The silence stretched for a few more seconds. Bella had a concerned look on her face, while Damien leaned back with ease.
Drake looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there. Lindsay's eyes were widened with terror as her gaze darted between me and Cami.
My smirk grew wider while Cami stared at me with curiosity.
"So?" she prodded. "What happened?'
"One of them—"
A shrill ring broke through the air, cutting me off and startling Cami. She grabbed her phone and stared at the name of the caller.
She pushed back her chair and straightened. "Sorry, I've gotta take this."
I watched as she walked away and turned to Lindsay who clenched her chest, breathing hard. I stood up and walked towards her.
I gripped her chair and turned her to face me. "Lindsay, the next time you try to undermine me again, I'll plaster your face on newspaper outlets, magazines, and posters all over the city, with the title 'HOMEWRECKER' written on it."
