Chapter 41 - Volume 3 of Relativity Chapter 41 Death and Birth

This plane is called "the end of time," and the end is also the beginning, and thus life and all things are in a cycle, and this is where the manager of this cosmic region is born, and the manager born here is called Ye Xi LAN, and his other name is Huang Yue Xi.

The end of time is a tiny plane, because his area is just a villa. In the hall stood a crystal statue, a statue of a boy of about eleven or twelve years old. On the ground around the statue was a huge magic array, and at the key points where energy was provided stood a person.

Are you sure you want to do this? Standing in the position representing the moon, a lazy and elegant woman raised her head and looked at the young man floating above the center of the array and asked softly.

The young man had long silver-blue hair and pupils filled with illusions.

"I'm sure." There is no doubt that he is the manager here, Ye Xilan.

"Lilith understands. Please take care of yourself." The woman said sorrowfully what seemed like a farewell.

"Let's begin..." Ye Xilan said indifferently, the mournful tone of the woman almost shook him, but he insisted on his decision because the statue below was all he had, the only memorial left to him by the one he loved, the memorial that he would protect even at the cost of his life.

The magic array gradually lit up, and all of it converged on the crystal statue. It was not an ordinary crystal, it was the origin of life in the universe, the magic crystal.

 Pitch-black.

He had no idea how long he had been in this darkness. In the face of such silent darkness, time had become unimportant. The only feeling was that the air currents around him were chaotic. He knew he was in a body, only unable to control or perceive it.

He wanted to do something, but found himself unable to move at all. He wanted to think, but did not know what to think. The dazzling scenes flashed before his eyes, but his mind was blank.

He felt bewildered and even a little at a loss.

Specks of glowing red light gathered before his eyes. He did not know if he had eyes, but he saw the glow, saw them gather and take human form.

It was strange, but he knew that life in that form was called human, a familiar strangeness.

"Hello." He could hear the man speaking to him with a hint of a smile, and he knew that expression was called a smile, and he knew that the man said the smile was kind and warm.

"Who are you?" He was curious that he could speak too, but he had no idea where the sounds were coming from.

"I am you." He saw the man's brighter smile, and he didn't know why he would describe that smile as brilliant.

A feeling called confusion arose in his heart.

That person reached out his hand and said, "My name is LAN, and that's yours too." " He felt the man's fingers lightly touching his cheek, a strange feeling. The dazzling scene was suddenly replaced by a ball of fire. "You don't need these things anymore. They are my past memories." The man's voice was warm, like the flame in front of him.

"They are pretty." He didn't know why he was saying that.

"Yes, pretty, wonderful, and full of happiness." "But they are all my memories, not yours," said the man indifferently.

"Aren't you me?" He asked confusedly.

"Our difference lies in life." The man explained with a smile, "I am the past you, about to disappear, while you represent the future. The things that are useful to you in these memories are engraved deep in your consciousness, you cannot recall them, but when you need help, they will guide you."

"Are you going to die? He saw the figures in front of him becoming increasingly sparse and faint, and suddenly felt a bit alarmed. He did not understand why he knew the word "death", nor did he understand why he thought death was a terrifying word.

"No, didn't I say it? I am you, only I am the past that has passed away, and you are the present. I stand before you through time merely to take away what does not belong to the future." The man smiles gently, a smile that is not tainted by dust.

He was still puzzled, and he thought he must have put on a puzzled look because he saw the man's candid smile.

"I have been in pursuit of a state beyond the boundaries of life and death." The man seemed to have made up his mind to explain to him, "It's not eternal life. Eternal life is too exhausting. You may not be able to imagine that curiosity is worn away by the flowing years, and life becomes a stagnant pool, without the slightest ripple, and can only watch time flow quietly."

"Such a life would be too dull." He whispered.

"Yes, very boring." The man did not show any displeasure because his words were interrupted, "so I gave up all the dull memories of the past years and left you only the things that would never be dull."

"What are those things?" He asked curiously.

"You'll understand later." The man reached out and scraped his nose as if an elder brother were teasing a younger brother. "You look like a blank sheet of paper right now, full of curiosity about everything."

"Why can you move and I can't?" He frowned as he tried to reach for his nose, but he didn't know where his hand was.

The man laughed and jeered kindly, "Make yourself look like a human first. I don't know how to teach you to move in your current state." As he spoke, a mirror appeared in his hand.

He saw himself in the mirror. "Is this me?" !" He was startled, as if his eyes, nose and mouth were randomly stuck on a sticky piece of dough.

It seems that you have a lot to learn. The figure seemed a little more transparent. "Just imagine becoming a human first."

