Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Isekai Issues

Beep Beep Beep I woke up this morning to the beeping sound of my phone alarm. I turned over in my bed and hit the snooze button. Why couldn't zombies just take over so I can stay home? My work could also burn down. That would be nice, I just don't wanna go to work. I begged the universe silently to make that happen, I shouldn't have done that.

I slowly got up after my third alarm interrupted my slumber. I went to my bathroom and got ready for the day. I put on my work shirt and some jeans, grabbed my over the shoulder bag and headed out. I couldn't afford a car so I started walking to the bus stop. That was when my wish was granted, a man ran past and grabbed my bag, thankfully it was around my shoulder and I pulled back. As I was pulling, the ground fell from under my feet and the man let go in shock. I fell down unable to catch myself. I hit what felt like grass and my vision turned black unable to keep consciousness.

The metal dug into my skin creating burns and blisters that would take a while to recover. The metal cuffs I wore were crude and big unlike the handcuffs I was used to seeing in the past. There was a chain connected to my cuffs that a man in metal armor held in front of me. I have no idea why I was chained up, only that I woke up in the middle of a forest and was immediately cuffed and dragged away.

The man who is dragging me to wherever didn't speak to me but took orders from a man in shinier armor and none of them spoke any language I've ever heard. I guess I didn't get all the Isekai privileges I felt entitled to. They all looked like European white men with helmets so I couldn't see if they had crazy hair color but for the most part everything seemed like I time traveled or something. Except for not speaking a language I recognized.. Though in all fairness I wasn't very fluent in anything besides american english but I've done some 'guess the language' videos and nothing sounded like whatever this language was.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by a hard tug to the chain that almost sent me flat on my face. He spoke out some phrase "fardashin" which I assumed meant something along the lines of 'hurry up' or 'keep walking.' I'll just believe he said 'may you please hurry person who obviously is in a new world.' There's no point in trying to talk to these people who don't speak my language since it might make them think I'm an alien or a terrorist.
