"You've got to be kidding me!" she snapped, slamming her foot down hard enough to crack the floor. The wood groaned, and a hole opened beneath her.
She let out a long sigh, trying to calm herself. Walking back to the bed, she sat down gently.
She looked up—the red screen still hovered before her.
"I don't want to be a yandere, thanks. Close system." She tried what she had read in so many novels, but the screen didn't budge.
"Close system! Reject! Shut down! I don't know!!" she growled, burying her head in her hands when she realized begging was pointless.
The screen began spinning in circles around her head. Xu Yuying raised an eyebrow, confused by the sudden motion.
Soon, the message disappeared and was replaced by another.
[Request denied! You're way too hot to ignore the heroine!]

Xu Yuying read the new message carefully, and with each line, her expression grew more horrified.
Her fists clenched instinctively.
"Goddammit!" she screamed, throwing herself onto the bed and burying her face in the pillow to muffle the scream clawing its way out of her throat.
