The writer sends their regards.
Hiatus? Nope, wouldn't call it that.
Then again, this description isn't quite off the mark.
Time Skip is what it is.
A typical event like in any other story.
The writer, core of Simple Journal, went missing in active duty.
Why is that?
Like heck I know!!
I just arrived!!

Don't nobody appreciate a bit'ta humor anymore, huh~
In any case, be that as it may, it really is just a time skip; nothing more, nothing less.
Yes I'll explain damnit, just chill.
So what could be the cause?
HP? Nay, would've noticed it.
Meself? Nay, not the writer.
An inevitable event? Nay, nothing of the sort.
.... Could it have been you, the reader?
No way fam, you're cool.
We appreciate ya.
Then who? Or what could've forcefully induced a time skip arc on the writer....
Well ain't life a paradox.... even we couldn't have foreseen that we'd be done in....
By an inside job....
Dear reader, it was none other than....
Simple Journal itself.
That's right, we'll say it again.
It was none other than Simple Journal itself....
Hm? Oh my, please don't misunderstand.
This isn't reallocation of responsibility, after all, not only are we accountable for all of our actions, but Simple Journal is a part of the writer themselves by definition.
That's why we said it's an inside job.
An elaborate form of self-sabotage.
Simple Journal.... 邪魔だから.
.... Jamadakara.
Because it's in the way.
Simple Journal.... was in the way.
It got in the way of Quantum Essence....
The sense of betrayal that the writer felt upon realizing....
Simple Journal.... sabotage?
No.... they couldn't understand it, this shocking realization was incomprehensible....
It was.... it was ....
Simple Journal was born of the writer, by the writer, for the writer, to ensure their growth....
Nay.... No!! No!!
Something's amiss!!
Make it make sense!!
Simple Journal has unfaltering loyalty since birth. Betrayal is out of the question.
But.... It's a fact that indeed, Simple Journal did get in the way of Quantum Essence, sabotaging the writer.... Keeping them preoccupied, crippled by their idealistic standards & rare of growth....
It was incomprehensible....
Till a clear verdict was made, a seal was placed on Simple Journal to reallocating efforts towards Quantum Essence.
Thus the timeskip.

And here we are today.
One week later.
A thorough investigation has been carried out, all relevant documents & testimonies brought to light under inspection.
Result of which the jury has come to the conclusion that;
In true devotion to it's purpose, Simple Journal has acted within its framework with diligence, honesty & loyalty.
Yet the fact stands that there has been undeniable sabotage by Simple Journal on the writer, & Quantum Essence by extension. The verdict;
With no malicious intentions on scene, the jury had come to the judgement that it was an achievement of Simple Journal, thereby clearing its name.
In pursuit of its purpose to ensure the writer's progress, Simple Journal has achieved splendid work.... so much such that it had gone full circle & led to unintended sabotage.... it ensured progress, that when achieved, it had further plans for progress, that when achieved....
Inevitably leading to self-sabotage & crippling the writer.
As the saying goes, too much of anything turns against itself.
Therefore; in light of the aforementioned details:
Simple Journal has been cleared of all major charges of betrayal & maliceful sabotage; the seal is to be lifted thereupon.
With the condition of accepting regulatory restrictions upon its framework.

Well, that's about it for the time skip.
It's a relief to have Simple Journal with us once again, appreciated, the writer.
It was a wonder what would be in store for them from here on.
Well, that was indeed pretty tense & livid.
But let's not get too sentimental.
We should focus our attention on the bright side. The silver lining.
How can there be a time skip with respecting the main quality of this troupe, the special return event. Hehehehe
Simple Journal was on seal, all writer's efforts were on Quantum Essence during the time skip....
