Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE: The Last Game

Before 404 players entered the new nightmare, there was another game...

And one player survived.

But he never left.

"The Final Glitch"

Blood. Smoke. Screams.

They echo in the void of the Final Arena—where there are no walls, no sky, no ground—just a floating platform suspended in a black endless space. Red error codes flash across the horizon. The game has reached its end.

Only two players remain.

One kneels, broken, bleeding from a hundred cuts.

The other stands tall—his face half-shadowed, half-smiling. Player 404.

His real name? Long erased.

His identity? Irrelevant.

Only one fact remains: he outlived 404 players. And now, he stands as the winner.

A cold female voice—mechanical and flat—rings out across the space.

"Congratulations, Player 404. You have survived all rounds. You are the last player standing. Your prize: freedom."

404 lets out a shaky breath. His hands tremble. His eyes flicker—not with joy, but exhaustion.

"I did it," he whispers. "I can go home…"

But the voice returns, glitching now, distorted.

"Freedom. Rejected. Host override in process. Welcome… to your final upload."

A metallic cable shoots up from the floor, piercing his spine. His scream is muffled by the sudden blast of data, memories, pain, and voices flooding his brain. His flesh burns. His thoughts disintegrate. His humanity… dissolves.

One final message flickers across the corrupted sky:

SYSTEM FAILURE. ADMIN NODE: PLAYER 404 DETECTED.

RESTARTING GAME. RESETTING PLAYERS. SEARCHING FOR REPLACEMENT.

And then… silence.

Until a new voice speaks—not mechanical, not cold.

But human. Hollow. Tired.

"Let the new game begin."
