Hearing her voice, Ye Chen followed her inside. She had clearly just woken up, wearing a loose pink nightgown that lightly covered her fair skin.

As he entered, a subtle, unique fragrance filled the air, making him involuntarily take a deep breath.

That was Yun Yun's personal scent...familiar, comforting, yet somehow stirring.

Ye Chen quietly studied his teacher as she moved gracefully. The nightgown shifted slightly, emphasizing the elegance of her neck.

A pure amber necklace rested against her skin, gleaming softly.

Trying to remain composed, Ye Chen found a seat, lowered his head, and folded his legs, presenting himself in a respectful manner.

But… why do I feel my mind acting so strangely after awakening the Dragon-Elephant Physique? he thought, secretly cursing himself.

This is my teacher! How could I think such things?

"Ye Chen, you haven't answered me yet. Why are you here?" Yun Yun asked as she placed a plate of pastries on the table.

"You haven't had breakfast? Try some Osmanthus Cake; I made it myself," she added.

"Uh… thank you, Teacher," Ye Chen replied, picking up a piece.

He chewed slowly, trying to calm the sudden racing of his heart before daring to look up.

"Teacher… do you happen to have any Demon Cores?" he asked cautiously.

"Demon Cores?" Yun Yun raised an eyebrow. She slowly sat across from him, and the movement caused her nightgown to loosen slightly.

Ye Chen's eyes darted instinctively...and quickly looked down. Cannot look… must not look…

"I… I need them for Brother Liu to refine some pills. We're short a few Demon Cores," Ye Chen explained.

The Brother Liu he referred to was Liu Ling, a direct disciple of the Pill King, Gu He.

Yun Yun nodded, retrieving several Demon Cores from her storage ring and placing them carefully on the table.

"These are all I have with me. Will that be enough?"

"They're plenty," Ye Chen assured her.

Examining the cores, he noticed most were third or fourth-tier, with even a few fifth-tier Demon Cores.

This was more than enough for his purposes.

"I'll take my leave, then," he said, glancing at the pastries.

"Why rush? Eat a little more. I can't finish them all anyway," Yun Yun said, handing him another piece.

As she moved, the neckline of her nightgown opened slightly further.

"Uh… thanks, Teacher," Ye Chen said, his scalp tingling as he quickly averted his gaze.

His eyes then landed on a wall portrait of Yun Yun, painted with extraordinary skill. It was so lifelike that it almost seemed to breathe.

"Teacher, who painted this portrait?" he asked.

"Oh, that? It's by Hua Ling, a famous painter from the Imperial Capital," Yun Yun replied casually.

After a moment of hesitation, Ye Chen said softly, "Teacher… may I take this painting with me?"

"You want this painting for what?" Yun Yun asked, clearly surprised.

"I realized I haven't been able to focus on cultivation lately.

I think it's because I lack the guidance of my teacher nearby. If I could hang this painting by my side, it would be as if you were always here, helping me concentrate," Ye Chen explained earnestly.

"I see…" Yun Yun's eyes softened as she looked at him. She hadn't realized she held such importance in Ye Chen's heart. A gentle smile appeared on her lips.

"Since you understand your own shortcomings… take it with you," she said.

"Thank you, Teacher," Ye Chen replied, carefully removing the portrait from the wall and storing it in his miniature world inside the Qian-Kun Treasure Box.

"Teacher, I'll take my leave now," he said. As he turned to depart, he inadvertently glanced too long at Yun Yun, panicked, and quickly averted his gaze, leaving the room in a flustered rush.

"Ye Chen… always so flustered," Yun Yun muttered, shaking her head as she closed the door behind him.

Back in his room, Ye Chen exhaled, calming his racing heart. He pulled out the Demon Cores and the portrait he had just obtained.

With the teacher watching over me....even if only through this painting....I can finally focus on cultivation, he thought.

He hung the portrait by his bed, admiring it briefly before turning his attention to the Demon Cores.

After a moment of hesitation, he picked up a third-tier Demon Core. He hadn't asked for it to refine pills.

With Nalan Yanran complicating his life, there was no way he would waste time with old recipes.

At my current cultivation level, a third-tier Demon Core is more than enough, he thought.

Seated comfortably, he held the core between his palms and began cultivating the Yuan-Swallowing Art.

Demon Cores contained immense, volatile energy.....so powerful that even a Dou Wang would hesitate to absorb it forcibly.

But the Yuan-Swallowing Art, a top-tier Heaven-Stage technique, allowed him to devour the core safely.

As he activated the art, a devouring force emanated from his palms, engulfing the Demon Core.

Pure energy streamed into his body. Ye Chen kept his breath steady, greedily absorbing every bit of power.

This… this will accelerate my cultivation by leaps and bounds, he thought, a satisfied smile crossing his face.
