Chapter 5 - Helping Might Guy out of trouble, Uchiha Mikoto

The morning sun cast its golden rays upon the streets of Konoha Village, bathing the entire Village in a radiant glow.

Uchiha Akira stood at the entrance of the Police Force headquarters, adjusted his uniform, and then stepped into the office.

"Akira-kun, you're in charge of patrolling the East District today."

Captain Uchiha Tekka said without looking up, handing him a mission scroll.

"Understood."

Akira took the scroll and opened it to read.

These were the Police Force guidelines formulated yesterday by the elders of the Uchiha Clan.

The most striking part was the title of the guidelines.

"Let Law Enforcement Have Warmth."

Uchiha Akira smiled; he knew that those old Uchiha fellows had actually listened.

After all, the Uchiha of today were not the Uchiha who would later be ostracized and relocated to the Village outskirts.

These old fellows still felt a strong sense of belonging to Konoha.

Otherwise, when Uchiha Madara left back then, they would have followed Madara long ago.

Uchiha Akira quickly tidied up and turned to leave the office.

The East District was a relatively prosperous area of Konoha Village, with numerous shops and dense crowds.

Akira walked down the street with two team members, his gaze sweeping around, ensuring everything was in order.

However, not long into their patrol, a commotion erupted ahead.

"What's going on?"

Akira frowned slightly and quickly walked towards the source of the noise.

He saw two drunken Ninja stumbling along the center of the street, still clutching their liquor bottles and muttering curses.

The surrounding villagers quickly avoided them, their faces filled with disgust and helplessness.

"Hey! You two!"

Akira stepped forward, his voice stern.

"This is a public area; no public intoxication or disturbances!"

The two drunkards turned their heads, squinting at Akira, then sneered.

"Oh, isn't this the Uchiha Police Force? What, you're even going to manage us drinking?"

Akira ignored their provocation and directly told the team members behind him.

"Take them back to sober up and deal with them according to Village rules."

"Yes, sir!"

Two team members stepped forward, each grabbing a drunkard by an arm.

"Let go of me! Why are you Uchiha arresting people?!"

The drunkard struggled and shouted.

Akira gave him a cold glance.

"Because you violated the rules against public intoxication and disturbance. Take them away."

Upon seeing this, the surrounding villagers showed surprised expressions.

In the past, the Uchiha Police Force, while strict in enforcement, often had an arrogant attitude, even resorting to crude, direct action.

However, Akira's handling of the situation today appeared fair and restrained.

It made people look at him a few more times.

After dealing with the drunkards, Akira continued his patrol.

As he walked near a general store, he heard another noisy argument.

"You useless Genin, you can't even afford this much money, and you still dare to come buy things?"

The shop owner's voice was sharp and grating.

"I'm sorry, I left in too much of a hurry today and forgot to bring money… I'll definitely pay you back tomorrow!"

A familiar voice came, pleading in tone.

Akira looked in the direction of the voice and found that the person surrounded was none other than Maito Dai.

He was wearing his characteristic green jumpsuit, his face filled with embarrassment.

There were also several villagers and Ninja around, pointing fingers at him and saying unpleasant things.

"He's still a Genin at such an old age, how embarrassing!"

"I heard he only knows Taijutsu and can't even use a decent Ninjutsu, no wonder he's been a Genin his whole life."

"This kind of trash, he might as well retire early…"

"..."

Maito Dai lowered his head, his fists clenched, but he did not retort.

Akira's eyes, from a distance, grew cold.

Did his being a Genin affect your family's rice supply?

Why the incessant babbling? Are you all babbling machines?

Akira strode over.

"What's going on?"

He asked in a deep voice.

The shop owner, seeing the Police Force arrive, immediately changed his demeanor.

"Sir, this fellow bought things and didn't pay, and now he's trying to welch on the debt!"

Akira glanced at Maito Dai, who quickly waved his hands.

"No, I just forgot my money!"

Akira didn't say much; he simply took money from his pocket and handed it to the owner.

