Chapter 136 - Crushing Defeat at First Contact

Being held in the air by the MK2 Armor and tossed around the whole way, Hulk was already on the verge of losing control. If Tony Stark's upgraded MK2 Armor hadn't been performing so well, he might have been torn apart on the way.

Tony Stark threw him to the ground, not without a desire for revenge.

"Roar!"

This fall hurt terribly. Hulk spread his arms and roared angrily at Tony Stark in the air.

Captain Johnson, who was sitting on the Hulk's butt, was even angrier; that fall had broken his spine. He opened his maw towards the Hulk.

Blazing green flames gushed from his mouth, directly engulfing the Hulk. Although the temperature of the green flames was far less than Norman Osborn's radiation heat ray, it was still deadly.

"Quick, save him!"

Steve couldn't help but exclaim in alarm. He hadn't expected that one of the reinforcements would be sacrificed the moment they arrived.

"Don't worry, if this temperature of flame could kill the Hulk, S.H.I.E.L.D. would be in a much better position,"

Tony Stark hovered in the air, focusing most of his attention on Norman Osborn. The data detected by the optical measurement sensors was about to max out, not much weaker than Broly in New York. How could such troublesome guys keep popping up one after another?

The MK2's remote detection hadn't missed Norman Osborn's heat ray either.

"This monster... it's practically a mobile nuclear reactor..."

He spoke in a breathless tone.

Suddenly, a large hand pierced through the burning green flames, firmly gripping Captain Johnson's throat, forcing the remaining flames back into his mouth.

The Hulk's blackened face emerged, the high-temperature flames having burned away his only pair of shorts. Although he seemed completely devoid of reason, he was actually another persona of Bruce Banner, and also possessed a sense of shame.

He roared and slammed a fist into Captain Johnson's chest.

Captain Johnson's burly frame crumpled like a smashed tomato, a large chunk of his chest caving in. His ribs were nearly all broken, and his internal organs were reduced to mush, with chunks of them spewing from his mouth.

That single punch had almost killed him.

His body wriggled, rapidly healing as he struggled violently, trying to break free from Hulk's grip.

Hulk slammed another punch into his chest, following up with a barrage of rapid blows that hammered Captain Johnson into a tattered, mangled mess.

Steve gaped, witnessing the exceptionally bloody scene.

"I think you should just freeze me again."

Norman Osborn sounded somewhat agitated.

"The Green Giant? That byproduct of the gamma experiment?"

As the chairman of the Osborn Group, he possessed extremely high-level access, granting him knowledge of numerous confidential military projects.

"You know the Hulk?"

The Hulk released his grip, tossing aside the mangled remains of Captain Johnson, and turned his gaze towards Norman Osborn, who towered over him.

"Of course, a beast devoid of reason," Norman Osborn said, looking at the Hulk. "And it almost killed my pet."

The Hulk, already prone to extreme rage, was instantly provoked. He let out a roar and leaped, covering a distance of dozens of meters in an instant, hurtling towards Norman Osborn like a cannonball.

"BOOM!"

He was sent flying backward at an even greater speed. His powerful body crashed through the sturdy outer wall, entering the building and embedding itself in a load-bearing wall.

Norman Osborn had the overwhelming advantage in terms of strength.

"Boring ants."

After gaining Godzilla's genes, he cast aside all of humanity's desires: power, wealth, and beauty. Only power, the nuclear energy that allowed him to evolve, was real. The Green Giant, a problem the human military couldn't solve, felt as weak as a baby in his hands.

Even Hulk felt like all his bones were about to break after taking that hit. He pulled himself away from the wall with some difficulty. Anger fueled his power, rising steadily.

He roared, ripping a massive chunk of concrete from the wall and hurling it at Norman Osborn.

The entire chunk of concrete weighed several tons, whistling terrifyingly through the air. Any ordinary person hit by it would be turned into a bloody pulp.

Norman Osborn didn't dodge, letting the deadly boulder slam into him. The concrete shattered, but he was unharmed.

He pushed off with his powerful hind legs, his large and heavy body rocketing towards Hulk at an astonishing speed. He brought his hands down in a hammer blow to Hulk's head.

Hulk's body smashed through the building's floor, tearing through several underground levels before finally creating a massive, crater-like depression in the lowest-level parking garage.

The entire building shook violently, and the people hiding inside let out a gasp of surprise.

His strong body was embedded in the rubble, and he was wailing in pain.

Tony Stark gasped, letting the Green Giant attack the monster in front of him just to probe its capabilities. He hadn't expected that the Hulk, who could easily tear tanks apart, would be so powerless.

This monster, unlike its massive size, was unexpectedly agile.

He couldn't let this monster continue to cause destruction. The jet propulsion on the MK2 Armor emitted a dazzling plasma stream, propelling the machine to accelerate rapidly.

He flew directly into the building, wrapped his arms around Norman Osborn's body, and pushed him out of the building, throwing him hard onto the road.

"Jarvis! Initiate full-scale attack!"

The armor on the back of the MK2 Armor immediately opened up like scales, revealing the internal missile nests.

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"

Dense swarms of anti-tank missiles, like buzzing bees, streaked through the air, slamming into Norman Osborn.

With his massive size and intense energy signature, Tony Stark didn't even need to aim.

"Boom!"

A series of concentrated explosions erupted as twenty-four miniature anti-tank missiles, each capable of piercing the frontal armor of a main battle tank, struck their target.

"Alert! Alert! Energy readings unchanged!"

Jarvis issued a warning immediately.

"Of course, I know that. There's no way these weapons could hurt that monster."

Tony Stark said, "These missiles are for the Green Goblin. They're mainly to restrain him because he's good at moving at high speeds. I don't expect them to actually hurt him."

He continued, "It's the same against that monster. I just want to suppress it temporarily, so I can launch the real killing blow."

"Activate MK3, launch the attack, and mind the damage radius. Don't destroy the main structures of the surrounding buildings," he instructed Jarvis.
