Monica's POV
The Friday before our wedding vanished in a blur of activities that Natalie had meticulously scheduled. She complained endlessly about me "cheating" by spending the previous night with Morris. After our morning meeting with the priest, we separated—the women following one itinerary while the men, including our fathers and Austin, accompanied Morris on his own pre-wedding obligations. By nightfall, exhaustion claimed me completely, and I collapsed into unconsciousness the moment my head touched the pillow.
Then suddenly, it was here—my wedding day.
"Rise and shine, bride-to-be!" Natalie's cheerful voice pierced through my dreams as she burst into my room carrying a breakfast tray. The delicious spread was shared with my closest circle—my mother, Paula, Kayla, and my friends. After eating, we headed to what would now be my new home—the elegant house that once belonged to Morris's parents.
