansion didn't stop—it kept going, growing further.
"Just keep expanding!"
With a loud roar, Choji's form exploded in size. In an instant, he transformed into a giant nearly two to three times larger than the Rock Giant.
At this point, the spectators were completely speechless. None of them had ever seen a Chunin Exam match end like this—a battle of pure scale! No blood, no bruises, and suddenly everything hinged on who could get bigger. Something you'd never expect to see at the Chunin Exams!
Unfortunately for Hayate Gekko, he was having quite a hard time. The battlefield was practically overrun by these giants, leaving him, the chief examiner, with hardly any space to stand.

Hayate Gekko burst into a fit of violent coughing like his lungs were about to pop out any second. He had originally been hiding quietly in a corner, enjoying the fresh air and nice weather. But now, the enormous size of these two fighters had destroyed that peace. Their battle caused tremendous damage to the surroundings, sending dust flying everywhere—including straight toward Hayate. Already suffering from coughing, Hayate's lungs felt even worse now.
"Can't you two hurry up and finish this already? At this rate, you're going to destroy the entire arena!" Ino shouted angrily from the spectator stands while covering her mouth and nose.
"Kakashi-sensei, could you stop reading that damn little orange book for just one minute?"
Seeing Kakashi calmly reading Make Out Paradise off to the side infuriated Sakura so much she wanted to smash him with a hammer. "Hurry up and use Wind Release to blow all this dust away! Cough, cough."
"Erm... Wind Release isn't really my strong suit," Kakashi chuckled sheepishly. Wind was actually his weakest attribute—he hardly ever used it.
"If not your strong suit, then make it your strong suit! I'm not asking you to fight, just blow the dust away!"
Murderous intent radiated from Sakura's eyes, clearly promising Kakashi would regret it if he refused.
"Fine, fine..." Kakashi gave an awkward chuckle, carefully tucking away his Make Out Paradise before starting to use Wind Release to blow the drifting dust skyward.
"You two down there—if you keep fooling around any longer, do you seriously think I won't rip you apart?!"
With more and more debris flying around—now even small rocks started pelting the stands—Sakura furiously drew her blade and slashed at the nearby railing. The overwhelming murderous aura radiating from her sent everyone nearby scattering in fear.
"Uh... I forfeit."
Caught off guard by the commotion, Gan Jui—who was already at a disadvantage—flinched. Just a moment's hesitation was all it took for Choji to slam the stone golem into the ground, shattering it into rubble. Coming back to his senses, seeing Sakura atop the stand holding her sword, oozing black killing intent, he quickly chose to quit. Deep down, he had a feeling—refusing to give up could end very badly.
"The winner is Choji Akimichi from Konoha."
After announcing the result, Hayate immediately ran up to the stands while covering his mouth and coughing continuously.
"Huh? Did I win?" Choji seemed somewhat stunned. But in the next second, he caught sight of the bloodthirsty glances coming from Sakura and others. He shuddered violently and quickly shrunk back to his usual size.
"Haku, Bandage," Sakura said darkly, addressing Haku and Zabuza, "don't you remember that inhaling dust can damage your lungs?"
"Considering how much dust you inhaled from Iwagakure, don't you think it's time to drag him back and have his lungs cleaned properly?"
"No problem!" Zabuza gritted his teeth as he replied. He and Haku had been waiting at the hallway entrance ready to rescue anyone when suddenly a cloud of dust came roaring down the corridor, nearly burying both of them alive. Naturally, he bore no goodwill toward whoever caused this mess.
"Don't be so upset. We're medical staff—we should be kind and gentle to others."
Haku smiled gently—as if unaware of the blood-soaked battlefield behind her.
Once the dust had cleared from the battlefield, Haku and Zabuza finally stepped inside. The moment they entered, Zabuza strode straight toward Gan Jui, yanked out a thick hemp rope, and tied him up in seconds.
