Monica's POV
The day had drained every ounce of energy from me, but the exhaustion felt worth it. My friends had proven themselves wedding planning warriors. We'd secured everything - florals, catering, musicians, a string quartet for the ceremony, party favors, the guest list, our cake, and most importantly, my dress. Since I'd opted for elegance over extravagance, the process moved quickly, yet everything felt absolutely perfect.
The notary Jason recommended had already penciled us in, and we'd spoken with the priest. He'd initially balked at blessing our union without the pre-marriage counseling, but Natalie worked her particular brand of persuasion. By the end of our conversation, he'd agreed to meet with us Friday morning for an abbreviated course and would perform the blessing.
