After the "sky poop" incident yesterday, Kazuki officially declared his life cursed. But when he got back to his dorm and saw Aira watering her plants with a smile like nothing happened, he felt an instant mental breakdown.
"Morning, Kazuki! Don't tell me you're still traumatized from yesterday~"
Kazuki glanced at her briefly. "Pretend you don't know me today."
But fate wasn't done messing with him yet.
That night, Kazuki was watching horror anime alone in his room. Suddenly—KNOCK KNOCK!
"Hey, open up!"
It was Aira's voice. At midnight.
Kazuki blinked. "What are you, a night-shift ghost?"
Aira just grinned. "I had a nightmare. Can I watch with you?"
And so, two supposedly "not that close" classmates ended up watching horror anime together. Aira screamed every five minutes, while Kazuki awkwardly tried to stay cool.
But the real heart-pounding moment came when Aira glanced at Kazuki, who was fully focused on the screen.
She whispered in her heart:
"This guy… might be warmer than I thought."
Kazuki?
He thought,
"I seriously need to upgrade my door with fingerprint security."
