Chapter 35 - Rescue on first week of Vacation

Elarion left Crimsonveil duchy, before leaving he looked behind one last time ...

Why???

To looo at that place, he grew up at, it looked like a black and white scene from a horror book, not his type.

---

Elarion's POV:-

I left Crimsonveil, leaving the place and going far.

I don't have any direction or place I want to go, but I am just going with the flow.

Walking and walking(Running actually), I left the lands under duchy and entered an abandoned forest.

Best place to train. And the best shortcut to go to another kingdom...

Before all, I wanted to look around a little. This place felt too eerie for no reason, so I decided to check in case...just in case,I found something interesting.

As i stepped forward, I came really deep inside the forest.

The forest swallowed everything. Light, sound, even time.

POV ends:-

---

Elarion moved through it like a shadow.

His eyes scanned broken trees, half-sunk stones, until they found the shape he was looking for, a strange place: an abandoned structure hidden in the middle of nowhere. Cracked stone, rusted iron gates.

A place that felt like even the air refused to touch it.

The scent hit him first. Blood. Old, dried, but still sharp. And beneath that, faint, muffled whimpers.

Children.

He could hear them even from outside thanks to his sharpen senses.

His expression didn't change, but his pace quickened.

Their was a magical device, to identify people.

The gate opened. Elarion knew their must be traps on the way ,since, the device won't recognise him as— no danger.

The entrance hall stretched long and narrow, shadows pooling like liquid along the cracked walls.

Every step Elarion took was silent until a faint snap echoed under his foot.

He twisted sideways just in time. A poisoned arrow sliced past his shoulder, embedding into the wall. His eyes narrowed. Tripwire.

"Crude," he murmured under his breath. But only the beginning.

Ahead, a rusted door. He moved carefully, hand brushing the handle. A whisper of movement — hidden needles shot out, coated in paralysis toxin.

Elarion slash them all with his sword.

A poison needle still hitted him, but thanks to his power, given by God. It also nullifies the poison.

He needs more precision.

The power regenerate his limbs, heal wounds and also detoxify, but won't heal sickness.

Well, who is he to complain.

As he move forward the traps keep getting more intense and hard.

Deeper in, the corridor narrowed. Metal plates replaced tiles underfoot. Pressure traps. Elarion crouched, tossing a loose stone forward.

The ceiling collapsed where the stone landed, sending dust and crushed stone billowing out. Mapping the path in his mind, Elarion advanced step by step, weaving through pressure points, his reflexes precise.

When a collapsing wall came from the side, he reacted instinctively —his eyes glowed in that place, sensing the incoming danger which he had no time to react to. Though he could just hit them hard enough to break but...

Suddenly the wall stopped, buying him just enough space to slip through.

He sat there looking at the mess ahead. His mind wondering, how could it happen.

A coincidence?? Nah! Elarion doesn't believe it.

A power, a new power inside him. His suspicion was right, his eyes hold a unique power, a power he couldn't pinpoint in his past life.

He again tried, focusing on a small rock before him. His eyes again glowed and...

Whoosh.....

The rock flew in the sky.

'Telekinesis, a forgotten power.' he muttered under his breath.

But he had no time in dilly- dallying, he pick up his pace and opened the door which seems to be the last one.

The final trap came as a green hiss: acid, pouring in sheets from hidden gaps. Elarion grabbed a corpse from the hallway and tossed it through. It dissolved instantly.

Using metal pipes running along the walls, he climbed, gripping steel and stone until he crossed above the acid. His body moved like a machine, sharp and measured.

When he reached the last steel door, his cloak was torn, but it didn't slow him. Already, any small scratches were healing.

-----

Elarion opened the last door, leading him to a laboratory type room

Inside the room, a single lamp flickered. A man in a lab coat stood in the center, face gaunt, eyes too calm.

Elation after seeing the calmness of the man, knew that what he thought was the last trap might not be last.

Before he could move, a huge pressure wave run down on him and the ground beneath collapsed, and their was a pool.

Pool filled with chemical, acids. It dissolved Elarion's body, he was reckless, he indeed was, but it's fine.

His regeneration power kept healing him while chemicals kept dissolving him.

His body hurted like hell, he escaped and left the pool, standing in front of the man.

The shock and fear was evident on that man's face as he started pushing random buttons and asked for back up.

Elarion shut his mouth before he could utter another word.

Elarion pushed the man on the ground and took his robe to cover his body which was burned and disallowed almost.

Their was no flesh on his body, his bones were visible.

If not for healing power, he would have had been nearly crippled, why?? Because he is not as weak.

He is 4th stage which he broke through just now.

Healing ability= 10x times normal person.

Of course he would have been crippled and disfigured for life.

So...

Now, now, we can't forgive him, can we???...

Elarion smile didn't reach his eyes. His eyes shown thinking of what he would have done to that man if he was in hell.

This is the one of the rare times, he miss hell.

But it's fine, he can still make this man see his future, giving him a free trial not a bad ide, right??....
