Chapter 60 - Sparks in the Sky

🎶Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated🎶

Perry the Platypus dropped from the vent with practiced silence, landing squarely on the cold metal floor of Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated. He adjusted his fedora with a tiny flick.

Across the room, Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz spun dramatically in his chair.

"Ahh! Perry the Platypus!" he pointed, then squinted. "Wait… are you just going to stand there and not—"

CLANG.

A cage snapped down from the ceiling, perfectly trapping Perry mid-step.

Doofenshmirtz blinked. "…Huh. That worked way faster than usual."

Perry stared, unimpressed.

Doofenshmirtz puffed his chest proudly and marched over. "Well, since you're already captured, I guess I can skip the part where I explain my tragic backstory—actually no, I cannot skip that part."

He cleared his throat dramatically. "You see, Perry the Platypus, when I was a child"

Perry pressed a button on his wrist device. A tiny laser flicked out and began quietly working on the cage bars.

"My faher didn't even show up for my own birth!" Doof continued, pacing. "And now, I will finally get the recognition I deserve with my newest invention…"

He pulled a tarp away with a flourish.

"Behold! The Sky-Blast-Inator!"

The machine gleamed under the dim lab lights, all coils and tubes and suspiciously glowing parts.

"With this," Doof explained, "I will blast a very specific section of the sky above the Tri-State Area and… uh…" he paused, thinking, "you know, make it… slightly more dramatic! People love dramatic skies!"

Perry, halfway through cutting a bar, paused just long enough to give a look that clearly said that's your plan?

"Yes, yes, I know, it sounds small," Doof said defensively. "But it's a stepping stone to bigger evil!"

He marched over to the control panel. "Now, witness the power of my—"

He pressed the button.

Nothing happened.

"…Oh." He looked down. "…I forgot to plug it in."

Perry's eyes narrowed.

The next second, the cage bars snapped apart.

With a swift motion, Perry rolled out, whipped out his grappling hook, and zipped across the lab. The usual dance began.

Fast, precise, and oddly rhythmic. A kick here, a flip there, gadgets clinking like a tiny mechanical symphony.

"Hey! That's not fair, I just fixed that!" Doof protested as Perry dismantled part of the machine mid-fight.

One well-placed strike sent Doof spinning into a wall.

Perry pressed a final button on the Inator.

It sparked violently.

"Wait—no, don't press that one!"

FWOOOSH!

A beam shot straight into the sky, slicing through the clouds like a glowing needle.

BOOM.

The machine exploded into a harmless shower of scrap.

Doofenshmirtz sat up, soot-covered, blinking. "…I really need to label those buttons better."

Perry adjusted his hat and slipped away as sirens quietly began to hum in the distance.

Above, the sky shimmered.

Somewhere in Deep Space

Inside a massive ship drifting like a silent predator, a towering figure stood before a glowing screen.

Captain Gantu, broad and imposing, watched as the image of Dr. Hämsterviel flickered to life. The small, rabbit-rodent-like alien stood with his usual smug posture, red eyes gleaming.

"Have you done your assignment, Gantu?" Hämsterviel asked.

Gantu stepped aside. "Yes, Dr. Hämsterviel. All 625 of Jumba's experiments are in my possession."

Behind him, rows upon rows of small pods filled the chamber, each one holding a dehydrated alien experiment.

"Using the map we obtained from Jumba before his exile," Gantu continued, "I tracked them near the dwarf planet Pluto."

Hämsterviel's grin stretched wide. "Excellent. Soon, their power will be mine"

When suddenly...

BOOM.

The ship lurched violently.

An energy blast tore through the hull, ripping open a section near the stored experiments.

Alarms screamed.

The pods began to rattle.

Gantu's eyes widened. "No—no, no, no!"

The vacuum pulled at everything. Pods were yanked free, spiraling into space like scattered seeds.

Gantu lunged forward, grabbing at them, but the force dragged him toward the breach.

"Hold them!" Hämsterviel shouted from the screen, panicking. "Don't let them escape!"

But it was too late.

The experiments shot out into the vast darkness and began falling.

Earth – Kauai, Hawaii

Night draped the island in soft blues and silver light.

On the rooftop of a small house, Lilo and Stitch lay side by side, staring up at the stars. The ocean whispered nearby, steady and calm.

Suddenly streaks of light cut across the sky.

One, then two, and then dozens.

Lilo gasped, sitting up. "Look, Stitch! Shooting stars!"

Stitch's ears perked. "Ooooh…"

"You have to make a wish!"

Stitch mimicked her, squinting up at the sky.

Lilo quickly grabbed his hands, guiding them together. "No, no, like this!" She pressed his palms together.

Lilo closed her eyes tightly. "I wish… that our family stays together. No matter what happens."

She peeked at Stitch. "Your turn."

Stitch thought for a moment, then smiled softly, his voice quieter than usual.

"Stitch wish… no more lonely."

Lilo's expression softened. She leaned against him. "Yeah… me too."

Above them, the falling lights grew brighter.
