Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 – The Circle Beyond Mortality

Veyron, under the watchful gaze of the Union, glanced briefly in their direction before redirecting his focus to completing the third tutorial. His eyes were sharp, his thoughts unwavering.

"If the Union's headquarters are here, then they might show up during the tournament… and cause chaos," he muttered to himself with a warm smile—one that held more than it revealed, directed at the unseen observers.

Deep within his subconscious, Xuantian remained asleep. Yet his energy stirred, gradually nearing its peak. He was preparing—for a disaster that had no name and no prophecy, one even the world had yet to imagine.

As Veyron made his way toward the restaurant, he accidentally bumped into someone. The figure had flaming red hair and piercing, serious eyes—clearly not an ordinary person. In a hazy glimpse of the future, Veyron sensed that this man would become the tournament champion.

Before he could say anything, a notification rang out in his mind.

---

[Ding! Two Reincarnators Detected Nearby. Remain Cautious, Sir.]

Fourth Tutorial Mission: Befriend the Two Reincarnators Like Yourself and Eliminate the Union Members Together.

---

Veyron froze.

"So… there are other reincarnators in this world?" he muttered. "This world really isn't as simple as it looks."

"So the fourth tutorial… is to ally with reincarnators and take down the Union?"

"Correct, Sir. That is the core of your mission."

The hunger that had led him to the restaurant faded—replaced by a surge of curiosity. Without wasting a second, Veyron chased after the red-haired man.

"Hey! Wait up!"

The man turned, raising an eyebrow. Not entirely surprised.

"Why are you chasing me?"

Breathing heavily, Veyron didn't waste time.

"You're a reincarnator, aren't you?"

The man narrowed his eyes. "How do you know that? Don't tell me… you have a system too?"

"Wait… so you also— You have a system?"

The tension dissolved into light laughter. They both stared at each other with mutual astonishment.

"I thought I was the only one," Veyron said, almost relieved.

They ended up sitting together in Eidravelle's most famous restaurant, where tournament registration was taking place.

"What was your name… in your first life?" Veyron asked.

"Ahn Juhyuk," the red-haired man replied. "Now, I go by Ahn Taeryun. My system is the God of Time. I reincarnated earlier than you... I even saved the world once—but failed. So I reset, back to level 1… and climbed up again to level 1,000."

"What? You're level 1,000? Then... you know this world's future?"

"I'm sorry. That… I cannot reveal."

Ahn Taeryun looked at Veyron, then asked, "What about you? What's your first life's name? What about now?"

Veyron hesitated.

"…Kim Han. Now I go by Veyron Aldrecht. My system is… the God of Arrows."

A lie—intentional. He still wasn't sure if Ahn Taeryun was an ally… or a threat.

"Arrow system, huh? Then why are you carrying a sword? Don't tell me—"

"It's not mine. Belongs to my friend, Hari. He brought too many weapons, so I'm helping him carry this."

"Well, I'll see you at the tournament, Veyron."

They parted ways. Veyron paid for their food and made his way to the registration desk.

As he walked, Ahn Taeryun narrowed his eyes.

"Still level 100… but your aura is monstrous. The Aldrecht family didn't exist in historical records. Who are you really? Friend… foe… or something this world should never have known?"

---

With the evening breeze brushing past him, Veyron chuckled softly, covering his mouth with his hand.

"He can detect lies… but I'm not afraid. I've grown. And fear… doesn't exist in my campus or my second life."

He resumed his walk, grabbing a few famous Eidravelle snacks.

"Hari's still sleeping in Xuantian's palace. What are you doing? Me? I'm having fun here."

Though Xuantian remained unseen, Veyron knew… when the time came, he would awaken.

"Well then, guess I'll sleep—uh, I mean, train! Hahahaha!"

Veyron ran straight into the forest, laughing along the way.

"Who knows? Maybe I'll stumble upon another dragon! Hahahaha!"

Suddenly, a house came into view—hidden deep in the woods and surrounded by vicious monsters. Veyron's eyes gleamed.

"There's gotta be a dragon in there… just like Zephyron and Xuantian. My third dragon!"

But when he knocked on the door, it wasn't a dragon that appeared—it was a human. Or rather… something far beyond human. The aura that radiated from within was suffocating.

"Uh—sorry for disturbing your sleep, sir. I'll be leaving now. Good night!"

"Wait a moment… How did you find this place? I placed a level 8 magic barrier over this entire forest!"

Veyron's eyes widened.

"You… You're from the Magic Continent of Ironvale… You must be… Zehram?"

"Hmph. So you know who I am, kid? Yes, I'm Zehram. Imperial Archmage of the Seven Empires. A Circle Ten Mage."

"Of course I know you! I've read the imperial histories… Before the Aldrecht family rose to power, you vanished without a trace—as if the world swallowed you whole."

Zehram studied Veyron.

"You have a rare magical talent. So why wield a sword? And why haven't you opened Elarion's mana core?"

"Maybe because I couldn't. But I've already opened my aura."

"…Boy. Would you like to become my student?"

Veyron paused, thinking carefully.

"…I'll be your student, Grandpa Zehram. But I have to compete in the tournament first."

"No need to worry. Ten days in here equals one hour in the outside world. We'll train for two years. You'll still make it to registration."

"In that case… make me the strongest!"

---

Two Years Later (Outside World: 10 Days)

An explosion shattered the stillness. Zehram's house crumbled in smoke and dust. From the ruins, a figure emerged.

Veyron Aldrecht.

"You did it. Circle Eight. Your talent… it's terrifying. You may even surpass the gods."

"I'll become a Circle Twenty mage. A mage of the divine."

Zehram stared at him. "You… you're a reincarnator, aren't you?"

"…You knew?"

"I did. And now, I'll reveal the truth behind the Mana Circles. Listen carefully."

Circle 20 – The Multiverse Transcendent

At this level, your existence is no longer merely a part of reality—you become the architect of the multiverse itself. You possess the power to create not just new worlds, but entire layers of multiverse—each with its own laws, timelines, and pantheons of gods shaped by your will.

But beyond creation, you do something greater: you defy the laws set by the Original Creator who forged the multiverse.

With every step you take, reality trembles, time halts, and existence shudders.

Your words are not just law… they are a rejection of the highest law.

"He does not submit to the Creator—he forges Creators of his own."

---

"These are the secrets of mana circles, aura cores… and sword levels. But those will come later—after you win the first round of the tournament. Go. Register."

"Yes, Master. I'll win. And I'll return."

---

Veyron stepped out of the forest, breathing in the wind and the scent of grass.

"So… Circles Three to Ten are the powerhouses… This world isn't ordinary."

He arrived at the registration booth.

"Name?"

"Veyron Aldrecht. From House Aldrecht, rulers of the empire."

Silence fell. The son of the empire… joining a tournament?

"Thank you for joining the Eidravelle Regional Tournament. Please proceed to the VVIP room."

---

VVIP Room

The children of noble families glanced at him, but Veyron ignored them. As he drifted into sleep…

A voice returned—hauntingly familiar.

"Veyron… You've grown stronger. But you're still not ready to face the disaster that's coming."

Veyron bolted upright. No one was there.

"…A disaster… beyond my reach?"
