Chapter 77 - Oh, My Dear Leeks

"Yin'e, come out," Yang Yunhai called softly.

Bathed in blue light, Yin'e's graceful figure floated beside Yang Yunhai. She quickly bowed and said crisply,

"Hello, Sister Zhuqing, my name is Yin'e."

So beautiful.

Even Zhu Zhuqing, who had some confidence in her own looks, couldn't help but lose focus for a moment. But she quickly regained her composure, smiled, and said generously,

"Sister Yin'e, there's no need to be so reserved. Just treat this place as your home. From now on, we're all family."

Yang Yunhai froze for a moment. Zhu Zhuqing's words were undoubtedly sending him a clear signal.

Is she making this decision because she's worried about my safety? he wondered inwardly.

Catching a glimpse of Yang Yunhai's expression, Zhu Zhuqing turned her head slightly, smiled faintly, and said nothing more.

"Yes, yes, Sister Zhuqing is the best," Yin'e said happily, nodding repeatedly.

Zhu Zhuqing returned the smile, then turned her gaze toward Yang Yunhai.

Yang Yunhai snapped back to his senses, his expression complex, part apology, part gratitude. His eyes softened as he gave Zhu Zhuqing a small smile, as if to thank her for her understanding. When she responded with a slight nod, he turned to Yin'e and said after a moment's thought,

"Yin'e, your ability to sense and communicate with Blue Silver Grass is much stronger than mine. From now on, please help monitor the surroundings of this valley. If anyone approaches, inform me immediately. Also, as I've said before, without my permission, don't take physical form, and don't use your abilities when strangers are nearby. It's too dangerous."

"If you're discovered, both you and I could be in grave danger."

"Understood. Yin'e will remember," Yin'e said quickly with a nod.

"Good." Yang Yunhai nodded, then turned to Zhu Zhuqing with a smile. "Zhuqing, it's getting late. I'll go make dinner. You stay here and chat with Yin'e. She's just entered the human world and doesn't know much, you can teach her."

"Alright," Zhu Zhuqing replied with a nod.

Yang Yunhai then left the bedroom and headed for the kitchen.

Before long, dinner was ready. After eating their fill, Zhu Zhuqing took Yin'e back to the bedroom to continue teaching her about the human world and knowledge of soul masters. Feeling he had nothing to add, Yang Yunhai helplessly stepped outside, sat in a lounge chair, and watched the sunset while digesting his meal.

Fifteen minutes later, he returned to the bedroom.

When he entered, Zhu Zhuqing stopped speaking, said a quick word to Yin'e, and began cultivating her soul power.

A short while later, bored, Yin'e began communicating with the Blue Silver Grass outside, observing the surroundings.

As she looked, she noticed faint specks of blue light on the surrounding plants. Turning her gaze to Yang Yunhai sitting cross-legged, she saw similar light gathering around him. Her heart stirred, and she sent out a signal to the Blue Silver Grass nearby.

The next moment, answering the call of their emperor, countless golden specks of light drifted into the room.

"Hm?" Yang Yunhai instantly noticed the surge of energy entering his body. Realizing it was Yin'e's doing, he could tell this life-filled energy came from the Blue Silver Grass in the valley outside.

"Blue Silver Domain, accepting all rivers?" he thought.

"I didn't expect Yin'e to retain her domain talent."

Given Yin'e's gentle nature, this must have been through voluntary sharing from the surrounding Blue Silver Grass, not forceful extraction. Though not sustainable for long, since the plants' cultivation was weak,it was still a fine occasional boost. With that in mind, he focused on absorbing the energy.

Seeing she had helped Yang Yunhai, Yin'e smiled sweetly and quickly sent her thanks to the surrounding Blue Silver Grass.

The valley's Blue Silver Grass swayed happily in response.

Half an hour later, the energy around Yang Yunhai lessened, and his cultivation speed returned to normal.

Hours passed, and he finally finished his nightly training.

Opening his eyes, he saw Yin'e lying on the bed, propping her chin in her hands while watching him, and Zhu Zhuqing standing nearby, tidying up his clothes.

Smiling, he got up and walked closer. "Thank you for earlier, Yin'e."

Just that half hour had boosted his soul power as much as a month of hard training. Compared to using lightning tempering, this method was effortless and painless.

"As long as I can help you, Yun," Yin'e said with a sweet smile, quickly sitting up,her movement causing a distracting ripple.

Zhu Zhuqing, standing beside them, looked puzzled.

"Yin'e just used her ability to communicate with Blue Silver Grass, making the valley's plants voluntarily share part of their life energy to boost my cultivation speed," Yang Yunhai explained.

Such an ability startled Zhu Zhuqing.

But the Blue Silver Grass's life energy probably only works for Yunhai, she thought privately.

Yang Yunhai's expression then grew awkward. "Zhuqing, Yin'e just woke up not long ago, and she's not used to the empty, colorless space inside the soul bone. During the day, she can follow me outside, but at night…"

"Mm, Yin'e doesn't like it in there. I want to stay with Yun," Yin'e said innocently and bluntly.

Zhu Zhuqing's face flushed, instantly understanding Yang Yunhai's helpless look.

This was a giant lightbulb, one that stayed on every night. And to make it worse, it came with a binding function.

"Yin'e, why don't you sleep with Zhuqing tonight? I have something to take care of and will be going to bed late," Yang Yunhai suggested.

Yin'e's face showed reluctance.

"Sister Yin'e, I can keep telling you more about the human world," Zhu Zhuqing added.

She didn't want Yin'e staying in the same room as Yang Yunhai. And she wasn't entirely happy about sleeping alone either, but this was the compromise.

"Alright then," Yin'e nodded slightly. She was still quite interested in learning about human things.

"I'll head back to my room, then," Yang Yunhai said with a nod. Picking up his clean clothes, he left the bedroom.

Back in his own room, he quickly showered, sat at his desk, and began writing a letter.

The Strange Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum was perfect for his Teacher Chrysanthemum Douluo, and he also needed to consider his Martial Uncle Ghost Douluo. But now wasn't the right time to summon them,it wouldn't be easy to meet, as the team would soon head to the Great Spirit Arena for real combat, followed by a tour of the major cities. It would be better to wait until they returned.

Still, he could write the letter in advance.

He included his understanding of soul skill advancement and his ideas for eventually creating his own soul skill, along with notes about the Strange Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum. Being a transmigrator steeped in internet culture, he wasn't short on creative ideas, and he felt sure Chrysanthemum Douluo would be inspired after reading it.

After all, his goal was to become a worthy teacher who could protect his students.

With that in mind, his pen moved quickly.

Soon, the letter was done and stored in his soul tool. He stepped lightly out of the wooden house and into the lush patch of Blue Silver Grass where he often trained.

Tonight, they had given him exceptional support, and he felt they deserved a reward, something to encourage them for next time.

Oh, my dear leeks, grow strong and tall!
