I blinked, staring at the man in front of me. The man I'd given my heart to, only to have it ripped away from my chest.
The last time I saw Drake that miserable was when he was preparing for a huge presentation with a client in Japan.
The result of the meeting would make or break his career. He'd got the project and I'd been proud of him for accomplishing that.
Although now, I couldn't help but wonder if being a Brown had something to do with it.
"Aria?" he called.
"Get out of the way, Drake. I have to get back to my husband."
He stood rooted in the spot and I glared at him. "What do you think you're doing?"
"I love you, Aria. I know I hurt you, in ways you didn't deserve. But I never stopped loving you," he said.
I folded my arms. "Is that so? I thought you found me unattractive."
"Wasn't that what you said in front of Melanie and Lindsay? Isn't that why you stopped having sex with me?" I asked.
He shook his head. "No, I lied. I lied to you to keep you safe."