He looked at himself, then at the dough in the mirror, then a head rose out of the dough, then the limbs, and finally the body.

"Can I take on any other form?" He asked excitedly, and before he could answer, he suddenly turned into a monster again. "Ha ha, so much fun!"

"Don't become weird!" The man suddenly raised his face, a little annoyed.

"I'm sorry." He returned to his human form pitifully, drooping his head.

"I don't have much time left to teach you one last lesson." The man sighed, looking somewhat helpless.

He raised his head, a look of longing in his eyes.

The scenery around suddenly changed, towering trees rose up from the ground, mountains rose and then collapsed, depressions turned into lakes and dried up, the billions of years of change in the universe condensed into a moment, how splendid, how strange.

 He was almost stunned.

"I tell you, this is your power, do you believe it?" The man looked at him as if he were a strict teacher.

He hesitated for a long time, then shook his head.

The man reached out and drew a circle in the air. "Tell me, where is the starting point? Where is the end?"

"I don't know." "Every point can be both a starting point and an ending point," he admitted honestly.

The man laughed, "You're right. Why say you don't know? The beginning is the end, the end is the beginning, and then circle after circle without end, that is the law of the universe - zero is infinity."

He thought for a moment and then nodded.

The next moment everything around returned to silent darkness, and then an endless expanse of ground stretched out beneath his feet, mountains, lakes, winds, thunderstorms... And the flames.

It seems you've understood. The man laughed with relief.

He looked excitedly at everything around him, not noticing at all that the man's body had become transparent into an illusory mist.

"This is the power you have, and it will go to order or destruction according to your will..." The man's voice was still lingering in his heart, but the figure had vanished.

"Where have you been?" Suddenly, he cried out in panic, but with a realization in his heart that the man was gone and would never show up again.

"Death isn't such a terrifying thing." He muttered to himself, sensing what was engraved deep in his heart, "Death is just a process of life."

Out of his control, the surroundings soon returned to a silent black, except where he stood, which seemed like a small, glowing disc.

The light spread around the disc, forming a strange and beautiful pattern.

 Magic array.

The word immediately came to his mind.

He was strange, with countless energy surging towards him, yet he felt nothing of it, as if he were a bottomless abyss, with bits and pieces of things falling in and not filling him at all.

But he found something even more strange, something that was very similar to the arrangement of these energy points gradually appeared in the air, but they were all fluorescent red and kept spinning and changing.

He was captivated by these strange things, and he had never seen any substance with such a structure.

Magic crystal, another word popped into his mind.

These strange things grew more and more dense, almost taking up his entire field of vision. Before his eyes were vast patches of fluorescent red, and then even his thoughts were occupied by these fluorescent reds.

Everything was blurry, and then he heard a clear voice from above, "LAN." That was his name.

What came into view was the white hall, and he looked around blankly, not knowing what to do.

"Our mission is over..." A weary female voice.

He looked at the indistinct figure in front of him, which could be vaguely recognized as a woman's figure. He tried to see it more clearly, but found that the figure was even more indistinct, rippling like water, and suddenly gave off a dazzling, fluorescent red light.

He instinctively reached out to cover his eyes. When the light faded, he clearly saw a round crystal bead suspended in the air, and the fluorescent red within it vanished in an instant, and the bead fell to the ground, shattering into pieces.

And so did the other figures around him.

"Did you see it? The collapse of the deity." That sorrowful voice came from above.

"Are they dead?" He asked, then shook his head again, "No, they aren't dead, because you remember them in your heart."

Ye Xilan looked at LAN before her as if she didn't know him.

"Brother." He turned around, somewhat awkwardly, not yet accustomed to controlling the body. "Haven't you thought about the meaning of life all these long years?"

Ye Xilan was stunned for a moment, and suddenly there was a glimmer of understanding that he had been pursuing creation but had forgotten the origin.

"The meaning of life lies in continuation. It goes on and on." LAN said softly.

Ye Xilan suddenly laughed. He opened his arms and embraced the child he had devoted all his efforts to. "It turns out that the one who never understood is me."

"It makes no sense to force life to be eternal." LAN happily closed her hands, and when she opened them again, a red bird slowly raised its head.

A black coat of arms rose between Ye Xi LAN's eyebrows, and a purple-black dragon appeared in the air. He took his hand and carved a strange symbol on his index finger.

"Dark purple and crimson represent chaos and order respectively." "When you can truly understand these two opposing words, come back here..." said Ye Xilan. Blinding white streaks of light spread from his bosom.

LAN still wanted to say something, but by the time the intense light had dissipated, he was already standing in a strange place.
