Kaal was gasping for breath, clutching his chest with a trembling hand. Warm blood leaked between his fingers, staining his palm. His heart was pounding so violently it felt as though it would burst out of his chest at any moment. leaving his body frozen and his mind blank. He couldn't think, couldn't move, couldn't even understand what to do next.
just when despair was about to swallow him whole, a sharp voice cut through the fog of fear.
"Wake up"
"Maa" Kaal's eyes widened. For a fleeting second, he thought it was his mother's voice, calling out to him from beyond the grave. His heart twisted. But then, the voice grew clearer, more commanding.
It wasn't his mother. It was kapil.
"Use your skill, kaal! Quickly!"
His breath hitched. His Hands shook. But the desperation in kapil's voice forced him to act. With his last ounce of courage, Kaal summoned the ability within him-God eyes.
The world transformed instantly. The hazy blur sharpened into crystal clarity. Every detail around him came alive-the shifting mist, the trembling ground, and most of all, the monstrous insect towering before him. Its body was grotesque, covered in black, chitinous armor. Dozens of legs scraped the earth, its mandibles dripping with venom, and its soulless eyes glowed with hunger.
The beast lunged.
Kaal's instincts screamed. His body reacted before his mind could think. He threw himself sideways-just in time. The monster's clows tore into the earth where he had been standing a heartbeat earlier. The strike was so powerful that the ground itself exploded, sending shockwaves that struck Kaal's chest.
The impact hurled him across the battlefield like a broken doll. He hit the ground hard. The air was ripped from his lungs in a strangled cry. Pain flared in every bone of his body.
"arghh-!"
dizzy, he tried to get up, but his surroundings were changing again.
A heavy mist swirled around him, thick and suffocating. Shadows twisted inside it, and the sound of clicking mandibles and skittering legs echoed from every direction. He couldn't see clearly. He couldn't tell where the monster was . His heart hammered even louder.
Than another violent tremor shook the earth. Kaal struggling to keep his footing.
And suddenly-he was no longer standing.
His body lifted off the ground. Weightless. Helpless.
"What-what happening to me?!"
The ground fell away beneath him, vanishing into the mist. His arms flailed wildly as he rose higher and higher into the darkened sky. The wind roared in ears. His stomach twisted as if the world itself had betrayed him. And then-without waring-the invisible force released him.
He plummeted.
The sky hurled him back toward the ground like a discarded toy.
The world spun in a dizzy blur. The desert rushed upward to meet him, merciless and unyielding. His scream tore from his throat but was drowned out by the howling wind. Death was only seconds away.
But then- hands appeared.
Dozens of them. Strange, glowing hands materialized from nowhere, wrapping around his arms, his legs, his chest. They slowed his fall, catching him just before he struck the earth. They saved him - but the impact still jolted through his body with bone-shattering force.
"AGHH-!"
Pain exploded everywhere. He felt bones crack. His vision blurred. His limbs shook uncontrollably.
Kaal collapsed, writhing on the ground. He tried to breathe, but each breath burned. His eyes rolled back, heavy with exhaustion. His body was on the edge of breaking.
And then... a voice.
deep. Mocking. Amused.
'hehe... not bad. The boy actually survived. to fall from such a height and still live... what kind of creature is he?"
Kaal wanted to respond, but his lips refused to move. Darkness pulled at him, stronger than the pain. His body went limp. His eyes closed.
And the last thing he carried into unconsciousness was the echo of that cruel laughter, lingering like a curse in his ears.
