The roar finally faded, but the room remained heavy as it continued shaking.
Dust drifted from the cracked ceiling, and the sound of stone breaking came from the giant grave at the far end of the chamber.
Something was forcing its way up from the ground, at least that was how it felt.
Lucius narrowed his eyes.
A ghostly figure pulled itself out of the earth, clawing with huge, pale hands that radiated malevolent energy.
The ground groaned under the weight.
Unlike the smaller Ghost Reapers they had fought earlier, this one was massive — two, maybe three times bigger than them, it's hands were easily the size of the soul reapers.
Its claws dragged across the stone floor, each finger ending in a jagged hook.
The air chilled around it as it rose higher, the torches flickering weakly like they didn't want to be here.
It was eerie.
"Gods…" Erika whispered.
Her sword trembled in her hand, though she held it firm.
Then the grave cracked wide open.
Tentacles shot out.
