Morris's POV
Thirty minutes after leaving Monica, I stormed into Darren's residence, my mind a battleground of emotions. I was livid with myself for letting corporate espionage destroy what I had with the only woman I'd ever truly loved. The fact that I had to abandon her for yet another meeting only compounded my frustration.
Harris greeted me with a grim expression. "I know this ruins your evening, Morris, but time is critical. We need immediate action."
"I just want this nightmare finished," I said, collapsing into an armchair. "I need to purge my company of these backstabbers and win Monica back." I loosened my tie, feeling suffocated. "What couldn't wait until morning?"
"You remember Gaia?" Harris asked, gesturing to the woman sitting quietly in the corner.
"The undercover operative placed on the executive floor with Dorothy," I nodded. "Tell me Dorothy isn't involved in this conspiracy."
