Chapter 18 - Chapter 18

"They are the most outstanding young men of the Lin family, Lin Dong and Lin Changqiang, right?" Off to the side, Luo Cheng, who was conversing with Lin Zhentian, suddenly turned his head to look at Lin Changqiang and Lin Dong.

"Greetings, Master Luo." Facing Luo Cheng, whose cultivation was significantly superior to his, Lin Changqiang, with a serious expression, saluted with Lin Dong.

Luo Cheng's gaze, a hint of sharpness, swept over the two men before nodding. "Both are excellent talents. The Lin family is blessed."

Lin Zhentian, hearing this, stroked his beard, a smile on his face. Luo Cheng's eyes were known for being sharp and critical, and earning such praise was a rare achievement.

Luo Cheng was not one for conversation, so after a brief conversation, he led the men from the Mad Blade Martial Arts School to sit elsewhere. Throughout, he never once glanced at either the Lei or Xie families. Unlike Lin Zhentian, Luo Cheng didn't even bother with the superficiality of it.

With the establishment of the Wild Blade Martial Arts School, the largest factions in Qingyang Town also arrived.

Not long after, Lei Bao suddenly emanated a surge of his own energy and stood up, his sunken eyes scanning the entire Beast Horn Arena.

Seeing this, the clamor in the arena subsided considerably. After all, the Lei family held considerable prestige in Qingyang Town and the surrounding area for a hundred miles.

"Everyone, I'm sure you all understand the rules of the hunting competition, so I won't elaborate further. Anyone who can obtain ten identity cards will ascend to the giant stage, where the true champion will be decided!"

Lei Bao's deep voice, enhanced by his energy, echoed throughout the Beast Horn Arena, clearly audible to everyone.

"The identity cards have been collected by each family. Next, we will give them to the participating juniors, allowing them to enter the Beast Horn Arena and begin their hunt!"

"Dong'er, spears, here." Lin Zhentian cheerfully pulled two black and gold wooden cards from his arms and handed them to the two.

Watching Lin Dong stuff the wooden sign into his arms, Lin Changqiang pretended to do the same, but in reality, he secretly stored it in his system backpack. Then, the two of them turned and leaped off the platform, landing in the Beast Horn Arena.

Gazing at the jungle ahead, Lin Dong clenched his fists. He glanced up at the sea of people surrounding the jungle, a hint of nervousness rising. Lin Changqiang paused, "So, when we enter the jungle later, what will these spectators see? The scenery?"

"Uh..." Hearing this, Lin Dong paused for a moment, then glanced at the dense forest before him, then back at the audience, his expression quizzical. "Perhaps they're just here to watch the final duel."

As they spoke, several figures began to rush into the jungle, everyone wary of one another.

The hunt had begun, and the two men, no longer hesitating, walked leisurely into the jungle, the clamor that filled their ears gradually fading.

After determining the direction, the two briefly discussed and headed straight for the giant platform in the center. Ultimately, all the contestants were headed there, and it would save them the trouble of searching individually.

The previously tranquil jungle was suddenly stirred by the sudden intrusion of the crowd, with beastly roars and cries echoing one after another. Lin Changqiang and Lin Dong were fortunate enough not to encounter any wild beasts, continuing their leisurely journey, humming a tune. It wasn't until several minutes later that someone finally appeared before them. The two paused, gazing at the three people ahead with interest.

"Hand over your ID cards," a dark-skinned young man among the three said in a muffled voice. As he spoke, his two companions, in tacit agreement, spread out slightly, half-surrounding the two men, fearing they might escape.

"You or me?" Lin Dong glanced at Lin Changqiang and blinked.

"You do it." Lin Changqiang stretched nonchalantly and even yawned. "You dealt with Lei Li last time, this time it's my turn. So, I'll leave the others to you."

Lin Dong couldn't help but smile and shook his head. He knew Lin Changqiang was simply too lazy to make a move. Then, he slowly stepped forward, his Yuanli surging.

"Attack!" Seeing this, the three men's faces darkened slightly, and they pounced fiercely upon Lin Dong. A faint glow appeared on their bodies, revealing that they were only at the sixth level of the Body Tempering Realm.

"Without the internet, information transmission is truly difficult. Three sixth-level Body Tempering Realm cultivators dare to challenge Lin Dong. I guess they didn't even recognize him," Lin Changqiang shook his head.

  "Bang, bang, bang."

As expected, in the blink of an eye, the three men, who had just been so ferocious, collapsed to the ground, wailing.

Lin Dong, beaming, snatched the ID badges from the three men and waved, "Thank you."

Then, he leisurely walked around them and approached Lin Changqiang's side. The two of them continued their journey deeper into the jungle, leaving the three men lying on the ground with bitter expressions.

Next, the two encountered several more waves of unlucky robbers. For the two, now at the Earthly Origin Realm, this was naturally like walking into a tiger's den.

As time passed, they gradually delved deeper into the jungle. Most of the people they encountered were quite skilled. After all, surviving so many obstacles and making it this far would have been impossible without some skill. It was just a pity they had encountered them. Soon, their ID cards reached sixteen, just four shy of twenty.

In the jungle, Lin Dong sat cross-legged, taking a piece of dry food from his pocket and munching on it. Lin Changqiang leaned against a tree, gazing up at the sky at a perfect forty-five-degree angle, but in reality, he was keeping a peripheral vision on his surroundings.

He remembered that someone might attempt a surprise attack on Lin Dong under the guise of a test shot, but it was Lin Dong's constant vigilance and quick reflexes that saved him from being hit.

While being shot wouldn't have been a problem, and Lin Dong didn't get angry after the other party explained everything, Lin Changqiang still felt a little offended by the behavior, and so he decided to give the other person a taste of his own medicine.

Not long after, just as Lin Dong finished his rations and closed his eyes to rest, the bushes suddenly trembled slightly, and an arrow suddenly shot towards him. To Lin Changqiang's surprise, another arrow shot out from the same position the next second, aiming at him!

"Tsk." Lin Changqiang raised an eyebrow and instantly spread his five fingers. He aimed at the direction of the arrow and unleashed a minimal fireball spell.

"Whoosh!" There was a sound of breaking wind, and the five fireballs actually knocked the streaking arrows down, then flew into the jungle without losing momentum.

  "Bang, bang, bang, bang!"

Five explosions echoed in succession, and a figure fell to the ground in a panic. The two men looked over and saw the figure struggling to get up, watching them warily.

The attacker was a young girl in a tight leather skirt. Her delicate figure looked exquisitely sculpted in this outfit, and her skin wasn't the pale white of an average woman; instead, it had a healthy, tanned hue, giving her a wild, untamed look. This girl, like a young female leopard, was filled with explosive power.

Unfortunately, despite her best efforts to dodge, she was still somewhat affected by the blast. She was now covered in wounds, burns from the blast, and scrapes from falling. While none of her injuries were serious, she was clearly no match for Lin Dong and Lin Changqiang.
