Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: D-Day

In a small town, far off in the mountains, where clouds clung low and a silver river flowed gently beside the valley, lived the people of Elmbury.

The town was surrounded by thick forests, filled with strange birds and animals the world had never truly known. There was something ancient about the place—something that made it feel both peaceful and unknowably deep. And in its heart, lived the three peoples of Elmbury—each different, yet once united.

The people of Elmbury came in different races and colors, but they lived together under one sky.

Among them were The Blues—known for their strong sense of self-respect. They were calm and steady, speaking little but acting wisely. They did not seek attention or power, yet they were always willing to help those in need. That made them deeply respected—not just for their kindness, but for the quiet strength behind it.

Then came The Whites—called the purest among them. They were the ones who ran the town's business, made the laws, and managed its affairs. It was through their systems that Elmbury remained organized and in balance. People trusted them with leadership—and for a long time, they led well.

Lastly, there were The Reds—the fighters. They were powerful and brave, the first to rise when danger came near. Strongest in body and spirit, the Reds carried pride in every step. Passionate and bold, they were often feared, often admired, and never ignored.

Though different, the three groups lived in peace—each offering what the others lacked. The strength of the Reds, the leadership of the Whites, the wisdom and dignity of the Blues.

It was a balanced society.

Until years ago—when the fire came.

It began suddenly, without warning, deep within the Whites' territory. No one saw where it started. But when it rose—it rose fast. Flames lit the skies. Smoke rolled down the streets like black thunderclouds. People screamed and ran for safety—fleeing toward the Blues and the Reds.

The pressure fell hard on both groups. Yet somehow, they endured.

The Blues, calm as ever, organized the frightened, but some of them were worried as this had never happened before. The Reds used strength no one knew they still had. Together, they managed to extinguish the fire—but not without cost.

Because by the time the flames had died…

The unfortunate had already happened.

"Something had shifted."