"I'll pay his bill. Is that enough?"

The owner was stunned for a moment, then chuckled after taking the money.

"Enough, more than enough!"

Akira ignored him and turned to the people around him.

"Genin, Chunin, Jonin are all Ninja of Konoha.

Ninja each perform their duties; there is no distinction of high or low, noble or humble.

Although he is a Genin, he has performed countless missions for the Village, and his contributions should not be underestimated.

If even comrades are mocked, what fire will can we speak of?"

His voice was not loud, but it resonated with conviction.

The surrounding crowd immediately fell silent, and those who had just been sneering bowed their heads in shame, not daring to meet his gaze.

Maito Dai looked up, so moved he was almost in tears.

"Thank you, Akira-kun."

Akira saw that his nose was about to run, and quickly stepped back two paces.

"You're welcome. Just remember to bring money next time."

Maito Dai nodded heavily.

"I will definitely pay you back!"

"Don't worry about it. If you want to pay back, just hand it over to the Police Force."

Akira shook his head, then turned and left.

The surrounding villagers watched his retreating figure and whispered among themselves.

"I never thought someone from the Uchiha would help others out of a bind…"

"What he just said made a lot of sense."

"It seems the Uchiha aren't all arrogant fellows after all…"

"..."

Akira paid no attention to these discussions and continued his patrol duties.

However, he didn't notice.

In a nearby Maruko Shop, a golden figure was quietly observing him.

Tsunade held a skewer of maruko, and curiosity and admiration flickered in her bright brown eyes.

She had only stopped for a bite before heading out for a mission, but she unexpectedly witnessed the scene just now.

"Uchiha Akira…"

She murmured the name, the corners of her mouth turning up slightly.

"What an interesting fellow."

She bit into a maruko, her gaze still fixed on Akira's retreating back.

This Uchiha youth had, time and again, shattered her preconceived notions about the Uchiha.

His words and actions, even more than many teachers' so-called "fire will" inheritors, resembled those of a true Ninja.

"Perhaps he really is different from the other Uchiha…"

Tsunade thought to herself.

Uchiha Akira continued his patrol, casually helping villagers push carts.

"Akira Ge!"

A clear voice rang out.

Uchiha Akira turned to look.

The person wore the Uchiha Clan attire.

The person's features were delicate and soft, gentle and elegant.

Her long, raven hair reached her waist, smooth as silk, loosely tied at the back of her head with a dark purple hair tie.

Two wisps of fine bangs fell across her forehead, adding a touch of softness.

Her pupils were as deep as ink, and the corners of her eyes subtly upturned.

Her eyes curved into crescent moons, her face serene.

"Mikoto, why are you here? Don't you have a mission today?"

The person was Uchiha Mikoto.

"Hmm, my teacher said we have the day off today, so I came here to buy some groceries!"

Hearing "buy groceries," Uchiha Akira's eyes lit up.

He walked up to her.

"Mikoto is cooking again today?"

Uchiha Mikoto looked at Akira and said earnestly.

"Yes, Akira Ge, remember to come over at noon… I'll make you sushi!~"

"What a good girl!"

Uchiha Akira looked at the young girl in front of him, raised his hand to her head, and stroked her soft hair.

"Whoever marries you, ah, will surely be blessed in the future!"

Uchiha Mikoto's face flushed, but she did not reject Akira's action.

Uchiha Akira gazed at the delectable young girl before him.

He couldn't help but feel a touch of emotion.

Thinking about how Uchiha Mikoto in the Hokage series was gentle, virtuous, understanding, and graceful…

A typical good wife and wise mother type.

Such a person, in the end, met the fate of being killed by her own son!

Akira couldn't help but feel regret.

Mikoto, you wouldn't want to be killed by your own son in the future, would you?

Since I've transmigrated, let me change your destiny!

[Triggered Mission: Intercept Uchiha Mikoto.]

[Mission Reward: A random Mangekyo Sharingan Dojutsu.]

Hmm?

Mangekyo Dojutsu?!
