A Death Of A Loved One
Mandla threw a punch as fast as a bullet slicing the air into two, Brian blocked the fist from reaching his face using his forearm as a shield. He bent down and threw a punch of his own right towards Mandla's stomach, pushing Mandla inches away from him. Brian quickly span on the ground like a fierce tornado to trip Mandla but he quickly avoided Brian's trip by doing a front flip.
Brian stood and tried to land multiple jabs and a uppercut on Mandla but Mandla dodged Brian's attacks effortlessly. He countered Brian with 2 jabs of his own and a downright cut to Brian's face separating them like two magnets repelling from one another.
Mandla walked towards Brian with a grin on his face appearing, he was a monster born in the darkness about to feast on his prey.
"It's like the olden days isn't?", He paused for a second "Brian!", His voice exploded.
Brian launched himself up and stood on his feet.
"Yeah but this time we're not sparing", His voice was steady as he brushed the dirt off his shoulder.
The wind blew over their heads, their were lions that were about to duel, chain's of hell were about to break loose, the moon shone above them.
In a enormous speed Brian rushed and kicked Mandlenkosi in the chin sending him sky high. Brian jumped in the air right above Mandlenkosi, He rotated and kicked Mandlenkosi on the stomach with his heel.
"Brian Barrage!", He shouted.
Mandla fell like a rocket that failed to reach the sky he was sent crashing down into the ground meanwhile Brian landed safely on the ground he reached for his head and shook it.
"I feel dizzy", Brian stammered.
Mandla leaped out of the hole and threw a lightning fast blow, Brian sprang backwards avoiding contact with Mandla's punch. Mandla's fist collided with the ground creating a hole.
"What a lucky boy", Mandla spoke softly.
He dashed towards Brian leaving nothing behind him but mere dust. Mandla threw a punch fast as the speed of sound towards Brian, Brian raised his arm and blocked the attacked using his forearm, but blocking Mandlenkosi's attack came with a cost. Brian's bone got slightly fractured. Brian eyes widened.
"One more attack like this, it's a goodbye to my arm", he muttered.
Mandla threw a punch using his other hand, Brian quickly diverted Mandla's attack by quickly pressing it down sacrificing his stomach. Mandla's fist connected with Brian's stomach sending shockwaves in him. Brian got pushed away separating him and Mandla few metres apart Brian trying to regain his balance slowly panted, trying to catch his breath. Brian looked upon the ground as he couldn't get a vivid picture his vision became blurry in every second.
Blood dripping on the floor, his arms hanging on his shoulders as if they were going to fall off. Mandla swooped his legs tripping Brian, Brian lost his balance and fell on the ground like gravity pulling him. Mandla stood over Brian and stepped on his face.
"Same fate, similar death", Mandla spoke in a low tone.
He began stomping on Brian's face over and over like a never ending story, The wind became silent, The moon cried, the stars were in shock silence wafted the only thing that was heard was Mandla's stomping.
"What's this?", a thought hovered in Brian's mind, "I can hear my own heart beat"
"Gugu-gugu-gu-gu", the heartbeat was getting fainter
"I can hear it becoming fainter", He whispered under his breath, suddenly his heartbeat stopped
Mandla pressed his first two finger to check any pulse on Brian's neck. There was no response he then drifted his attention and slowly walked away
"Promise me one thing, Kill them all at any cost", Leo's voice echoed inside Brian, "Brian let's not do this", Pheello's voice followed
Brian's heart began to beat giving him strength to fulfill his duties, he slowly raised himself once again he was a soldier with an incomplete task. Mandla gazed at Brian with his eyes widening.
"How are you still alive", his voice was trembling, "Nevermind this time I'll make no mistake", His voice filled with confidence
Brian's face was covered with blood like a cloth covering his face, Mandla ran towards Brian the tress passing him the wind brushing over his face. Mandla threw one last powerful punch. Brian remained calm and took a deep breath-he dodged Mandla's attack at the slightest second
"Critical blows", he spoke softly
Brian's body temperature increased like a boiling pot, he senses increased his heart rate began to speed up. Brian quickly landed a powerful blow on Mandla's noise bridge, Mandla stepped back. Brian landed multiple strikes like a mantis he struck Mandla's eyes to blind him followed by his temples, throat, solar plexus leaving no room for Mandla to fight back he lastly added a finisher. Brian with all his might struck Mandla with a spinning kick on his jaws twisting his neck. Mandla's life was kicked out of him, his lifeless body dropped on the ground.
Mandla's skin became pale his body didn't flinch an inch. Brian's feet screeched on the grass, his right hand on his left rib, blood sliding down over his face. Brian dragged himself, he couldn't get a clear picture his own blood blinded his vision. He saw Pheello's and collapsed right besides her. Brian turned his head towards Pheello as he began uttering his final words
"I'm sorry", Brian stammered "Please forgive me, in another life would you marry me and willing to start a fresh a life where we are not hunters but as normal citizens"
"Yes a life like that would be great", Pheello tried cracking a smile
"I finally did it Leo", He thought silently
Pheello and Brian held hands, gazing at each other as their final breath left their lungs.
