Jabra flared up in anger, instinctively wanting to curse back, but unfortunately, Meiser simply turned his head away, ignoring him completely. This made Jabra's face turn purple with rage.
"Robin, you heard everything, didn't you?" Meiser said, looking at Nico Robin.
Nico Robin remained silent, her expression extremely complicated. She couldn't understand why this new member of the Straw Hat Pirates would go to such lengths for her.
She had heard it clearly just now—this crewmate intended to challenge the Buster Call!
That was the Buster Call... a force capable of annihilating an entire island!
"Hahahaha, this is amazing!!" Franky burst into laughter. "Now this is what a real man does!"
Challenging the Buster Call—this guy was truly bold. Yet, Franky couldn't help but feel exhilarated.
Fearless as he was, even Franky was stirred by Meiser's bold declaration. If he could truly crush the Buster Call, the Straw Hat Pirates would create a legend!
Whether it was storming Enies Lobby head-on or defeating the Buster Call, they would shatter an eight-hundred-year record held by the World Government!
"Why... why are you doing this? I already told you..." Nico Robin bit her lip. "Why would you go this far for someone like me..."
"Even after all this, I still can't change your mind?" Meiser frowned. "Just how heavy is the weight crushing your heart?"
"Hmph, now you see it, don't you?"
Spandam, who had walked out alongside CP9, sneered at Meiser. "As long as I hold the authority of the Buster Call, this woman won't dare do anything reckless."
Suddenly, Luffy's voice echoed from a distant window.
"Hey!"
"Meiser, are you there?!"
"Robin!!"
"That voice... Luffy?!" Robin's pupils shrank.
Had they really made it this far?
"Seems they weren't slow either," Meiser remarked.
Peering through a gap, Meiser could see Luffy standing atop the Courthouse building.
Clearly, thanks to the chaos Meiser had caused with his Shadow Clones in the inner island, Luffy and the others hadn't faced much resistance.
Even within the Courthouse, many had been taken out by Meiser along the way.
"Heh, I didn't expect them to actually charge in here," Kaku said coldly. "Pirate, is this why you were so confident?"
"Of course," Meiser replied. "I always believed Luffy and the others would make it here."
After speaking, Meiser glanced at Robin. "Let's go. Since Luffy's here, you can tell him whatever's on your mind."
As his words faded, two flashes of cold light sliced through the air. The chains binding Franky and Nico Robin were severed by Meiser.
With the chains falling away, Spandam's expression darkened. Was this guy mocking them?
Still, he took some comfort—Sea Stone was as hard as diamond. Without the special key, there was no way to unlock those cuffs and free them!
"Haha, finally free!" Franky cheered excitedly.
This feeling of being trapped by chains was absolutely terrible. Now that he was free again, he was going to team up with the ninja guy to take down these bastards!
However, before he could say anything, Meiser grabbed him and Nico Robin, vanishing from the spot in an instant.
The sight made the members of Cipher Pol 9 narrow their eyes in shock.
"Dammit, where did they go?!" Spandam roared angrily.
"Over there, on the balcony," Fukuro pointed toward the window and said.
They hadn't left—they had merely moved to the balcony. It seemed they intended to have a proper conversation with the Straw Hat Boy?
Filled with suspicion, the entire Cipher Pol 9 team walked over.
After glancing at Meiser standing to the side, they stepped onto the balcony and silently observed the Straw Hat Boy in the distance.
"True, at this distance, it wouldn't be easy for him to leave," Spandam nodded in agreement.
Though he didn't know how the other party had gotten here, Spandam didn't believe they could jump across such a vast distance while carrying two people.
"Robin!"
"Meiser!"
Luffy looked at them excitedly and shouted, "I'm here!"
"Hey, what about me?!"
"Oh, Franky."
Franky: "..."
Was he just an afterthought?
"Haha, hold on, I'll be right there!" Luffy assessed the distance and said, "It's a bit far, but I can give it a try."
With the power of the Gum-Gum Fruit, he might just make the jump.
"Wait!" Robin stopped him. "Who asked you to come save me?!"
"I don't want to live anymore—can't you understand that?!"
Luffy visibly froze, his grip on the rooftop loosening before he finally withdrew his hand helplessly.
"How can you still be saying things like this now?" Franky stared at Nico Robin in disbelief. He had never met someone so stubborn.
"Hey, what the hell are you thinking?!" Franky pointed at Meiser, then at Luffy. "This ninja guy is willing to defy the World Government's Buster Call for you."
"And the Straw Hat Boy and his crew fought their way all the way here. And now you're saying this?"
"Hahahaha, how amusing," Spandam laughed loudly. "Your comrades traveled all this way to save you, yet this woman doesn't even have the courage to resist. How hilarious."
"Hey, have you ever seen something this funny? Pirates turning on each other and all."
"I'm really looking forward to the Straw Hat Boy's expression. This guy—"
"Seriously, all this talk about dying or not..." Luffy picked his nose and said, "What nonsense are you spouting?"
Spandam: "???"
He—he was picking his nose?!
Did this guy even have a brain? Nico Robin was outright rejecting him, and yet he didn't react violently—just dug for gold?
"Listen, Robin," Luffy said calmly. "We're already here. Whether you live or die can wait until after we save you."
BOOM!!
With a deafening explosion, the floor behind them shattered into a massive hole, sending Nami and Chopper flying out.
"Ah~"
"Safe landing," Nami sighed in relief as she hit the ground.
Thud~
"It's not safe..." Chopper said as he fell to the ground.
Next was Zoro, who crawled out of the hole while rubbing his head. "As expected, this was the easiest way," he remarked.
"You bastard, I knew it was you!" Nami scolded.
If not for their luck, they would have all been taken out by Zoro's slash earlier.
"Everyone's fine, aren't they?" Zoro said calmly.
Nami: ???
"BOOM!!"
"I'm here!" Sanji kicked through the floor and flew out, landing gracefully in a free pose.
"I must be the first one here~" Sanji said with a grin.
Then, he noticed Zoro staring at him with disdain.
"Hey, shitty cook, took you long enough. Did you get lost?"
Sanji: ???
"How... how could those words come out of YOUR mouth?!"
Sanji was furious. Being asked if he got lost by a directionally challenged idiot—and a damn moss-head at that—made his face turn red with anger.
"Tch~"
"Bastard!"
"Hey, catch me!!"
Usopp suddenly shot up from below, calling out to his crewmates, only to crash headfirst into the floor.
"Wh... why didn't anyone catch me...?"
"Hey, you okay, Sogeking?!"
"To think these guys actually made it here... unbelievable," Kalifa muttered in astonishment. "How did they get through Aqua Laguna?"
"It seems this man wasn't just boasting," Blueno said, glancing at Meiser. "At the very least, they have some skill."
Making it here head-on proved the strength of the Straw Hat Pirates. And this man... his resolve to stand against the Buster Call might be genuine after all!
