Chapter 60 - Chapter 60

"My name is Naruto Uzumaki. I enjoy hanging out with Sakura and my friends. My dream is to become the Hokage."

Naruto smiled brightly, but the group of students below weren't nearly as friendly.

"Pfft, like he could ever be Hokage?"

"A demon fox talking such big talk!"

"Why did the Third allow this demon fox to be in our class?!"

The atmosphere in the classroom instantly changed, as everyone started attacking Naruto.

"Are you done talking yet?" Sakura suddenly slammed her hand on a desk and stood up. "If you're finished, then shut up! If you don't have the courage to get up here and announce your dreams, don't sit there badmouthing others. And from now on, if I hear anyone calling Naruto a demon fox again, don't expect me to be nice!"

"She's right! If anyone dares bully Naruto, don't blame us for bullying you back!"

Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, Hinata, Shino, Kiba, and even Sasuke—seven of them stood up together, immediately silencing the entire classroom. With all of them coming from prestigious families, their classmates definitely couldn't afford to provoke them.

Chapter 53: The Nine Truancy Experts

Since Sakura and the others had begun supporting Naruto, none of their classmates dared spread rumors anymore. For his part, Iruka felt relieved about the situation. Long before school started, the Third had spoken with him about Naruto. Originally, Iruka had shared the same resentment toward Naruto as other villagers, but after guidance from the Third, those feelings had greatly diminished.

Life at the Ninja Academy was painfully boring. Every day consisted mostly of history and math lessons. For Sakura and her few friends who were completely devoted to training, these knowledge-based classes were genuinely difficult to endure. Helplessly, they could only seek alternative solutions.

"Where are those girls?!"

Iruka stared at the nine empty seats in the classroom, his face darkening like a pot bottom. How many times has this happened now? It would've been one thing if just one or two skipped class, but nine people skipping together? Are you kidding me!

"No idea!" The students below envied Sakura's group for having the guts to play hooky. They themselves just didn't dare pull that kind of stunt—they'd worked way too hard to get into the Academy only to get kicked out, and their parents would probably murder them if they did.

"Let's begin class anyway!"

Taking a deep breath, Iruka suppressed his anger. He was still responsible for these students, and once class ended, he'd go track down those troublemakers.

Meanwhile, the very people Iruka couldn't stop thinking about were currently training hard at the training grounds.

"Sakura, what exactly are you doing?!"

Kakashi raised an eyebrow when he saw Sakura pulling out paper and a pen from her Ninja Tool Pouch and dashing to a corner to scribble something after finishing her chakra training.

"Writing a book!" Sakura replied without looking up. "I plan to publish some books about Konoha's history, spreading the heroic deeds of Konoha throughout the entire shinobi world!"

"A history book?!" Kakashi's forehead displayed several question marks. Weren't Sakura and the others skipping history class precisely because they hated it?

Why was she writing a history book now?

"It's not exactly a history book," Sakura explained, her eyes gleaming with determination as if engaging in something sacred. "I'm mainly documenting events that happened in Konoha's history, recording the deeds of Konoha heroes so people won't forget them. That's what I want to do!"

Sakura lifted her head, an almost divine glow surrounding her. That determined expression on her face made it seem like she was undertaking something profoundly noble—but was that really the case?

In the Konoha Ninja Academy, there was a teacher named Yamada who taught history to new students. Mr. Yamada was quite a decent instructor—friendly and professional—and overall a pretty good teacher. But he had one unique trait: he was an extremely devoted fan of the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju. In fact, he was one of those hardcore fans who mentioned the great Hashirama Senju at least eight out of every ten sentences during class. According to Yamada's descriptions, Hashirama Senju practically sounded like an all-powerful deity.

Well, how should one put it? All the other students admired the stories about the First Hokage, except Sakura, who could barely take it anymore. She knew too well that Hashirama Senju actually had a mischievous, golden-retriever kind of personality—always friendly but sometimes clueless. She acknowledged his strength—there was no doubt that Hashirama Senju was indeed unbeatable—but could that lovable klutz really match up to the wise and mighty First Hokage Yamada always described?

Eventually, unable to stand it anymore, Sakura decided to get back at Hashirama Senju by writing a book. After all, from her past life, she remembered how powerful literary works could be—they could last through generations, and specific details within these books could continuously spark discussions. Say it enough times, and people will start believing it as truth.

Take the story of Wu Dalang for instance. Historically, Wu Dalang did exist—he was originally named Wu Zhi, a county magistrate during the Ming Dynasty—and he and his wife Pan Jinlian were actually a loving couple. But because of that novel *Water Margin* (a famous Chinese classic about outlaws), they've been misunderstood for centuries. This clearly illustrated how powerful stories can shape how people see history.

Of course, Sakura's book wasn't entirely false; most of the events recorded in it were true. She had only subtly directed the readers' emotions.

"By the way, Kakashi-sensei, there's something I'd like you to help me with!" Sakura suddenly looked up, smiling sweetly at Kakashi. "My novel needs some illustrations. The others are manageable, but I'll need you to provide photos related to Obito Uchiha."

"Huh? What does Obito have to do with this?" For some reason, Kakashi suddenly had a bad feeling about this.

"Obito Uchiha was a hero too, you know. Especially the way he sacrificed himself for his comrades. And those words of his—those who break the Ninja World's rules and sacred laws are called trash. But those who don't value their comrades aren't even worthy of the word 'trash.'"

Sakura murmured hoarsely, repeating Obito's old words. She then turned to Kakashi and asked sharply, "Don't you want more people to know what Obito Uchiha did? Don't you want them to accept his Ninja Way?!"
